Thank you, thank you for this perfect and easy to follow tutorial. I'm newer to crochet, but wanted to add something hand crafted to my little granddaughters' Easter Baskets. I didn't have much time and my skills are a work in progress; but this project was just right. I made six bracelets using materials I had at home already and they looked so cute. Thank you for helping me to build confidence.
I love all of your videos. Most informative on RUclips. I am pretty new to all of this and I am so glad to have run into your page. Makin a pregnant lady happy. I love your personality as well....so refreshing.
I'm gonna give these a try and make some for my daughter and granddaughter, along with myself. Thanks again Jayda for an easy to make crochet item!! God Bless You!
i love your tutorials , you bring the people smile on theyer face, you spread positiv energy thank you for that. It is so fantastik for me ,that i can unerstand you .I live in Germany and my english is not too good . thank you
Jayda..The BEST Teacher ever!! I love your videos and your upbeat attitude!! You puts me at ease when I don't think I can do a certain Crochet. Keep up the GREAT work and I'll keep watching!!!
Thank you so much! I can tell husband the crochet around an elastic tie bcuz of the Facebook part. Still, amazing. God has surly blessed you in your lol journey! I'm so proud of you! The more I watch you the more I feel like family. Thank you again! 😍
Jayda I have had thread since last year and ive been so afraid to touch it haven't even opened it and now tonight I've done made me a bracelet and I am so excited :) thank you so much for doing these videos
+Jenny Croucher Hi Jenny! That tiny thread can be so intimidating! Using that tiny hook can take some getting used to (not to mention some cramping LOL) and these little projects are a great warm up :)
Jayda!!!! I commented asking s couple weeks ago if I could use embroidery floss cuz I didn’t have thread......well....... my aunt in law was cleaning out her mother in law’s attic (she was a seamstress but is in her nineties and is moving so she can be cared for by nurses)..... they gave me lots of things and I’ll tell you, omg bag after bag after bag of the thread I need! It was so kind of them to think of me!!! So grateful. And how fortuitous that I watched your video and now have the perfect thing to make my little girl! Thank you thank you!
Just did your project, but used smaller wooden beads (it was more natural hippy looking) that I prestrung (extra tedious) on my crochet thread before I started crocheting and just pulled a bead up into the final loop of the half-double crochet after every third stitch and am wearing as an anklet.
Really like your work. Your explanations is very clear and easy to understand. Did this bracelet and turns out pretty nice and Yes, you have to be very patient. Cool and love it! Hope to see more of your crochet! Have a good day!
This is awesome and the crochet around buttons is really really special I love it. I also see a white chicken in the background that I would like to know if you made a tutorial for that one? I just love all the ideas you come up with. You are truly blessed with so much talent and you are so positive and uplifting. Thank you again for sharing this with us all.
Hey Jayda! I know this video is older, but I just came across it. My husband has a bracelet that the kids made him with hemp thread. One of the threads had worn out, and he asked if there was another way I could make it stronger. I was thinking of doing this but wasn't sure exactly how. Thank you so much for your tutorial! This will be perfect so he can wear it for a few more years! I see that this video is before you got those pretty pink fairy scissors! I looked into purchasing some for myself, but they don't have pink. It's my favorite color, so I decided to wait. But thank you so much for ALL of your tutorials!! I have made so many things from your videos! And many more left on my list!! Your energy is amazing! Thank you again!!💖💟💖💟
Hi Jayda, that's really cute! Here's a friendly tip to everyone. If you don't have a large enough needle for the crochet thread, you can use a regular sewing needle and strong button or carpet thread to sew on the button.^';'^
This is such a neat idea that i am going to try some and see how they sell at a craft show in November since the younger girls liked the pony tail holders
I love this, i didnt have this kinda thread but i have embroidery floss and worked out great, thanks for sharing, i have alot of your videos saved as nd actually learned how to fine tune my crocheting from u, keep up the great work.. Hugs!!
