2K should definitely try to port BioShock on mobile again. The 2014 port was so bad because the resources available were poor. A lot more resources are available now and maybe they could get another studio to do it.
we really need to keep berating levine with the idea of remakes. would love to play this on my ipad with a bluetooth controller maybe make it so the mobile hud can go away for that
It will be soon possible to emulate Switch version of Bioshock 1/2 via Suyu (Yuzu in the past), next generation of phones will definitely run it on stable 30 Fps.

$30 sounds reasonable for a mobile bioshock, assuming it's a pretty full game. And a lot of people use tablets and ipads nowadays to play games, so it could be a good experience. Glad to have you back! And I think it's always important to remember that nothing is permanent, including the way you feel.
No offence but people aren’t going to pay $30 for a mobile game. When people think of mobile games they think either free or at max $10.
I'd play it, for sure! Normally, I play Bioshock on a large TV, with good speakers, so I can be fully immersed in the city of Rapture; but I would definitely play it on my phone or tablet, too!
...I just can't get enough!!
I've just finished BioShock & BioShock 2 on Nintendo Switch, they both run surprisingly good to be honest! Never imagined 10+ years ago, you'd be able to play this great series on a handheld console!
If you're playing it on Switch, be sure to save often because it's prone to crashing.
Did you guys bought the physical copy
@lov.2.g I bought the physical copy of Nintendo's Bioshock Remastered. At the time, I was new to Nintendo, and I didn't know any better. If you buy the physical copy you're bound to use it, and that means you can't play it on the Switch Lite without ejecting it out of your regular Switch first. I learned that it's better to use only digital on Switch.
@@bradabar2012 actually i bought it for save keeping even when i know there isnt a full game inside....unlike witcher 3 which has 32 gb of game in the cart with maps postcard booklet and a thank you note ( best physical copy for switch hence down)
Bioshock mobile ! Is the reason why I’m making Bioshock on Minecraft … just because I love the idea of an “open world” rapture with both games included and getting to explore it endless possibilities

I'd be happy to pay for Bioshock 1+2 again, just to be able to carry Rapture around with me on my phone, lol! I'd gladly pay $30 for each game.
I think current phones could handle running bioshock 1 & 2. And a fair price for 13+ year old re-released games is $9.99 but I'd rather play them on PS or Switch.
A cool idea would to bring bio shocks multiplayer to mobile instead of the whole game. It would be hard to make all the functions work on a normal sized iPhone, but I could see bioshock 2s multiplayer working because it’s much smaller and more simple. Just rebrand it to bioshock mobile and they could have something

This game really taught me the lesson that mobile games wont last forever... But it was insane just how little time mobile lasted before breaking.
Honestly i think a good idea would be a management game where you try to build both a underwater city rapture style and a floating island like columbia. We try to stop the citys from destroying each other while making political and philosophical decisions like frostpunk.
Also i think just shoving the games on mobile would do much more harm than good, not only the graphics would need to be toned down, fps gameplay on phone is terrible, specially with how dynamic and fast bioshock combat is, you wont kill a big daddy while moving like elizabeth after the lobotomy.
In my opinion, the best option would be a new game made from the ground up for mobil. First person shooters don't translate well to phones, and you would lose a lot of the emersion that makes the games so good. Plus, with Netflix making the movie, it could easily be one of their games that's included with the subscription. Just imagine a bioshock take on something like fallout shelter, or protector triles in the gameplay style of vampire surviver. The options are limitless, and I would love a fresh perspective on the world of bioshock.

I mean, if the original bioshock had its source code released there'd 100% be a high quality source port for mobile made now, and It probably would run pretty damn well. I mean, after all there IS a purely fan made source port of Half Life 2 (and Episode 1 & 2, along with Counter strike Source, Day of Defeat source AND Half Life Source) using leaked code that runs amazingly well, over 60fps and on all high on pretty mid ranged phones ALL made by one guy. So no doubt bioshock would run and run well and play well with the right people on the team
Although I don't know about the bioshock "remaster", sure I think it could run but probably not as well as the original 2007 version, and I do think the 2007 version would be the best go-to when it comes to porting to mobile purely from an optimization and file size standpoint.
also Hitman: Blood Money was recently given a full port to mobile under the title "hitman: Blood Money Reprisal" which actually adds features from newer hitman games back to the original blood money which I think is really cool, and it plays amazingly well too!
There is definitely still a massive market for pc games (new and old) on mobile, Doesn't matter if they're official or not, there will always be an audience for them!

