Doing knots like that is a whole craft in and of itself. It's called macrame. You can make all sorts of knots and make cool wall hangings. I believe the knot in this video is called the snoopy knot. It's a really cool craft!
I have a friend who wants me to make her a friendship bracelet. I learned to crochet well over a month ago and I love it. So I'm going to make her this.
@@SweetSofties The collars came out great! My sister was scared they’d be too tight but the kittens actually have been getting out of them easily on their own, so definitely safe for them. XD
I started crocheting less than two months ago. The bracelet looks just like in the video. Very good instructions. Made the slider with the beads, but it’s way too big. Measured my wrist and thought it was perfect. Any ideas what went wrong! I’ll make another with less stitches. Thank you for showing written instructions . 💜😎🇺🇸
Thank you, glad you liked the bracelet! I'm not sure about the slider part...hmmm. I think your idea of making another with fewer stitches will definitely make it shorter!
Thanks so much! I've been looking on Pinterest for a good crochet bracelet pattern, not too lacy but not too simple. Turns out all I had to do was check your channel! I love the crochet portion, the clasp, the beads- it's just perfect. Just one thing I wanted to ask your advice on-- Should I make the crochet bit a little smaller than my wrist, so it's not too big once I add the clasp? I wouldn't want to have the bracelet and clasp too large, even when it's fully tightened. I think I'll just let it run small and be adjustable rather than accidentally making it too big, but what do you think? You probably have lots more experience than me 😊
Hi! Glad you like this pattern! I think it'd be a good idea to make the crochet part shorter than your wrist so that you can use the clasp portion to tighten it. I think it looks nicer that way too! Hope this helps!
hey! welcome, my friend has her birthday by the end of this month, and i wanted to make a bracelet with a cute pendant in between, but i was really confused about how to do it. hence i have a request if you could make the video in this mnth, thank you so much😊😊@@SweetSofties
Thanks and to start, you will crochet an odd number of chains to the desired length of the bracelet! You can also adjust it by using different types of yarn/thread and hook sizes!
Thank you very much for this video. I made it successfully by following your tutorial. I will try selling them to earn extra money to help my family during these difficult times. I hope that's fine with you. Again, thank you very much and I wish you good health. God Bless you!
That is so sweet to hear! Yay!! I wish you all the best in selling these bracelets. I hope your family situation will get better too; these are difficult times indeed. You are welcome to sell as long as you credit me as the designer and include my website, for example: "Designed by Sweet Softies, www.sweetsofties.com" Thank you!
You say that you are giving a free written pattern but I can't even print it for myself so it's easier to read. I don't mind buying some of your beautiful patterns but I can't afford to buy all the ones I like to crochet. Can you please tell how I can copy it for free for my personal use please You say it's free. Thank you. Lettie
I should have said that you did a fine job but it was spoilt by the comment that I'd made ie: You omitted to say don’t EVER get polish on the two cords or they won’t slide!!!!!! if someone made the whole bracelet and it looked so good, it would be a shame to have the nail polish ruin the whole thing. Thanks for replying anyway. L
I'm sorry I didn't mention that warning; it slipped my mind because I thought telling crocheters to put nail polish on the tips of the yarn ends would mean the assumption of not putting nail polish anywhere else. Thanks for the feedback, I'm very sorry you didn't like this.
I am from the Philippines and I used to do that knotting part as a full on bracelet using nylon when I was still in elementary 💜
That's so awesome, I'd like to try that knotting as a full-on bracelet too! Good idea!

For those who are familiar with macramé, the class creation is a succession of square knots

the written directions on step 2 say to do a Hdc in the 2nd chain from hook, but you say to do a Dc in the video.
Oops! Hmm... do the HDC!
Love it

what was the little move you did at the beginning when you started your chain?
Slip knot
Thanks for answreing, Xenalyn! Yes it's a slip knot to start off the chain!
You say that you are giving a free written pattern but I can't even print it for myself so it's easier to read. I don't mind buying some of your beautiful patterns but I can't afford to buy all the ones I like to crochet. Can you please tell how I can copy it for free for my personal use please
You say it's free. Thank you. Lettie
Yes, it's free to view on my blog! :) You just scroll down to the "crochet instructions" section.
Would you have a link to where you got your wooden beads and the size of the beads please? Thank u
So sorry but I don't have that info! I forgot where I had gotten the beads from; they were from way long ago!
Love this and my granddaughter is going to love it too. Do you think the beads would be ok for boys bracelet?
I think so! You can ask the boys if they want beads or not! :)
Do you have a way to do these bracelets with multiple colors? Thanks
Hi, I haven't tried that yet! I think the easiest way may be to get a variegated color yarn.
Wonder if you could use tee shirt yarn??
You can, but t-shirt yarn tends to be pretty bulky so this will probably come out to be quite a chunky bracelet!
hii question, what if we dont have clear nail polish to secure the end is there an alternative?
Maybe try a knot?
You can also try glue
I used clear glue worked great
Hi mam could u tell me , is this thread was wool or embroidery thread???
Pl let me know where to get good yarn in Chennai thank u
I'm not sure where Chennai is, but I recommend getting a cotton yarn for bracelets! :) Do you have any cotton yarn available where you are?
i wantcto learn from u my dearxthanks😅😅
Check out my video tutorials! I have lots of DIY projects on my channel!