Jen Hostetler Thank you Jen! I have crocheted using embroidery floss and I really love the effect - it's also helpful for making tiny details on Amigurumi :) I also find the colour choices with embroidery floss are so much more plentiful :) Definitely a great medium for making bracelets!
Meaghan M Ohmygosh! You can even add cute little trinkets to the middle of them! Just grab your needle-nosed pliers and add them in at the end :) CUTE!!!
Meaghan M That's a great idea! I'm going to make sis in law bracelets too...maybe I can even find some kind of special sis beads for them. Thanks for sharing! :)
I love this I have never worked with small hooks before, now I really want to try. I will try this, feeling a little nervous though. Great video Jayda, always love to see what you come up with!
I have this tread and have a suggestion for pretty beads made with scarves I use dental floss to thread my small beads on and let them dangle till I need them, great idea Thank you
can you do a tutorial on the light blue one on your arm? i tried the white one and it came out really well except i put findings on the end rather than a button.
Hi Jayda..I inherited a lot of thin thread when my mom passed. I've made a lot of things with it. :) Every time I watch your videos I see an adorable crochet baby doll on your shef. Do You By Chance have have a pattern for it? Would love to make some. Thank you
Hi Connie! I'd love to see some of what you've made with your mom's crochet thread! 😄 The Baby Doll pattern is available in my Etsy shop, thank you so much for asking! It's an eBook titled Baby Dolls of The World. You can visit my shop at www.etsy.com/ca/shop/jaydainstitches
Thank you Jayda..Might be awhile as most are in storage due to moving a lot . Preparing for a major move back to my home state of Vermont next month from Va.
+luvmyhobbies It doesn't really matter what size crochet thread you use - 3 is good (because it's a little bigger and easier to manipulate) but 10 makes for a fine, lacy looking bracelet too :)
+Gen Jean Hi Gen, I think you might be referring to one of my 'baby dolls' - I have written a crochet e-book called "Baby Dolls of the World" and it's for sale in my Etsy shop - if you want to take a look at it, you can visit at www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches Thank you for watching :)
Jayda InStitches hmm perhaps I should get some of the thread then. My little girl is a princess but a tomboy as well and is quite rough on things lol. I was actually given some things from a 93 year old seamstress. I’ll have to see if she gave me any thread!! 😄
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you so much. I was sooooo hoping that you had crocheted those little darlings. Thanx for all your wonderful patterns and tutorials.. They're so much fun.
Hi Linda, increasing and decreasing can mean very different things depending on the project :) We have a tutorial coming up this Friday that uses very simple increasing and decreasing that you might want to check out!
My mother in law made me a choker that looked just like that when I was a newlywed in the early 70's. I wore it whenever I wanted to feel like a hippie.
Hi Nancy! Yes, I guess these are small pony beads, around here Pony Beads are generally packaged in a particular size (about twice the size of the ones I'm using) and these ones were simply called "plastic beads" 🤣
Hi Armanda! I get a lot of my little plastic beads at dollar stores (Dollarama here in Canada and also Dollar Tree carry them) and any department store with a craft section (like Walmart). These are usually only a dollar or 2 for a bag :)
thank you, I found them at Michael's yesterday. I am now making your summer shawl. Your tutorials are very easy to follow and I always view what you are posting.
I love her giggle. She makes crocheting fun. I think I want to make these for my Granddaughters

I learned how to crochet with thios crochet cotton you are using. Back then no one crocheted with wools.
I started fiddling with crochet thread a few years ago and realized I really enjoyed it! I was worried I might not have the patience for it LOL

+luvmyhobbies It doesn't really matter what size crochet thread you use - 3 is good (because it's a little bigger and easier to manipulate) but 10 makes for a fine, lacy looking bracelet too :)

do you have a video on the crochet baby that's sitting on your yarn shelf if not can you make one

can you make a video I'm not that good at crocheting with a book
Would embroidery floss work?
I would love to make one for my little girl
Yes! That would work, it might not be as "strong" as the thread, but you can still crochet with the floss :)
Jayda InStitches hmm perhaps I should get some of the thread then. My little girl is a princess but a tomboy as well and is quite rough on things lol.
