    Wait, there's people who dislike the HD soundtrack? I'm so confused... it's the most faithful improvement of that sort I've ever heard.

    I still wish we had a playable bangaa character. I hate that most notable reptile characters in games are portrayed as bad guys.

      It is honestly a shame, actually- that they made a main series final fantasy in the ivalice world, and they didn't take more advantage of the races of ivalice. I think there's only a single nu'mou in the entire game too. I'd have loved to have a moogle mascot character in the team, and a bangaa as well. I hope we'll one day get more stuff in the world of Ivalice, it's got such great lore going on.

    • @shangaiify
      @shangaiify 7 лет назад +6

      This is actually the first game in the Ivalice world I believe, FFT games takes place hundreds of years later.
      Still, when this game came out, I thought we would get a Bangaa as a playable character and when I saw Ba'Gamnan for the first time, I was thinking that he would join much later on in the game...
      Such a shame it's not the case because he's more detailed than any other of his race in this game.

    • @stevelor
      @stevelor 7 лет назад +3

      There are actually quite a few nu'mou characters in the game. I don't actually remember their names, but theirs one in the Clan Centurio, a few (I believe) at Mt. Bur Omisace, the one who initiates the Medallion quest, and the Piscadaemon/Mind Flayer were originally nu'mou people. I'm sure there were more. Other than that it would've been nice to have other races as party members besides Fran, who as we all knew was a viera. It would've been nice if they expanded on the Rev race as there were only three featured in the entire game with all three being related to the Marquis.

    • @SylemGistoe
      @SylemGistoe 7 лет назад +3

      Steve Lor ah yes, i just recently got to Mount Bur-Omisace in my new playthrough, i had forgotten Nu'Mou were there. I didn't even know what the Marquis' attendants were called- rev, huh? Anyway, yeah, it would be nice to have an expanded amount of visibility for the rest of the non-hume races of ivalice. I'm jonesing hardcore for more ivalice, i wish I could get another tactics with a story that has writing like FFT, but the game balance, jobs, and races of FFTA.

    In original PS2 version, there is chest in Barheim Passage, which has little chance to drop Mage Habit, which grant you 18 defence, making yourself hard to kill for this bounty hunter. (This help me to defeat them with only one hero).

    When I played this on the PS2, Ba’Gamnan was too strong for you at this point in the game (unless you spent hours overlevelling yourself before this point) so we all just ran. Now I’m back here listening to the chase music after spending hours and hours in FF XIV’s Delubrum Reginae (Savage) where it is now used as one of the main boss battle themes loooool

      It's actually not that hard to beat this fight if you you've unlocked at least 1 quickening per party. They don't have anything to steal so all you are really doing is hitting them with a nuke first to whittle them down before focusing them down. Once down to 2-3 members, they are nowhere near as formidable since you can outpace the damage. The Zodiac age actually makes it easier because the smaller grids mean easier access to the respective licenses that you want in addition to insuring that you don't have to pick and choose your grid position. That being said, in the past, you could literally just pop an Ether and go again.

    I just did this fight in the original version. It was really hard but doable.
    I spent all potions except 1 hi-potion, a couple ethers, a couple phoenix downs, a remedy to cure silence. Then some water motes for nuking one target + a couple other motes. I literally threw every item I had into the fight. Using dark-spell with fran was essential for heavy AoE dmg untill only Bag'ammon was left. In the end I defeated Bag'ammon with Fran dead and the guys barely hanging in there. Nervewrecking but fun fight :D
    Ohh and I had spent no extra time to lvl up, just straight storymode+doing the first 4 hunts.

    • @Xeptar
      @Xeptar 6 лет назад

      ThePokemonfan1993 - It was kinda better that way with MP since you could cheese with Elixirs for MP for a bar to start another chain, but then again, it was cheap so I guess I'm okay with it being limited to fill with time (or actually with steps taken like MP)
      Devs must have seen its flaw.

