I am up to 31 (update 33) Merch by Amazon sales this month, not a lot but my best month to date. Tier 500.. half designs filled, adding more every day.

Have you ever done Etsy? Would like your opinion on them.
Yes but it was not as passive of a POD that I wanted it to be with my 9-5 so I stopped. It just took up way too much time for me.
Etsy does not provide customer service for you, so you would be responsible for providing customer service with your customers. It can be very time consuming for you if you still have a 9 to 5 job.
Great job with sales, Juna! I also appreciate you keeping it honest with what you do to make these kinds of monthly sales. So many gimmicky channels out there that are not telling the truth about what it really takes to be successful with POD. I do wonder how much more money you would make if you posted more designs from your Shopify store and ran FB ads or Pinterest ads for them? I get the sense that you don't have time to create pins to post on Pinterest or to blog about your designs to help drive traffic to your shop. Would you consider trying that next year for your Design With Detour challenge? Also, you're almost to 150k subs. So amazing!! 🎉❤💕

Very inspiring sharing real numbers and how long it took you to get to this point! On average, how much time do you spend on Amazon merch alone? I assume you do this full time?
I still have a 9-5 but I probably put 10hr + a week on it.
Another great video Juna. If someone was going to start a POD business today, what sites should they focus selling on in your opinion?
To start I would pick TeePublic. Focus one and get good at it.

Not yet but that’s a great topic. I think everyday can be different. Think of the top 3 tasks that would make the most difference in your business and do those that day.

Sometimes…. but you may have a better chance of a sale when you design for the audience of the specific POD site.

Some people do really well in the UK....it's usually those from the UK... but I guess if you know that market better you would do better there

Excellent and honest information, sadly my conclusion is that only Merch in amazon worths the POD model, unfortunatly have been rejected there 4 times, maybe because my country is not US...
The others work ....but Amazon works the best for me.

Hello Juna thank you for your content! Can you make a video on the new amazon ad rule .. the one about if you want to use amazon ads for amazon merch you have to start adding mockups to the designs advertising to get more conversions and impressions

Your design kind of has to stand out.... it's more about being an Artist... you will need to have your own creative style

Very true. I would start with free if you don’t have any money. Like Canva FREE and then get the graphic app that would help you the most next.
Can we use Leonardo ai and other ai tools like copilot images for print on demand.... Is it available for commercial use
Some are. Usually you have to have a paid version. I believe Leonardo is still free. Check Terms of service.
Do you duplicate listings across platforms or do you create unique designs for each platform?
For my Design with Detour I am duplicating but to get better results you should design for the audience for the specific POD site. Each one is a little different.

I don’t remember exactly but I would guess just a few sales a month at first.

What do you use for research? Why do you avoid Etsy?
I mainly use BSRs for research. Sometimes I use PrettyMerch and Merch Informer for Amazon. For the other PODs I just do research on the site. I don't do Etsy because it's not as passive as I need it to be to work it with my 9-5.

Well yes. Tax will be different depending where you live so I did not put that in. I like to save 30% for taxes.

Try again. It’s honestly like winning the lottery. They kind of randomly pick sellers. I’m sure you are doing everything right. You can try applying at different times of the month.

TeePublic decides.... they look at your designs and see if they match what they and their audience are looking for. Good designs matter.

Mainly the traffic. Amazon has really good organic traffic. Other places don’t, which require more time spent on getting traffic or paying for traffic

I wish I knew. It’s sort of random. No one really knows how they pick who they pick. I believe they kind of just pick the first 50 or so each month but that’s just a guess.
