Just pure classics
Home Alone 2 is an excellent example of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".. Also, Marv has the best scream in cinema history 😆
This is essentially the exact same movie as the first, with a skyline. "If it ain't broke don't fix it" and it's totally fine. The pigeon lady basically plays the mysterious scary stranger as old man Marley. The TalkBoy didn't even exist until this, then every kid wanted one for Christmas and it went into production. Tim Curry is such an amazing talent. And Marv's skeleton is comedic perfection. I only wish this was the last we heard of Trump. This is when the series ends for me. Without Macaulay it's just about the money.

Even though it's passed Christmas I'm glad that you went ahead and watched this sequel.
I love both of the first two "Home Alone" movies. But I love this one the most because of Tim Curry and Rob Schneider being in it. And being in a new location Kevin gets more creative with the traps for Harry and Marv.

The two Home Alone movies are just fantastic, basically the same and 2 does it more !!! Shenanigans and Christmas spirit, what more do you need !!
His little brother, Kieran Culkin, just won a Golden Globe for his role in Succession. Best Male Actor in a TV Drama Series. He has definitely come into his own since these movies.
Another pair of movies that star Billy Crystal but Daniel Stern plays a friend are the City Slicker movies, both are fantastic comedies. I always thought to myself that Kevin tried to intentionally get lost again after the fit by his dad over the bill.

The old black and white movies Kevin watches were made specifically for home alone 1&2 Angels with filthy souls and Angles with even filthier souls lol

Did no-one but Kevin's parents set an alarm? Everyone else was relying on the parents to make sure they were up in time.
Nobody got up to use the bathroom and check the time or anything lol.
That $963 Kevin spent in '92 would be equivalent to about $2100 USD today. And he was only there 1-2 nights lol.

The 2nd film is basically the first plot all over again and yet it never gets old. I've lost count how many times I've seen both 1 and 2.
I might like this one better than the original, both are great films. Watch them every Christmas 🎄🎄

I just realized thatwhen the family gets to the hotel, they never mention Kevin was with someone who pulled a tommy gun on them? lol
that tape recorder was a real things kids could buy
the next few Home Alones are a completely other family unrelated to this but I think all Christmas ones.
I came to the conclusion that the reason no one steps in to help kevin is to display the new yorker mindset of minding ones own business.
All these stunts are tropes from Loony Toons. 90's was all about turning cartoon tropes into live action - Home Alone and Addams Family were notorious for it.
I would say in the first movie it was less Kevin's fault then in this movie,
cause buzz is the reason he spills the milk and they trash his plane ticket,
While in this one kevin did lose track of his dad
This is an awesome movie that can be watched during the winter months not just during Christmas
New York City is Amazing! Would love to visit at Christmastime though.
If you want to see what happened to Kevin McCallister years later, you should react to the RUclips Mini series Dryvrs. Cullkin reprises his role of Kevin McCallister, it's like 20 years later, he's got trauma and problems and it's hilarious. Cullkin is only in episode 1, 4 and 5 I think? But it's a nice little conclusion.

A funny airline story I have is. My family and I were in baggage check and at the time you had to take laptops out separately and scan them separately. Anyways I had bought a dvd in the shop to watch on the ride home and I got the laptop out on the plane and put in the family password and it had told me it was incorrect. I correctly put in the password so I was like what gives. While during the baggage screening the person directly in front of us had the exact same laptop and they had gotten switched around. Some how my brother managed to hack into the computer and found the owner’s information. Super crazy! He lived in Maine while we lived in Colorado. We ended up shipping each others laptops back. Super weird odds

Technically its the 90s but the $967 was for 2 days of room service alone, not for the room and all the other stuff. Lol
burbank airport has a bag check outside in front today, for southwest anyway. my wife and I use it many times because it faster. most people go inside so its longer in there.
Fuller being alone in the king sized bed at the end is my favorite callback to the first movie.
Kevin Mcalister is also like Green Arrow or Anarky since you said his traps are like Batman's gadgets.
Also the guy is so invested in kevin cause hes played by tim curry tim curry usually plays mean characters other then nigel thornberrry
According to imdb the guy who plays uncle frank ad libbed the whole shower scene in this movie even the nosy pervert line

This was pre 9/11 so airport security was way more lax then today, and to be fair they did want him to locate a family member first even if they didn't have him directly identify him, and remember this was 1992 so the room service bill would be far higher today, I think another reactor quoted it at around 2 grand by todays standards

These guys have nine lives, I swear! In real life, they would’ve died so easily. There are easily 10-15 different times these traps would’ve killed them, but that’s also part of the humor of the movie 😅
I fell on my knee 2 weeks ago and I'm hobbling around from that still. I can't imagine all the impacts and falls these guys have had lol. And I'm pretty sure these bandits are still at least 10 years older than I am.
Just looked it up, Harry's actor, Pesci, was about 50, Marv's was about 35 at the time this came out. I'm only 30 lol.

The $900+ was just on room service lol. It's a good movie but basically a remake of the first.
Keep in mind bro these movies are not set today they're set like in the time frame they came out so I believe this one is 1991 cuz the first one was 1990 but I'll check no home alone 2 lost in New York came out in 1992
Here's the thing about Trump being in this movie he was a fan of the first one and heard the sequel was to be filmed in New York and they needed a place to film at a hotel they had some hotel scenes they needed to film and he volunteered his hotel as tribute the only payment he requested was to have a cameo in the movie and guess what they did as soon as it went to streaming I do believe all the physical home video stuff has it like a VHS and DVD but anything on streaming they cut the scene of him and left all the stuff they got for free for having that scene
I watched it on Hulu recently and he's still there. Unfortunately.
So, adjusting for inflation, the $967.43 bill at the end would be $2,091.30 as of December 2023 - which would definitely be a chunk of change. And I'd be a little incredulous that even Kevin could run up that kind of food bill by himself within just, what, two days? Because that does seem to just be for food and not staying at the hotel.
And _yet,_ for staying in New York and in the grand scheme of considering that Kevin's dad has paid for taking not just his own family, but extended family on a group trip that required everyone to fly, _two years in a row,_ and looking at the size of their house....This guy has to be loaded. Yeah, he's probably not going to be thrilled at a $2,000+ bill just for food. _I_ wouldn't, but I'd most be trying to figure out just.... _how??_
I think i prefer this one mainly bc of Tim Curry...aka "the creep.". Here's good at being creepy, considering he played the original Pennywise in IT. And some folks find his part in Rocky Horror Picture Show to be a bit creepy on a totally different sense 🙃. Brilliant actor.

1. GOOF: There are far more beads on the ground than what Kevin drops pulls off the neckless.
2. Very first brick Kevin dropped on Marv would have killed him.
3, Given the evaporative nature of kerosene, the volatility would be so low, the rope would barely light, if at all.
2. They went WOKEwood and recent versions eliminated the Donnald Trump scene.
4. My honey Ally Sheedy😍😋 is the NY information lady.
5. "Angles with even filthier souls" is not a real movie.
6. Mr. Duncan/Eddie Bracken also played Roy Wally in "Vacation"
7. This was funny but, Kevin being mean was a little turnoff.
This was good. Home alone 3-4 sucked. Remember that movie I kept suggesting you to react. It’s about the origin of Dracula, But it’s a survival gothic gory roller coaster. I know you like twilight. That’s my favorite franchise too.

Donald Trump‘s cameo was the only best part of this movie. Other than that this movie sucked. All it was was just a Holly Jolly rehash.
