dude your vids are real gold. Im soo glad I found you. This is sick. And the best part is you get straight to the point and you realy give quality information. Kepp it pleaaase up!!!
This was so helpful! Thank you. Curious if you'll have videos that show how one note can connect with other Microsoft programs like Microsoft TODO etc.
Evernote is improving week by week these days. Cost is raised as an issue, but for me works out at about one coffee per week. Given how much I use it, easily worth the price
Fair point, alongside the breakdown of the cost. While it was the driving factor for me it wasn’t the cost of the app itself but rather due to the fact that I had a free decent attentive available for me which was OneNote, as it’s part of the office applications. Believe it or not I’m currently in the process of testing out the obsidian application and seeing whether that works for me any better, as something that I would value going forward, is having more control of the notes themselves. I found the value of this when trying to export from Evernote to OneNote as the only way to get out of Evernote is via exports and often being in a propriety format. But yes it worked well for me for many years but I thought it was a good point for me to move on
Go to view, then tabs layout and then click horizontal tabs. Not sure if I’m missing something here or whether you might be on a different version of OneNote?
As a student I would it very much use it in a structured manner so I would have a single notebook and then the tabs at the top for different modules and then having the notes within each of the respective tabs. Though, since then I have been looking into other note taking applications admittedly and have since been using obsidian quite a bit as I feel that it suits my workflow well.
Hi! To be honest I tried to import a couple of notebooks but then decided against it as the formatting would always be slightly off in certain areas (you’re never going to get it 100% obviously) so just decided to start a fresh account. I felt it was a good time to start new as I didn’t need need the notes (1000) and I could always login to Evernote to view them. I did backup my Evernote notes though in .enex format just in case. Hope that helps
I'm using the Dell XPS 15 9510. I've been using it for around 3 years and made a review on it here if your interested :) ruclips.net/video/j-g7ng-chqA/видео.html
Your comment came at the right time as I’m literally working on it in the background right now lol. I tried it a few months back and since then I’ve been moving and switching over to it, honestly it’s one of the best apps I’ve ever used. Might be a while out as it will be a long one but stay tuned
Thanks! And great to know this as it’s a bit tricky to gauge whether people would be put off with let’s say a 30-45 min video just based on the time alone but some topics just need the time and I wouldn’t want to out something out half baked. Don’t worry, it will be jam packed, with chapters and all that and in the same style as my other videos. Thanks for the comment :)
@Productive_Tech Thanks for replying and when a creator replies it gives us audience a adrenaline rush Nice seeing you collaborating with your subscribers. I like you because you focus on windows which is not at all focused in productivity space
Haha no worries at all, I appreciate the kind words :) I do try to reply to every comment I can - though the YT comment management system can be pretty terrible at times :/ Yeah this was something I noticed, a lot of Mac focused productivity/tips/tricks out there but not much for windows, so Yh really glad it’s useful to people 🙂

To be honest I never noticed that until now as I generally just use the basic fonts or the default one that is present. But Yh fair point, I could imagine this being annoying for other use cases. Do you use any particular alternative?
I would probably agree and say that yes notion is better as a general solution as it's more of an all in one productivity tool. But for my use case, I really just wanted something simple for taking notes, without all the integrations that I wouldn't need and for that OneNote works pretty well
Interesting, what would you recommend? It would great to know of any free apps that offer similar functionality to OneNote like you mention? It would be nice to try something new to see if I can improve my workflow
@@Productive_Tech Maybe you could try obsidian. It's free and you can use plugins and coding to make notes, that can even work as wiki. I don't know how comparable they are as I haven't worked with obsidian for long and looked up this video to learn if onenote is comparable.
Thanks for the comment! I have looked in detail at Obsidian in the past but I think I read that it's locally based only? (I might be wrong and there's likely a plugin to solve that but haven't really found the need to switch from OneNote yet). I also don't think I'd make too much use of the mind map web that it builds out over time but is definitely interesting. Thanks for the suggestion, at the very least it's back on my radar again to check out and maybe a video to document my experience but not sure yet.
@@TheAntrimRambler Apple notes is pretty decent though the only drawback is that it's best within the ecosystem only. Access on other devices is not always the best experience hence I use OneNote. If I had a mac I'd probably use that instead but that's not feasible for me currently.

Wow. This was great. Clear and straight to the point. Like a Gatling gun of great tips. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Haha lol XD, thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment!
Brilliant video. Ive been looking into switching to One Note for several days. Glad I found this video
You’re most welcome! Glad it was useful, and thank you for your comment! :)
Finally a good guide for OneNote. 👍🏻
Much appreciated and glad it was useful, thank you! :)
Wow, you just so organized that we can see it in the way you made the vid, the sections, the way u mention another vid
I appreciate the kind words, thank you for your comment! :)
Thank you.

You’re most welcome and thanks for the comment 🙂 I haven’t made anything specifically like that yet but I’ll consider it going forwards :)
Very nice video.
Thanks!

How did you get the pageflippers on topbin the black space?
Sorry can you mention the time code or be more specific, I’m a bit confused what you’re referring to :/

@Productive_TechThank. now i got it, had some problems with the different names in norwegian.
No worries, glad I could help 👍
how do you use it as a student? (I use digital note taking on onenote by using a pentablet )

@Productive_Tech ok 👌

Loving your videos and waiting for the obsidian video

I rarely use OneNote because it doesn't support Unicode fonts.
To be honest I never noticed that until now as I generally just use the basic fonts or the default one that is present. But Yh fair point, I could imagine this being annoying for other use cases. Do you use any particular alternative?
OneNote would be great if they implemented Code Blocks... It's 2024
To be honest I don’t do too much coding myself but I have heard other people mention a similar thing
most of the above points does not work on macOS.
Yes this video is focused on the windows version as seen at 0:18, hopefully there should be a couple of things that are still relevant though
Isnt notion better

1. Don't use it
2. Dual boot install Ubuntu
3. Use a better free app that can do all the one note can and even run code

Best tip is to forget about it and move to notion.
Interesting, have you used OneNote before? What made you switch to Notion? I’d be willing to try something new if it works better for me, thanks
WAY to fast and to much information at one time.
Propietary format? No thank you.
I’ve recently been looking for an alternative for this very reason, what do you suggest/use? I’m currently testing out obsidian
The worst note taking app in existence
Interesting, what app do you prefer to use?
@@Productive_Tech Apple Notes.
