This was so helpful! Thank you. Curious if you'll have videos that show how one note can connect with other Microsoft programs like Microsoft TODO etc.
wintoys does lots of things from this
Will probably feature wintoys in a separate video 👍
Great video once again! Auto draw is an amazing website which I always get amazed by. I started using News minimalist and I somewhat like it thx 😊
Ah thanks for the comment and kind words! Good to hear new minimalist was useful :D
People who are not using Firefox based browsers instantly lose my respect
The PDF app is really appreciated
No worries, glad I was able to help :)
nice quick video. will keep using sharex as it has almost everything including ocr
Thanks! Hopefully the video should of given insight into other tools but yh shareX is a pretty decent all rounder 👍
What your laptop look nice
It's the XPS 15 9510, I have a full review here if you're interested :) ruclips.net/video/j-g7ng-chqA/видео.html
Everything/Flow launcher = Powertoys Run <3 Intel Unison = (Windows) Phone Link or Pushbullet <3 File explorer tweaks = Total Commander <3 Sumatra PDF (+ plugin for total commander) > MS Edge - features read aloud mode and easy (but limited) design customization
VLC is great BUT the reason I dumped it was because it misses one key feature - the ability to start and stop the player by clicking the mouse inside the player screen!!! All online video software has this feature. Why not VLC? Have they changed VLC to make it possible?
I can't disagree there. I think it's something to do with it being based off some old technology from what I read and since then no one has really updated the code... There are ways to get it through plugins and extensions. Personally, I'm not too familiar with them but as you can imagine the pause to click is fairly popular. I'll leave a github page linked where you can download the plugin from and instructions for installation. For windows, I think the only technical bit is that you have to place the extracted files in a certain folder path, but that is listed in the instructions. Hope that helps! github.com/nurupo/vlc-pause-click-plugin
@Productive_Tech Great, thanks! Love your video👍.
@@acreguy3156 No worries :)
Arc browser is a big NO NO
If I could change one part of this video it would be this. For those on windows the Zen browser is the better choice. I have recently been testing Arc and Zen and Zen is the clear winner and hopefully should be able to have a video on both of these browsers some time soon.
Bro I Think You Missed Wintoys
Couldn't fit everything on but yh I should hope to feature it in a future video 👍
you make great videos bud subbed!
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words and thanks for subscribing 🙂
The unnatural RUclipsr fast speaking without breaks thing is outdated and annoying. Please stop doing it. It makes your video unwatchable.

Not that long ago you could use VLC player to play videos on line and press the record button to save a copy to your hard drive but have now put a stop to it
Yh there have been changes to VLC over the years and my aim was to make an updated guide / tips / tricks video
@Productive_Tech Been using VLC player since my Windows XP days and still enjoy getting Santa's hat every Xmas lol
@sydsaturn3337 XD I would have to agree there. It's a super cool touch and would be amazing if other app developers did similar. Or even branch out with things throughout the year without overdoing it.
Those are really good drawings! Did you draw them yourself?
Thanks! I was mainly trying to incorporate different types of shots into the videos. Yep, though some inspiration was taken from various sources online, I drew them myself on the paper :)
how are you so so so underrated
Ah thanks a ton, I appreciate that XD
is intel unison better than phone link or quick share? does it work on AMD cpus?
I probably should of mentioned that while it does have some good features it is intel only. If you want some other alternatives, I would consider checking out the KDE connect application or if you want something that is purely for file transfer you should consider checking out the "localsend" application. Both are open source as well as an added bonus
Absolutely loved (almost) all of them! Thank you.
Great to hear it, thanks for the comment! :D
I loved the bit where the gaps between his sentences were all deleted creating a stress-inducing flow of unnatural speech with no gaps or breathing.
^ This.
I never got a pin, May you pin my messsage?
Alright then
@Productive_Tech Thank You!
3:58 beautiful, I always found it difficult to find desktop wallpaper, I could only find some nice ones on davinart
You're welcome! And yes now that you mention it I probably should of included Deviantart in the list. Though, this could also lead into a wallpaper websites video at some point... 🤔
Doesthedogdie is good one bro Would be useful ngl
Great to hear it man, and good to see your comment once again - your support means a lot :)
Thank you
No worries. Thanks for watching! :D

Can you tell websites like titanica encyclopaedia but offers vast topics or any topic
To be honest this could be a video in itself the more I look into it as there are some seriously cool websites out there that fit this criteria I would say. Some of the other ones that I have been looking into is www.britannica.com, www.howstuffworks.com and www.worldatlas.com. Again there are likely many others out there that offer more specifics but hopefully that should be a good start :D
First view❤
Thanks, I appreciate the support! 😁
1st 😅
XD thank you! :)
The best "easter egg" in VLC is the icon changing at christmas from a normal traffic cone into one wearing a santa hat.
Yep, definitely a nice touch 👍
It never ceases to surprise me that most people don't explore their software more. Don't they want to see what it can do??
Yep, I would agree, it's always good to explore and see if there are other useful hidden features that can make your life easier :D
Just a terrific video. Thank you so much for doing this for all of us video folks.
Really appreciate your kind words, thank you for your comment! :)
I have two monitors, one is set horizontal and the the other vertical. Is there a way that when playing a video it automatically plays on the monitor with the video orientation?
