So, I did a little bit of research on this british 'aid' to India. And here's the details that nobody is going to tell you. 1. the primary reason british provided aids were because they are a signatory member of some UN treaty that they signed back in the 1970s, which mandates them to provide .8% of their GDP to the developing countries...funfact: they never met that target, they were running on close to 0.5% at most 2. India did receive the lion's share of UK's aid(~20%) for a long time up until 2011, we can guess those were primarily because India was the only developing nations that brits saw that their aid is going to have some positive results in tarms of bipartisan relationship in trades (and also and I am assuming here- out of the colonial era guilt and their tendency to act as a superior being to everybody), 3. 2011 was the year when Indian govt specifically mentioned to the UK govt that they don't need the aid anymore, and it is when their aid began to come down as a result, but it was until 2015 when they finally stopped giving aid to the Indian govt. 4. from 2015 onwards, the aids are primarily some sort of investments, kind of like what softbank does, so out of that 2.3 B of aid between 2015-21, 1B were given to different infrastructure bonds, banks, bank bonds etc to see some sort of return of investment, another 700m were given to different NGOs(and we all know these are either to run propaganda, assert influence or sometimes even spying, but again this is my assumption) and 400m were to govt affiliated organizations. So, there you go. Even the british watchdogs know these aids are nothing but peanuts for India and India actually runs its own foreign aid program which actually provides more aids to the world than it receives.
You are amazing and thank you so much for exposing these criminals from history. If they read it, this planet has no place for them to hide... Including the moon.😂😂😂
It is not the majority of British people who believe that India should return the aid. Such remarks have been made by a few ignorant individuals in the past, but they do not represent the views of most British people. Some of these people are simply ignorant of the facts, while others are motivated by political opportunism. They portray the UK government as taking care of other countries while its own people suffer, but this is a false and misleading narrative. The UK government has a long history of providing aid to India, and this is seen as a gesture of friendship and solidarity. India is a valued ally and partner of the UK, and the two countries share a deep historical and cultural connection. The UK government has also been clear that it does not expect India to repay the aid. It is unfortunate that some people are seeking to spread hate and division by making these false claims. The vast majority of British people have a positive view of India and its people, and they are committed to maintaining strong relations between the two countries.

In response to Sophie Corcoran's question about why current British taxpayers should not pay for the restoration of India due to British colonization, isn't it true that modern-day Britons indirectly benefit from the wealth acquired through past exploitation? The wealth that the British looted in the past was used to develop the UK in various ways, allowing today's generation to enjoy its advantages, isn't it? By the way, congrats for the success of Chandrayaan mission
We don't know who got benefitted how much. By that logic Indians are also enjoying the roads and buildings and bridges and ports the British built. Kolkata was not even a city before. You can never drag old historic financial loss and gain. Because we dont know who lost and who gained and how much.
@@rairadio7119 oh those roads that were built using the taxes collected from Indians at that time which are not even standing now. BTW, all the gems and artefacts stolen from colonial India are still in London Museum ( ironically getting stolen again by insider information, cos they aren't catalogued- exactly what a thief does, they don't keep records of their loot).
@@rairadio7119yeah just like what the above comments pointed out, British wasn't making those roads out of their own pocket or out of goodwill, first it was to establish their own business infrastructure, which would be their own investment not aid. But if you are really pointing that out. Calculate the net profit that the roads, ports and Railway created by British had during their say in India. Subtract that from the amount looted. Pretty sure it would still be significant amount that would be owed to us.
'Britain calls it Aid as it's embarrassing to call it Investment for itself' Britain requires a colonial handle not to be embarrassed, yet show the world it's helping a poverty ridden country.

Thanks to the british moderator for giving such a moment. 😊Every year there is a need for debates like this which give Indians an opportunity to insult Britain at will, which gives peace to the minds of Indians like me to forget the pain of partition.

