David supports the local economy in all the countries he's been by paying for locally made goods and crafts and the food he eats. I'm sure the young gentleman was paid off camera. I'd like to believe that to make it to 1mil subs needs hard work, humility, respect for others and dedication among other things and David has displayed all that.
Thank you so much Mashariki. I am sad to read some of the negative comments here but I always support local business and I absolutely do pay for the food I eat. Sadly 90% of the footage never makes it across the editing board cutting room and so there is a lot of stuff that isn't shown. Thank you and have a great weekend.
This was another beautiful video ...the markets ....with livestock...kebabs ..nice foods and the generous shop owner wh gave the real honey...and I like how you always try to get gifts for your family.....alsothe carpet shop owner ...very friendly too ...All in all just awesome ...really enjoyed viewing , As always thanks David and Tasos...safe journeys.
As always thank you so much for the support Shabana and Hailey!!! Hope your weekend is going amazingly. Always so grateful that you enjoy my videos and for all the love and support. THANK YOU!!
Hope you had a great time in Kurdistan ♥️ You must know about Kurdish honey that it has been awarded several times as the best honey in the world. That's why it is so expensive. The honey grows High in the mountains and is very hard to get.
Going through the comments makes me laugh so god damn hard. I am just completely blown away at how people just jump to conclusions without any facts. Its fascinating. The video is half an hour long, and there are 24 hours in a day... Great contant David, and please do your best to ignore these fools.
Yeay you bought rugs from Ali (in min 35), as I bought myself 3 pieces from him in September 2022! They are all beautiful. You did a great job to help the locals, buying the locally made crafts! Welldone and you gonna love it all your life
They are the butt of every Iraqi joke, kinda like the polish of Iraq lol, they are called Kurdies, by the whole country, And after seeing the logistics of this city, I totally understand why they do.
david, thank you so much for this. you allowed me to see my city Baghdad. the city that i havent seen in so many years. cannot thank you enough for that.
I did pay him but it wasn't put into the video, there is a lot of cutting that goes on in the final editing process and 90% of the footage doesn't make it to the final video. I always pay and support local business.
all are nice however the honey vendor is by far so lovely so delicious with all his variety..there is such hardwork goes on in keeping and loving bees for they help the High King keep all his plants fed and growing for all to eat..so much respect..much love..one love..
For those who comment about him not paying the money or supporting the local economy I believe it’s out of respect not showing the paying process since some people would consider it humiliating at least I know few Iraqis would think like that so I always assume that David paid or at least tried his best to pay
On the continued use of CD's, its smart of the people to do that. With CD's, you never have to worry about internet connection, or paying a Spotify bill. I myself am involved in a music scene that relies on CDs
Next time add some fresh parsley in your kebab sandwich too. Its so good. And the yogurt tastes better if you add cold water and thin it out. Very refreshing to drink.
Looks like busy market there! Feed for animals and all those chickens. Have to feed them good wholesome grains. REally busy market. Now for some food! night life is best. Roasted corn that is a must yummyy. Kebabs oh yes love love them. I like to eat outside watch everyone do their thing while eating nice food.. Eating outside makes food somehow taste better lol.I will take all sweets one bite each lol . Yum. Heaven right there lol. Dried fruit though is best. Makes great snacks for hiking and everyday snacking. Omg eating r ight from the cone of the honey is best ever!! My uncles had bees . Honey comb is best!! Love you pick out gifts to give to your family and friends as well as yourself. Just imagine when you get older the stories you tell of your travels. And when your daughters are old enough you can build even more memories to tell to.. God Bless ♥

Everything is paid for and planned. Nothing was free trust me on that. However, that said MrSlowskie, I want to take one second to thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me for so many years. I think you might be the oldest supporting subscriber that I've seen in awhile and I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and the years of support you've shown to my channel. 11 years! WOW. Thank you brother. Wishing you a great New Year and once again thank you for everything MrSlowskie.
destinations where you visit look more attractive in your videos than they actually are I dont know how but might be you are introducing them in a fantastic way .. well done David 👏
hi David, i know I'm a year off, a bit late but yes, for the honey i can vouch for that in our region u can find the purest honey that you've ever seen and the prices are fair he did not want to scam you or look like a scammer its why he insisted to not charge you in the beginning but the translator tried to give him a bit, but yeah the prices were fair.
I did pay for it and sadly not every moment is put onto the final Episode. I have very limited time per episode but I always support local business and I absolutely pay for everything.
This is just so sad. Kurdistan wasn't like this. I can barely see any Kurds anymore. This is what happens when the government is corrupt. There's trash everywhere now. A lot of non-Kurds selling stuff, not speaking the Kurdish language. It's just sad.
I did pay. You have to understand that not every moment is captured on camera and 90% of the footage is edited in the final video. I 100% support local business and I absolutely paid although its not shown in the video here.
Visit Slemani/Sulaymaniyah in Iraqi Kurdistan if you want to visit a city with a strong Kurdish culture and identity. Erbil is a very mixed city nowadays and has been overrun by tourists from outside of Kurdistan, so the vibe and culture there is not Kurdish at all. Probably half the people you filmed in this video were no ethnic Kurds. The same is going in Slemani, but at a slower pace.
I noticed how you didn’t acknowledge anyone in the comments who mentioned Kurdistan. So you went there and ate for free and got stuff for free but can’t acknowledge not 1 person who said “welcome to Kurdistan”, “love from Kurdistan” in the comments. Purposely ignoring those comments. Very strange
I used to enjoy watching your videos but your lack of manners is truly distasteful. I don't understand how you constantly ask vendors to sample their food without paying. It would have cost you mere pennies to purchase but to that vendor, it their livelihood. Most of these vendors are too kind to tell you no, as they should!
Except I did pay for it. Not every moment is put into the final episode as I have limited time to fit in everything. I wouldn't ever expect the people who watch my videos to care so much about that particular moment. I always support local business and pay for everything. 90% of the footage doesn't even make it into the final episode. I'm sorry you feel otherwise.
He did not pay for the honey. He even wrote in his bio that he did t pay for the honey. Very tacky of him to go there as a white man and just eat and accept things for free from hardworking poor people.
😔 Lets be fair, to even say I'm speaking "Arabic" is a big stretch. LOL. This was my first time in Kurdistan and I learned a lot since then. I think it is fairly and accurately stated in the title of this video. That said have a great weekend either way Colb.
The food was paid for off camera and I think you are making a lot of unfair assumptions about what happened. 90% of the footage does not make the final video and so you simply did not see it. That said I respect your right to feel the way you do but I respectfully disagree with your conclusion.
Jafar ... Slow down, let your guests enjoy the food first. With your hands all over the place show a little more respect and courtesy, you act like like you've never seen or ate iraqi food before.