If you go to tool preferences and then to the video tab. You will have a few options. The first one you might want to adjust is the output and specifically the output screen that you want VLC to play on. You should be able to select the specific monitor. A bit below that you'll find the force aspect ratio and if you input the aspect ratio of your monitor vertical or horizontal and then apply those settings, I think that should help solve some of the issue. Hope that helps! :)
@Productive_Tech Unfortunatelly it didn't work. Ifound this information: While there isn't a built-in feature in most operating systems to automatically play a video on the monitor that best matches its orientation, you can achieve a similar effect using third-party applications or by manually adjusting the display settings depending on the video you're playing: Potential solutions: Video player software with custom display options: Check your video player settings: Many video players like VLC Media Player or MPC-HC allow you to choose which monitor to play on and may even have options to automatically adjust the display based on the video's aspect ratio. Third-party video players with advanced features: Some dedicated video players may have features like "aspect ratio matching" or "auto-fit to monitor" that could help achieve your desired functionality. Operating system display settings: Windows Display Settings: While not perfect, you can manually switch the primary monitor to the one that best matches the video orientation before playing, ensuring the video opens on the correct screen. Monitor specific settings: Some monitors may have built-in display settings that allow you to automatically adjust the video output based on the aspect ratio, check your monitor's manual for this option. Important considerations: Video aspect ratio: Even with the right settings, some videos may not perfectly fit the screen on the vertical monitor due to their inherent aspect ratio. Application compatibility: Not all applications may support custom display options, so you may need to experiment to find the best solution for your specific needs.
Ah ok, bit of a shame but thanks for sharing 🙂
Manic presentation, slow down a bit.
Sorry about that, noted for next time, please do slow it down in the yt player if that helps
imo, powertoys run is much better
Fair enough, though I did cover the best tweaks in power toys already in a separate dedicated video. If you want to check that out I'll leave it linked :) ruclips.net/video/5820jdSZAc0/видео.html
You can change the playback speed in RUclips by clicking on the gear icon, and then select playback speed. That way you can watch this video without going crazy trying to catch the points being made. You are welcome.
VLC is great If only it could have a user-friendly GUI...
Completely agree there, though I would recommend you check out the "screen box" application from the Microsoft Store which is built upon VLC with a far more modern design and UI. I'll leave it linked below if you want to check it out :) apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NTSNMSVCB5L?hl=en-us&gl=GB&ocid=pdpshare
I used it to cover videos, especially webm to m4v mp4
Interesting thanks for sharing your use case :)
You missed the Subtitle downloader, VLSub
Yh I didn't want to get too complex with the load of addons but this is something that I could consider for the future maybe... Thanks for the suggestion and the comment.
The principal secret is impossibility to play 360°mkv files and more 30 less 10 buttons, will be a good feature. ;) PS : When we do less well than Microsoft, we bury our heads in the sand.
Interesting...
That's a brilliant channel you have, a lot of useful videos, thanks for your work ♥️
Thank you so much for the kind words it means a lot! 🙂
When I pause a video VLC, I can advance frame by frame by pressing E
Yep, definitely a useful one that I think I missed out, though I do wish that there was a way to go one frame backwards as well
@Productive_Tech Would Ctrl+E do that? Sort of like Ctrl+Z to undo an action?
@@acreguy3156 Ctrl-E brings up the panel for Adjustments and Effects. Going backwards would be difficult if the video had key-frames. When a frame passes a key frame, it would have to go back to the previous key frame, and rebuild all of the frames, otherwise you'd just get the differences in that frame rendering. It's a way of compressing the video file. Each frame only save the difference from the previous frame. The key frames contain an entire image. If there are no key frames, you'd have to go back to the start, and build the frames to the current frame you want to return to. If the video was an hour long, that would take a long time if the frame you wanted was 50 minutes in.
Really, appreciate that super detailed insight and understanding the reason for not easily implementing the previous frame ability
COOL! THANKS! Watching from the Philippines. I have had VLC downloaded on all of my computers for years but didn't know much of this.
No worries! Happy to see the video was useful for you :) - I'm still new to YT so it still blows my mind that people gain value from my videos halfway around the world haha :D Thanks for the comment - greetings from the UK
You can stream with vlc on twitch or yt if you want 😂
Thanks for that info XD
When I was downloading mkv movies a few years ago, VLC updated and then was no longer able to play the movies. I eventually got them to play by either 1. Reverting to an earlier version of VLC, or 2. Processing the movie through HandBrake (which took hours but the processed movie would play though the updated VLC). Anyone else have a similar experience?
Spot on video, thanks.
Thank you 🙂
Stumbled upon this video by accident. It is really excellent, thank you very much for these tips. I wonder if VLC player can cut and merge video segments?
Thanks for the kind words and really happy to hear that it was useful. :D Doing a quick search online it seems that it isn't really possible to do this. I mean there might be a complicated way of doing it but yh it's probably best to look at other software for cutting and merging clips.
@ I see. Thanks for looking into this and providing me with a quick reply
No worries at all :)
Use MPC instead. Its also free. Faster buff. No loading when fast forward You ll thank me later
Thanks for the suggestion, will have to check it out
The infuriating thing about VLC Media Player is that, although you can set Effects (such as increased audio volume), when you Convert & Save, it totally disregards your Effects. So near, and yet so far.
I don't really use that feature all too much personally so wasn't aware of that. Interesting to know though so thanks for the comment
Record your player with effects?
I hate vlc UI. So i use pot player
Yh that's fair the UI is a bit outdated, thought it looks like I might need to create a pot player video at some point it seems from the number of comments.