I applied the same approach as used in the 45 trillion calculation to the investment done by British before 1850s. The estimate of 200 million pounds sterling as the total investment in infrastructure by the British government in India up to the mid-19th century is based on various historical records and estimates. It's worth noting that there is some degree of uncertainty around this figure due to a lack of comprehensive records from the period. That being said, one source that provides an estimate of the British investment in India's infrastructure is the book "The Economic History of India, 1857-1947" by Tirthankar Roy. According to the book, the British invested around 200 million pounds sterling in Indian infrastructure up to the mid-19th century, including the construction of roads, canals, and railways. Another source that supports this estimate is a report by the Indian government's Planning Commission, titled "India's Five Year Plans: An Overview". The report mentions that the British invested around 200 million pounds sterling in India's infrastructure up to the mid-19th century.Using A= 0.2 billion pound, n = once per year (conservative!) and 0.05 interest (as per the India calculation and t=223 years Putting into Microsoft Excel (other spreadsheets are available) tells me that: 10622.914 billion i.e 10 trillion sterling was invested in India which can be converted to dollar by multiplying with 4.68 as done by Patnaik which shows that British invested 46 trillion dollars in India. Now you might have understood how Patnaik lied about it. The way Patnaik calculated it is through a false method.
I was not aware Britain gave India anything, but consider it interest payments on the $10 Trillion they owe us, and rental costs for the Kohinoor and the Crown Jewels.
Also the lives lost did they compensate for Bengal famine, Ajnala and Jallianwala massacre ?? They forced Indian soldiers to fight world war , did they compensate for the lives lost or pensuon paid to their family ?? White looters

It's neither. It's their investment. They get profit from it.
The report mentions that the British invested around 200 million pounds sterling in India's infrastructure up to the mid-19th century.Using
A= 0.2 billion pound, n = once per year (conservative!) and 0.05 interest (as per the India calculation and t=223 years
Putting into Microsoft Excel (other spreadsheets are available) tells me that:
10622.914 billion i.e 10 trillion sterling was invested in India which can be converted to dollar by multiplying with 4.68 as done by Patnaik which shows that British invested 46 trillion dollars in India. Now you might have understood how Patnaik lied about it. The way Patnaik calculated it is through a false method.

@@NM-ie4th absolutely! Irony or sad part is that germans are more into Sanskrit than us Indians. My Sanskrit teacher was saddened when Sanskrit was made optional and removed from my convent school. He shared with me the plight of sanskrit back home.
No think you. They had taken too much aid already. They have money to start wars all over.
excellent response by this man!
@@hectoroftroy2470 as the man said , india declared that it needs no country's aid way back in 2010 or so. this aid is nothing but investment , and it is mutually beneficial. the UK is also gaining. also , 2.3 billion pounds is nothing compared to the amount of wealth stolen by the british from india ( $45trillion+) and the cost of millions of lives of indians taken by the british during the colonial period.
Stop calling it Aid...its an Investment 😢
Fantastic reply !
I like the way this Anchor conducted the stage. She is so very intelligent and civilized. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼!
For how long they will repeat the same old claim. Just read the report from Independent Commission for Aid Impact. UK AID is basically an attempt to get on New Delhi’s good side.
It's alright, they are just burning in jealousy. I don't think we have to worry about the UK too much, they are just not that important.
Right
Uk media thanks ..
Hello, this is not aid. It's a completely wrong terminology .This is a payback inn installment to compensate massive loot they have done previously
loot worth 45 trillion dollars...
This aid is intended for two- way traffic .Jealousy gets these people no where !
And hate too is self destructive!

