[ENGLISH SUB] Insulation Resistance of Leather Gloves

Hi guys. In this video I tested the insulation resistance of a few pairs of leather gloves. I've seen folks use leather work gloves while taking electrical measurements in Category III and sometimes Category IV locations. I am not here to judge them, nor do I endorse this practice. But I was intrigued, though, if there was any significant insulation resistance on these leather work gloves, including those leather protector gloves themselves.
I hope this simple test provide some insights on the importance of Personal Protective Equipment, particularly electrical safety rubber gloves with their leather protectors. Work safely.

nice video... it would be interesting to check the very popular Nitrile gloves to see if nitrile (and nitrile foam) provide a proper resistance (insulation)

Right I’ve literally seen guys grab both phases with leathers and not even a sting so I’m curious as to how those cut gloves hold up

How to order electrical gloves with water resistance

I don't know what you mean by water resistance sir. I ordered my electrical safety rubber gloves from amazon. Two of them: ANSI/ASTM Certified, Arc Flash Class 00 (500V) & Class 0 (1000V). They were paired with suitable leather protector gloves as well. Hope this helps.
