@Michael Lochlann What's interesting though is that even Dan Swanö says Heritage is just Opeth without distortion. Their influences and overall sound aren't that different in many ways. I would say newer stuff is more influenced by traditional prog, sure, but also Turkish music and fusion more than anything.
Saxophone is honestly a severely underrated and underutilized instrument in modern metal. I know there are a few recent tracks out but I really think we need more
Always amazed. Can never express or communicate in any way how these compositions impact my existence and the world of music. Hail Haunted Shores, Hail Periphery. Thank you!!!
I love the complex chords in this song as well as the amount of arpeggiation used in the riffs. Guitars really do sound best when the focus is on the picking hand. Fade-to-LoFi at the end is also a beautiful touch, and makes the inspiration for this music quite clear. Hope we can buy a tab book soon!
I don’t know what to say other than this is amazing. The ending 😂🤣. Reminds me of an older video when you guys were saying fans thought you weren’t culty enough.
Always amazed at the capacity of thought of those who know how to mind their own business. This level of dedication is certainly scarce. God forbid we spread our own message. Naw mean? 🤙
Epic! One of my friends just referred me to this band today and I am loving all the tracks so far.. ofc I am familiar with Misha and Periphery but did not realize he has another band which is great. Serious Opeth influence on this one which is my all time favorite band, also love The Drapery falls specifically, which I covered with a band long time back, also LOVE the low-fi part in the end.. seems like I found myself a new favorite band here!
Jesus Christ that ending was f-ing hilarious 🤣 😂 Thank you for that! Hail Stan! 😅 Oh yeah and the musical composition was absolutely beautiful. 😜 You guys never cease to amaze man. Kudos and Brava!
Wow. With no expectations going in; upon listening, this elicited the kind of excitement and wonder that I used to feel from the Bulb days, but on an even higher level. Outstanding.
brings back Opeth memories, you know what i mean, Opeth melodies got signature, i could almost taste, a mixture between cold winters, despair, and hope in the horizon.
Also please do a physical release of this album! I love the mad playing but what I find ends up lingering the most is the melancholic atmospheres you guys are able to create in songs like this and Norway José. Don't usually have synesthesia but I get some form with your chord progressions.
Getting some real Blackwater Park vibes from this one ♥️
Alternate Song Title: Blackwater Mark
Holy shit I was just thinking that then scrolled to your comment!!:)
Bro was scrolling to see if anybody else thought this too!
as if opeth went back to their metal roots
Hahaha dude all of us are scrolling to see if anyone commented this yet.
HA not alone I see lmao
Ahh, This scratches the itch for old opeth.
@Michael Lochlann have you listened to Next of Kin on Opeths latest record?

Old opeth is and will always be the best, heaviest, intelligently written and just straight fuckin killer metal 🎸🦉🤟
My arms your hearse ❤
Ting,Ting,TiTing,Ting,Ting !
Misha and mark are becoming one being full of djent , anger , and suave hair 😂🙌🏻
its covid hair. ive also been consumed by my noggin threads.
Saxophone is honestly a severely underrated and underutilized instrument in modern metal. I know there are a few recent tracks out but I really think we need more
It's fucking epic
Rivers of Nihil "Where owls know my name"
@@OnShouldersOfGiants not enough. We need more
Misha looks way cooler with the long hair. Never realized how much I like sax over metal.
If you are interested in hearing more metal with Sax check out the band "shrezzers" ! Great band 👌
I'd also suggest Rivers of Nihil. The void from which no sound escapes is perfection
Thanks for the suggestions, will check them out.
The Mars Volta's The Bedlam in Goliath, not exactly metal but a very wild, loud album.
and also TRAM which features Tosin and Javier from AAL
These guys have the most unbelievably gorgeous instruments.
I was just commenting to myself how fakkin CLEAN that Jackson looks
oh mate you haven’t seen his orange jackson, it a beaut 🤌🏽🤌🏽
Always amazed. Can never express or communicate in any way how these compositions impact my existence and the world of music. Hail Haunted Shores, Hail Periphery. Thank you!!!
and most importantly, hail stan.
@@jakegriffiths2k hail stan
@@MishaMansoor love the playthrough man, evil as hell. Cannot wait for the new haunted shores and p5, its gonna be a good year!

