    I did one extra SC row at the end (row 10 - SC 8) . The top was shorter than the bottom, and that makes both the top and bottom the same. I love this pattern.

      You're welcome. They work up really fast. I like that they are "reversible".

      I am glad you like it. They can be made so quickly. I use roughly 10 yards of yarn for each although sometimes I use a different yarn for the border. I will make several and then finally sew in all of the ends.

    I’ve been looking for a pattern that wouldn’t drive me nuts.. A friend asked me to make some pocket prayer squares for her ministry.. I absolutely love 💕 your tutorial and the fact that I have a large container of beads I go from my daughter & I’ve been wondering what to do with them.. Thank you so much for an awesome tutorial.. 😎

    why do my beads look crooked...it's like they are leaning to the side. Is that how it's supposed to be? I try and straightened them out but I'm sure they won't stay. I do love making them though!! Thank you!

    • @carolhipple9903
      @carolhipple9903  Год назад

      When you add the bead you are just doing a slip stitch instead of a single crochet in that stitch. You also want to elongate the loop for the slip stitch. Maybe you are pulling it too tightly?

    This is lovely. Thank you for the video. May I ask a question? Why do you not thread the beads on the yarn before you start the piece. I haven't tried this yet but was just curious?😘

    • @carolhipple9903
      @carolhipple9903  Год назад +1

      I haven't tried threading them beforehand. I know by adding them as I crochet, the piece ends up being reversible. I think if they were preshrunk the beads would tend to pop out to one side only.

      @@carolhipple9903 Thank you for your reply. Maybe I will give it a try and let you know. I am certainly going to try your pattern. Thank you for sharing with us 😘

      @@carolhipple9903 Well, I did try threading the beads on first but it doesn't really make any difference, your method of crocheting the beads is absolutely brilliant though because it does make it reversable. All the other ways to join the beads with the work only allow you to have the beads viewed from one side. So Carol, take a bow 👏👏. I couldn't find my pony beads and went with some wooden beads and used a #8 crochet thread and an 8mm bead. I did have to change hooks to pull the thread through the hole of the bead but it did turn out so nice. Thank you once again for an excellent tutorial. God bless you for your help 😘

    What is your charity group? I could donate

    • @carolhipple9903
      @carolhipple9903  Год назад

      It is a small local one that donates blankets, hats, loves, prayer squares, etc to local hospitals, dialysis/cancer centers, VA center, and other places within about a 40 mile radius in Ohio. Thank you for offering but right now we are oversupplied with the prayer squares. Perhaps churches, a hospital, or nursing home in your area would like some?
