Arriving Into Kurdistan In Style!

- We've arrived in Iraqi Kurdistan in true style!
We took a minivan from Baghdad to Slemani and then jumped straight into a taxi headed to our "luxury" accommodation.
So it turned out we were visiting Slemani over the holidays and every hotel was either sold out or super expensive.
All hope was lost until I contacted Shah from the dolphin hostel and asked if we could stay with him, he told us if we got ourselves a tent we could camp on the hotel rooftop so that is exactly what we bloody did!
In the evening we headed back out onto the streets of Sulaymaniyah in search of some local street food, we ended up eating a pretty good chickpea soup as well as some more shawarma sandwiches.
Massive thanks to Shah for giving us the best camping experience of our lives ahah, top man.
Very much looking forward to this trip through Iraqi Kurdistan.

@@EllisWR You should also make your way to Shanidar cave, which is after shaqlawa and before barzan ( which is also lovely) its been trending recently as there was a netflix documentary about it where they found and reconstructed the skull of an Neanderthal woman
Welcome back again..The summit of Mount halkurd is considered one of the highest mountain peaks in Iraq, according to an altitude of 3607 m above ground level. In the province of Erbil, waterfalls and the view of the sunset from the mountains resemble the natural Switzerland .. And there are many beautiful natural places..And I would like to tell you that your videos that you post on the RUclips platform send me joy and I wish the video would last for hours, but it will be tiring for you, but I hope the video will reach three hours or two
We Kurds are a nation of 70 million people oppressed by the surrounding countries. We seek as recognition for who we are in the lens that we live on thank you my brother for recognising Kurdistan and not attaching any oppression to its name.
