The best thing I ever did was to install Linux Mint. I have been using it since Windows XP was no longer supported. Also I could use the 64 bit version on my ancient computer. I much prefer it to any Windows version.
Another awesome video...as usual! Thanks for taking the time and sharing this...it was quick, but I have been spending a lot of time over the past year learning Linux and the various open source software packages -- I converted a couple old Mac's into Linux computers -- and this just added more information to my tool box (a better understanding of the different software installation methods) that is truly helpful! Thanks again!
Sadly, I can only find an ARM version of Ubuntu instead of Mint to run virtualized on my M1 Mac. But even virtualized it's performance far exceeds Mint on an old iMac that is the only OS running on that computer and non-virtualized.
Greeting, Thank Very much for your tutorials, please, I am a new Linux user and I need to help me for install NanoCad, fonts, and what about anti-virus, are Linux needs it or not?
Good question. I've never used anti-virus with Linux Mint, and I've also never encountered a virus on a computer running a Linux OS. I think there are some options available, but I'm not familiar with them. Windows is a much more targeted OS for viruses and Linux.

I switched to Manjaro when Linux Mint dropped the KDE version. I was unhappy at the time, but it turned out to be very positive.
Can you please add the list of softwares you've installed in the video description?
Nice video! Thank you for the good work!

All apps through here or is it ok to do from the internet?
I prefer the packages over flatpaks. The reson is that I wasn't able to install plug-ins on flatpaks. Or, is there a way to do it?
Flatpack is the same that appimage?
@@solomonramsa no. Appimage is the entire app in one file. It doesn't need installation only run as a program command.
😊👍

Is there any prerequisite for Blender:
I just want to learn Blender
Thanks In advance :)
Blender can be installed on any modern distro of Linux or Windows or Mac. Probably others.
@@MultiCappie Thanks
But question is that any theory or any others software before blender?
@@sailendrachettri8521 Oh, I see. No, then. You don't need to study anything else before Blender, just start learning Blender.
@@MultiCappie okay thank you dude.
@@sailendrachettri8521 You're welcome!

What sort of anti-virus security do you have for this OS?

How do you open software manager from terminal?
Yes, 'mintinstall' will bring it up.