    • @coolguy02536
      @coolguy02536 6 лет назад +2

      Uh, you can refill mist bars with elixirs too, or anything that restores mp. And they fill when you deal/take damage supposedly, not over time.

    • @atheist101
      @atheist101 5 лет назад

      They did it so you could have character builds that didn't rely on xp and still use the quickening. I'm the original it sucked when you had a knight that has low mp do to his class and can only get off a few then have to waste things like eithers

    They are easy to beat, if u have two watera notes or four water notes just use it when all of them are in range (the easy way to do this is by staying in the tunnels and fight them in the narrow there), because they are weak to water, then the rest just attack them till they are defeated. Dont forget to clear the famous skeleton brigde and chain it untill u have 99 skeleton bones (by doing this u will level up a lot as well as gaining quite amount of lp, then u also have the help from lamont being an OP guest because of her high attack, high evade, high mp, high magic, can use cura, can use shades of black), do all those and bagaman and his gang is easy to beat. But the threat really just bagaman himself.

  • @taroupriapus9760
    @taroupriapus9760 Год назад +1

    I love to level up on the undead skeletons on the bridge, chaining skeletons more than 200 chains for exp money and loot. It's easy to fight bagamnan siblings, I steal and kill them one by one with bagamnan being the last (the steal are only inferior items though)

    guys can i ask something newb question before i was trying to do a challenge 122333 that was PS2 ver. before do you think it would work on zodiac age oh btw i dont have this game yet so its ok to spoil to me thank you it would be great if you reply to me

    • @Rottypops
      @Rottypops 5 лет назад

      The Zodiac version is arguably easier in my experience...
      In the PS2 version, by this point, your already have important buffs that all characters can use... And if you know the boys is coming, you can buff up and go ham. But it's very likely you wouldn't have quickenings for 1 or all characters, and Quickenings can only be done with full MP... So good fucking luck.
      In the Zodiac Version, your characters could easily have 1-2 Quickenings by this point, as well as enough LP to have unlock some License Boards that the PS2 version would consider mid-end game like several HP and attack boosters. You might not have a dedicated Green Mage, but with high HP and a sleight of Quickenings you can use without MP penalty, you can easily fell half the Ba'gamnam party as soon as the battle starts.
      I beat the Boss battle on both versions, and honestly I was scared going into the fight (HD Remaster) without Protect, Shell, Haste, and Water, with just Cure to aid me, but I felt like it was a much easier fight than PS2 just because full party of Quickenings did half the work.
      With the speed x4 multiplier and a solid Gambit setup, there's no real excuse of not wanting to LP Farm. You can do several passthroughs through the Estersand gaining minimal Exp per LP without overleveling yourself in just minutes that would take a few hours on PS2

    You need to focus on switching out characters instead of over-using Phoenix downs.

      Immediately after the fight I thought "I wonder if I can just switch out dead characters..."

      Boss Fight Database lol, yeah man. You need to grind a little more too it seems you were really struggling with the last couple of bosses.

      D3ityCthulhu you're not even supposed to fight this boss, you got to run away

    • @D3ityCthulhu
      @D3ityCthulhu 7 лет назад

      Nigel RPG I am well aware. But at that point in the game you should have little trouble beating them. it's actually easier defeating them than running away "in my opinion" regardless this is solid game play like usual!

      That's because the level up system wasn't fucked up that much. Battles in the newer FF games just sucks and also limitation with level up on FFXIII i believe. I hated it and i stopped playing. Old school RPG let or allow you to level up as much as you desire. Taking away that freedom they decide how you should play it. If i want a challenge i won't level up that much. But at least it's up to me

      Any Final Fantasy that let you "control" and "command" other party member than party leader is better than FF15.
      Oh, yeah no need DLC to play and control all of them. dis mas be a drem!

    • @PragmaticTornado
      @PragmaticTornado 6 лет назад +4

      Plays better for sure. No contest. XV has the worst combat system in any FF game, in my opinion. It's just not fun at all.
      I loooove the combat system in XII. It's so cool being able to "program" the AI to perfection. At least for fighting trash.