She kept ranting yet she was told the money is not for Gvt aid but the British lady seem not to know how that money is meant for , Thanks Sushant for explaining what that money is for.
If Indian comes knocking on your door to return the 43 trillion dollar loot from where will UK cough up that. The luxurious lives UK people live is because of the loot and robbery you have done. Instead you should be indebt to us for your luxurious lives. Even Uk museums proudly display the loot of India.
Read and heard many times. " If British media is attacking India, it means they are jealous, India is successful and doing things right"
As a Chinese I can only smile at these comments and thinking of Palki Wion. 😃
Did she speak about Britain poverty Victorian times ????
The dynamics between the UK and India can sometimes evoke sentiments of jealousy, fostering a narrative where the UK finds itself unable to escape the clutches of envy. This emotional interplay may lead to a cascade of sorrowful echoes, as the UK grapples with emotions that continue to reverberate.
India, a perennial epitome of greatness, stands poised on the cusp of becoming a superpower in the near future. In our customary fashion, we shall radiate love, sow the seeds of peace, and orchestrate symphonies of harmony across the world. The essence of India lies in its wisdom, knowing only the path of sagacity, not that of imprudence. My beloved India, an unchanging beacon of magnificence, commands our admiration. A reverential salute to both India and the indomitable ISRO.
The aid from British can be substracted from the loot they did from India. Balance must be as a credit to our account. EMI can be drawn to get it back to India
These kids need to be taught actual history so that they don't talk shit
She is no more british than other brown people she is a joose hence her dislike for brown man's power.
😂😂😂 I can’t believe it 😂😂😂
good reply uncleji
Keep going India; dispite someone trying to kock the rounds of your ladder as you progress upwards. Congrats! This feat benefits the world. You are accumulating scientific data in the south pole of the moon; bringing mystery to light. Can't wait!❤ New York
Putting sophie live and roasting her was the best thing i have seen today.
What about 45 Trillion. We never forgot about our money.
With interest for centuries
@@SP-cd6ve It will take Thousands of years to pay back this amount of money. UK is built on a looted money(now the looted money is over😂😂) and now they lecturing us what India should. How they have this kind of Confidence. Uk k acche din aa rahe hai😂😂🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
I think the British ladyreally put her point forward well. The issue is calling it Aid. This is long term strategic goal to improve bilateral relations. Sadly many people are just ignorant of the fact.
I don't know much What about the kooh i noor which now costs 20 billion us dollars
Looters talking about aid is hilarious 😂
My msg to our people be united, labour hard and stay calm. All the success will touch our feet and these haters and colonial mindset will suffer a lot. Jai Hind 🇮🇳 🙏
Its ok ,we should be gracious in all situations,we can express our emotions but in a gentle manner
Brits do not deserve any . Looters and plunderers should not get any

Woow! You rock!
Salute to former PM Dr Manmohan Singhji for denying any foreign aid.
Salute to Modi for making India to Bharat and Rice bag people realising their roots are Indian not white.
Super Shivani & Sushant ❤️......What a slap on the face of LOOTERS😂
So,aid is given to Congress and stopped when Modiji came to power.
Ridiculous comment ? What has congress have to do with this ?
पुरी बात सुना लेकीन समझा नहीं
There are many news that many scientist lost their life to secret agents during congress era. It is heard that our beloved scientist Homi Jahangir Bhabha wrote TO PM office abt his wish to manufacture Atom bomb. The message went to USA and then his plane crashed...
MONEY IS NOT GIVEN TO GOVERNMENT OF INDIA , MONEY IS SUPPLIED THROUGH NGOs for converting hindus of tribal areas
@@RajDas-ob4mp nah not rediculous. modi stopped 20000 ngos just after coming to power . those were involved in conversion and funding left lobby
awesome Roast
Need to ask them the list of people who recieved the aid
just look at her expressions😂 She seems very angry and arrogant.
So Britishers seems to call investment and foreign funding to NGO’s for illegal means, “AID” in their language😂
Guess their economy is performing so bad that they are now even forgetting their own language. They need to learn English from scratch and this time from, India.
If forgotten Indians will teach them English
Lol
Time to "civilise" them for the next 200 years bois
UK is jealous that she could not colonise the moon😮😂😢😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Super comments by the anchor
Give back ours money first. We will give back your aid money and donate you some money too Britishers.
