cleaning out our dryer vent. Part 1
We decided to take advantage of a fairly warm and dry day this week to clean out our dryer tubing. Even though we are very careful to always clean our the lint filter in the dryer between loads we still had a lot of lint collect along the tubing.
We had moved our dryer out of the laundry room to get new flooring installed. Mark decided to clean out the dryer vent. We temporarily reconnected the dryer hosing and put the dryer on a fluff cycle. Here is the result.

After working from the outside to clean out the dryer vent we moved indoors. Our venting has an "s" curve to it. Mark removed the vent and ran the cleaning device all the way from inside to the outdoors. He later reconnected the hose and more fluff blew out. Not shown but later when I ran an actual load in the dryer there was more fluff outside.

This is a shamrock pin that I am making for my granddaughters kindergarten class this year. a safety pin will be added later or you can add a magnet. items needed: 5 yards green #4 yarn, 1 googly eye finger puppet, G or H crochet hook. scissors. These take only 5 minutes to crochet once you understand the pattern.

We have used this system for several years for tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. supplies needed: 2 5-gallon buckets, 9 oz plastic cup, pvc pipe and 45° pvc bend. tools needed: hole saw, 1/4" drill bit, small knife, pvc cutters.
