If folks can afford to spend in the region of £70 per yard of distance gained, all power to their elbow. The AI Smoke looks great but not affordable for me as it stands. Thanks for the review, Hannah.
They are going the same distance, the standard deviation overlapping so you spending dollars for just a new toy, which is totally fine that people do whatever they like with their money, but there is no measurable performance difference
If you notice on her stats her attack angle is .1 with smoke and -2.3 with paradym. Both bad for a driver BUT -2.3 is all the difference in distance.

I’m a senior 72 y/o mid handicapper. Have played Ping drivers (G425/G430) for several years. Ping is great but always felt they were too heavy. My last Callaway driver was the original Epic (lime green) back around 2018. I usually play a baby fade but recently started hitting too far right. Decided to add lead tape to the Ping head to straighten my ball flight. It worked but the head felt even heavier. Went in and bought a AI Smoke Max D (kept my Ping G430) and WOW it is amazing! I cannot slice it. Balls are going straight or turning over slightly to the left. Finding middle of the fairways and pretty long too. Very happy with my purchase and decision to go with the D model.
I upgraded and it made a huge difference for me

Great review Hannah...always watch yours as I swing a similar speed and not at 110 like all the other reviewers. People need to remember that AI Smoke s not aimed at Paradym users necessarily. If I'd bought a Paradym i wouldnt be looking at this one bit if I had a Mavrick or Epic Flash then it would be worth it for the off centre hit improvement. Fairways soon?

You were swinging Paradym 2mph faster on average, yet got the same ball speed and more yards with Smoke. Pretty cool!

I would try hit both and see which you prefer! It will come down to personal preference and what you want to be better!

Cripes, shocked by some of the negative comments here. If you don’t think the reviews are fair & impartial, you don’t have to watch them! The point is, this driver was better FOR HANNAH. If you don’t have similar ball speed, launch & spin, it might be no better or even worse for you . . . but, if you do, then this might suit you better than last year’s model. And Hannah made the point that it helped with the areas she needed to tweak repeatedly in the video. So great , thorough review - thanks Hannah. 😊

It’s basically the same driver… I just wish all the RUclipsrs would leave an honest review. “We were given this club to promote it. It’s basically the same, and if you have a 10 year old driver you might want to upgrade… if your driver is 3-5… what’s the point.” 😂
If you watch my videos frequently, you will see me say this often. I upgrade because I can. Realistically I would upgrade every 4/5 years if I didn't work in equipment testing.
So why do you come to watch then.

Why does the graphic at 11:04 swap the red and the blue color coding from the top part to the bottom? It took me a while to figure it out because the top half says the old driver is longer.
Good spot! I think it is because it is a combination of two different screenshots from trackman and it doesn't always keep the colours consistent! Sorry for the confusion

I preferred your ball flight when you hit the TM Qi10. Which do you prefer, the Callaway or the TM??
It will be a great club to buy next year used at a discount.
What shaft (model, setting, flex) did you use with both drivers?
10.5° head set to -1, N on the hosel. Hzrdus Silver 60gm Stiff shaft!
Until the manufacturers settle on ONE shaft attachment point, I’m not switching drivers if I can’t use my TM shaft on a different driver head or a Callaway or Titleist on a TM shaft.
You can get a multi-adaptor added. I don't think brands will ever align as they don't sell heads and shafts separately.

Does the extra 5-7 yards actually justify the expense of a new driver? Probably to some it will.
I’m not consistent enough off the tee to justify the cost, plus, I would need to then reevaluate all my iron distances, 😂
It will vary from player to player! There is also the forgiveness, not just the distance.
@@hannahholdenNCG on any fitting I now have, not much chance of any significant distance gains, I look more at dispersion, for consistency
@@hannahholdenNCG Preach! forgiveness is so much more important. A lot of amateurs wouldn't drop shots playing without a driver with how easy they can be mishit and encourage lost balls off the tee. long term average distance is what us amateurs need to focus on, not the longest downhill, down wind drive we caught in the middle that one time..