@@polpottopg I already do sir, would you like to experience it? 😈

I love when Misha powers up into his Hail Stan form. All the color dies and blastbeats never stop. It's Brutality personified 😂😂😂😂😂
Ive not seen many complimenting the edit of this video. Its so well done!
0:01-1:27 = Opeth - Drapery Falls/ Wreath
Ok, that's the first time I heard sax in a metal tune, and damn that was off the hook! Loved it!
Have you heard violin in metal before? If not do yourself a favor and check out
Ne Obliviscaris.
Tesseract has some sax 🎷 in there album altered state
So does the faceless
If ya like sax and metal now lol some good tunes
Rivers of nihil: where owls know my name.... Killer album front to back
I can still never get over the sax solo (also played by jorgen munkeby) at the end of graves by caligua's horse
Loved this album, specially this song!
I've been in and around the death metal scene for 32 years and this dude is 100% legit. Take that torch and run with it young badass.
He’s almost 40
Love the smooth saxophone followed by the Pentagrams and pure shreds.. Perfect
This intro is so beautiful
I get some Opeth vibes from this one... Love it!
So awesome!!! Like always when Misha is involved. The rhythm guitar under the sax solo might be my favorite part. 👿
I don’t know what to say other than this is amazing. The ending 😂🤣. Reminds me of an older video when you guys were saying fans thought you weren’t culty enough.
This whole album's gonna be ultra epic
ughhh those guitars look sooo good! and the visuals look incredible.
Tonight on Bottom Gear Misher Mansir gets in the Chevy Tahoe and absolutely floors it into a cop car.
This is his apology letter to the local force.
Sax belongs in metal.
oi hammond
bit schtewpid innit
Got Opeth Blackwater vibes from this, but when the sax kicked in and things chilled out, massive Vangelis Blade Runner vibes
Always amazed at the capacity of thought of those who know how to mind their own business. This level of dedication is certainly scarce. God forbid we spread our own message. Naw mean? 🤙
That sax solo fits just perfectly😱💯

I can't resist. If I see Misha or Mark playing something, I push the like button.
LoL. The Stars of David instead of the Pentagrams at the end. Hilarious.
I wasn't really digging that sax solo until 4:15 that's a beautiful transition and section
its def very nice of a transition. almost ethereal.
This is beyond sick
Damn that axe is so epic. Sweet playthrough bro!!!
hail stan
I have no words! Absolutely love it!!
love the guitars, so cool to see the changes from one guitar to the next.
In another timeline when Opeth meets modern Metal
Misha really took the Black Metal Genre to a whole new level. Loved the tritons though!
🔥😈🔥😈🔥😈🔥
Grande Misha!!
misha - soundin great and lookin great my dude
Haha! Love the ending, buddy!
Jesus Christ that ending was f-ing hilarious 🤣 😂 Thank you for that! Hail Stan! 😅
Oh yeah and the musical composition was absolutely beautiful. 😜 You guys never cease to amaze man. Kudos and Brava!
So beautiful
Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
Drapery falls/black water park vibes for sure! Love the nod love this shit and basically all ur guys stuff! Keep killing!
Man, Misha really knows how to put out face tingling tones.
I love the flavour of the chord variations. Also, Jørgen Munkeby!!!A smooth sax solo in Death metal!!!
Great pre-2002 Opeth influence on this track. Nice revisit after 20 years. If something is not broken, you shouldn't change it right?
God tier
Such an awesome riff.
Beautiful guitar.
very nice job on your corpse paint, i enjoyed
This one I really enjoyed :) Thank you Misha!
Misha is lookin good these days, the Homcomb-esque hair and the beard really suit him.
Misha has changed his picking style :o
4:49 Dude thanks for the nightmares in advance, that scared the crap out of me I'm not gonna lie
Fack yeah dude. 🤘Misha & Mrak never cease to amaze. 🤌 Love the ending 😜
Wow. With no expectations going in; upon listening, this elicited the kind of excitement and wonder that I used to feel from the Bulb days, but on an even higher level. Outstanding.
Dude mad creative, love the dissonance.
He Finally Grew His Hair Out!!!!! Miss It Short But I Like This.
Love This Track And Playthrough.
Clearly the best from haunted shores . The sax solo is pure genius .
brings back Opeth memories, you know what i mean, Opeth melodies got signature, i could almost taste, a mixture between cold winters, despair, and hope in the horizon.
this is amazing
That transition at 4:59 really spoke to me
Misha meets Rivers of Nihil.
Amazing track, dude!
SAVAGE. This is so sick
I looking forward to your new album
the upside down star of david cracked me up, well done! :D
So good
A lot has happened in that 5:51 that I will definitely need to revisit a few more times
Sick fucking riffs. Heavy, technical and atmospheric
🔥as always
Soooo Extol +O peth BWP, nice work guys!
Misha continues to both inspire me and makes me question my abilities as a guitarist lol.
mishablackmerl is now the stuff of legends
I hereby submit that Misha grew his hair out just for that outro.
If they still called songs Hits , you’d be the brown John wick of Djent 🙏🤘🙌
I had chills Imagining Gareth Mason's (Slice the Cake) vocals on this track
Sooooooo satisfying for all ours senses
Gimme your natural gifts ya bastards hahaha complete recording every idea and thrust it upon us haha love it all 😁🤘❤❤❤
Music to skydive / weave through crowds to.
This has some serious Deliverance / Wreath by Opeth vibes
That sax solo was totally unexpected..
a full load of deafhaven on that track-love it!
TY! 👋
that sax is amazing
the corpse paint! Love it! haha
Nice Misha and Mark
Dude the hair. A+
fucking lost it when the sax solo came in BAHAHAHAH it's actually so sick
This shit gives me goosebumps. Awesome job guys! 👿
I didn't even know HS was coming out with new music. Crazy. I'm guessing this is the opeth inspired song.
man i love the usa signature it looks incredible
Yes Jørgen is back baby from his amazing performance on Blast Inc.
I think Misha greatly re-developed himself as a musician through Haunted shores.
Also please do a physical release of this album!

Check out a band called Dopamine they have songs full of stuff like this
nice one!
BRUTAL
The Lo-Fi Black Metal at the end got me rolling so hard! \m/
My best blackened djent metal band
This song just opened a portal🤯