After, yeah I think release 1 first. Then 2, and then infinite. Would give them time for development too. And with how many people have newer, capable phones now, I think it would sell well if they did a good job and took the time in development. $30 I feel is good and what I'd pay to have one of my fav games as a backup on my phone if life gets boring
It'd be fun, but I'm not sure if they'd want to reallocate resources for it.

The closest thing of a mobile Bioshock game that I’m aware of, is Bioshock for Nintendo switch. Maybe worth looking into
I would definately buy this on my zfold 5 , I want Bioshock 1 and 2 , not so much Infinite though but if it comes anyways. More power to the people who wants it .
Honestly I think putting console/pc games on mobile isn't really a good idea because the only reason you would play it on your phone is if you are away from your computer/console, and if you are away from home you'd probably would rather be scrolling through social media than playing a full-fledged narrative game. Quibi had this issue too, they assumed that there was a market for TV shows that you could watch in bite-sized episodes on your phone while you're on the train or waiting in line for coffee, but again they didn't realize that most people would rather browse twitter, instagram, or tiktok whilst in public.

Your last mobile video titled “Can Bioshock mobile be successful in 2020-2021?” was released Oct 12, 2020 And since then theirs a couple points since then on if a Bioshock game could successfully come to mobile
1)Apples M1 iPad released May 2021 and has an 8gb Ram/8GB CPU at 3.2GHZ and 8GBGPU. Along with Apples newly released Sep 2023 iPhone 15 pro having an 6 core CPU, at 3.87GHZ, 6core GPU capable of up to 2.147TFLOPS and 8GB LPDDR5 ram, both these devices are clearly capable of running a ps3 leveled Bioshock as many ps3 games are on iOS and similarly internalized Android such as Grid Autosport and Alien Isolation. These two platforms are a far cry from the 1GB devices in 2014 when Bioshock mobile debuted
2)In terms of built in non removable storage, the M1 iPad can go up to 2TB max and the iPhone 15 pro can go to max 1TB so likely similar storage in android means both iOS and Android shouldn’t have trouble with a full storage Bioshock
3)The Nintendo Switch only has 4gb memory and so cannot run modern PS5 games as those games require at min 8GB memory to play looking at the PC requirements and storage of the PS5 era consoles. While the switch can play many ps3/ps4 games, playing any 8gb game such as Resident Evil 8 or Resident Evil 4 Remake simply isn’t possible without them streaming from the cloud or via remote play, whereas both RE4R and RE8 are natively on iPhone 15 pro/M1 iPad with upcoming IOS ports of Assassins Creed Mirage and Death Standing TBR in 2024
4)IOS and Android have both had compatible gaming controllers and keyboard support for their triple A or mobile games for years now meaning you don’t just need to use the touchscreen to play anymore so Bioshock can come to mobile with either controller/Keyboard support
5)Many triple A console games on mobile are initially starting at $15-30 now to combat the 30% Apple and Android take for purchase on their storefronts as you can’t expect a big Triple A game like RE8 or Village costing 45 and $80 for the game/DLC to come to mobile for cheap to turn a profit as they need to pay devs
In conclusion, Apple had to pay for RE8 and the other Triple A games I mentioned to come to iOS as many mobile players Hardly pay for any Triple A game that cost more than $15 so my guess is that Many AAA games of that RE caliber such as any of the Bioshock games won’t likely come to mobile as Apple or Android won’t pay to port them to their platforms. And if Apple or Android do pay for these big AAA games on mobile then it’s few and far between as basic gotcha mobile games are according to the internet, more profitable and cheap to make
Still, Mobile don’t need daily Triple A games to survive as they aren’t solely a gaming console used only for games and are more similar to PC in versatility

It would do well if it’s advertised. And it would be like an investment just gaining purchases over time. The old gta games seemed to do well on phones so why not this.