I’m a bit confused. You said your spin came down and you gained 7 yards, but looking at the table at 11.10 it seems the opposite? The club head speed is up, ball speed is up, it spin is also up and carry is 3.5 yards less? And 2 yards less overall. Am I reading this wrong? If those numbers are correct I’m not sure of the justification to change but happy to be wrong. Enjoyed the video though 😊
The data is a tad confusing as the colours at the top and bottom don't match due to exporting from trackman at different times. The blue data at the bottom is the AI SMoke Max
As long as people keep wasting $500 for basically the same driver every year these companies will continue scamming the consumers.

the manufacturers are not chasing people to update every year, they just need regular releases so there is always a 'new' club available when someone decides to update their bag. Why is this so hard for people to understand? Personally I'm looking to update a G400 LST this year, 6 years of development will no doubt show improvement and my current driver now owes me nothing. Your negative attitude is damaging for those around you.

If a manufacturer of Golf Clubs wanted to dominate the market, especially with the Driver, then if they priced these at £250 each, everyone would get one. But, manufacturers are greedy. hence the price tag, Great review though Hannah.
I have been in the facilities where these drivers are designed and made. They spend and incredible amount of money on research and development. Some of the machinery costs millions of pounds alone. Obviously, they need to make a profit but I don't think it is all about greed from what I have seen.

That’s why I love my Ping clubs…I know that a new golf clubs will not be coming out for two years…if you can afford buying new every year…good for you, but to me it makes no sense because if your game doesn’t improve…why waste money on new clubs…spend that money on some golf lessons…

Better off getting the right shaft
The right shaft relative to head. Each head has a different loft and CG and weighting so launch and spin changes. You need the right shaft relative to this and your swing.
The “super computer” they used on the paradym can’t have been so super.
Callaway said it was the best ever, it obviously wasn’t.

It was their best ever at that time, would you rather they just stopped making drivers? With tech there is always things that can get better over time

This whole “buy yourself longer” bubble is going to burst when they roll back the performance of the ball. Who is going to buy a new driver to hit it shorter than they did 5 years ago ? Given the potential loss of sales revenue I think we’re in for quite a battle between ruling bodies and manufacturers
Might work the other way in terms of sales revenue - if all drivers are going to be shorter in distance then possibly people might think 'Do you know what, I'm going to buy the longest of the new 'shorter' drivers' to keep them driving at their current distances.
Spend your money on lessons. Your welcome… The big companies are just fleecing customers year in year out… Unfortunately it’s supply and demand, there are too many people who want the newest product so it looks great in the bag.. Not for me, the game is expensive enough.
Isn't it the same with a lot of things now. Cycling equipment and cars are hugely expensive yet they still do exactly the same things
why not both? the manufacturers are not fleecing anyone, no one has a gun to their head to buy a product yet globally raw materials continue to rise year on year. Should they cut their prices and go out of business? 10 years ago companies were 'fleecing' based on 10 years before that. Its called inflation.

Unfortunately all RUclipsrs have become shills for the brands. Impossible to believe that you will consistently get 7yds more over many many more shots.
I'm not a shill to anything, Callaway don't pay me for reviews; I can say what I want. I simply showed what happened in this sample of shots. I don't think big brands would be spending millions on research and development for stuff to not get better. As you can see from the numbers it is marginal but over a 5 year buying cycle it isn't.
Buy the new Kirkland driver for $199.00 and save your money

I love your content Hannah but this club is no better or it's even worse (because of your review...carried 245) than the Wilson DynaPWR Carbon Driver. So I'm struggling to see you promote a driver that's worse than a 1 year old driver. You can argue about consistency, but consistency is about the player, not the clubs. I now know what golf influencers are all about. 100% no hate Hannah, your content is really good. But this proves to me how the game of golf is broken and influencers have created a monster.
You're comparing reviews done on different days in very different temperatures. Later in the year I will hit them all at the same and do a proper head-to-head but that is not what this video is about
you seem to be jumping to some pretty big conclusions there pal, there's no way anything of the sort has been 'proved'...'proved to you' however feels very much the same as 'you decided and will now present your opinion as fact'.
