On FB community page there was a lady asking for food. I packed all the food I had recently cooked and brought it to her. (I am a great cook everyone loves my cooking)she was so appreciative that made me feel good helping someone in need. Also, at the pharmacy, there was an older gentleman who forgot his glasses and needed help finding his type of aspirin. He asked if I could help him. So I did he was so thankful he almost cried. I think nowadays not many people are willing to help.

My teammates' wife is pregnant and having a rough time, so I offered to make lunch for their family this weekend. Turns out the morning of, they ended up in the emergency room with one of their daughters, and didn't get home until 1pm...so it was even more helpful than I even expected to have lunch prepared for the 5 of them.
My daughter and I are still going strong with 1 item a day to meet our goal of doing an act of kindness every day in May! It has been truly so rewarding.
Thank you for this today. My car needs me to just bite the bullet and get it done 😂.

@DianaKokku Watching your video now with the disclaimer of not being pregnant 🤣that wasn't my first thought🤩, you just looked especially pretty and its important to tell people that!! I went PRN from full time at my job about a year ago and got out of a very toxic environment. A few weeks after, I returned to that area to help them and one of my co-workers said That it really suited me and looked good on me, that she could tell I just looked happier. Happiness, stress, dread, kindness, it all effects us even if we dont immediately recognize it, others can see when our light is shining!!

I’ve donated groceries to our food bank. I do this a few times a year. We have some dog beds that out dog doesn’t use that we hope to get to the rescue centre too. But I want to tell you about my husband who has been his usual amazing self. He helps me all the time by taking burdens away where he can. Strangely even though I can’t wait to go on vacation, I hate the process of getting packed. (Mainly because I work really long days and get stressed ) So he gets the suitcase, puts his stuff next to it, finds everything else we need (chargers, sun cream, hats, etc) and puts it around the case and he puts my folded clothes ready too. All I have to do it decide what I want and put it in the case and he finishes it. It’s a huge weight of my brain and shoulders and I adore him for it. He gives back every single day, helping my parents helping our daughters and grandchildren or helping me. I truly hope it makes him feel good - I’m grateful for the wonderful man he is.

In Texas, our classic queso is a can of Rotel tomatoes and block of Velveeta. Even the fanciest of catered events in Dallas have Rotel Cheese Dip at them. I used to be a caterer in Dallas. I love helping people so I am thoroughly enjoying watching all the sweet things you have been doing for people in your community and family. Enjoy your block party! I’m going to make those yummy looking rice krispy smores!! 😍💕🙏🏻

This is such a freshing video Diana!!!! You have such a beautiful smile!!!! One thing I added on the calendar is babysit for a friend so her and her husband can have a date night. Im hoping to turn it into a once a month thing. Serving others blesses them but im feeling blessed just as much, if not more!!!!
Acts of service is my #1 LL. Especially after having children and feeling like I could never get chores caught up, then becoming a single mom and doing literally everything alone, and now at 56 my older husband having dementia but me still working full time, anything someone can do to make my list of to do’s less takes a load off the shoulders, feels like a big hug and a I see you! Gifts are also great but most especially when it again takes away a burden I’m carrying. Hoping this helps explain why AOS is huge to your husband.
Loving the neighbor get together y’all are doing, simple foods are key for sure! Hugs Diana you’re doing a great job!

Diana, would you mind sharing your neighborhood invite. We want to do this! We bought yard games and plan to invite the neighbors. We in the past: ask everyone to bring their own drink if they want something other than tea; lemonade or water; plus bring a snack to share. We supply the paper plates; cups, napkins (doesn't matter that they don't match - I use whatever I have). It's been lots of fun in the past, but this will be a new neighborhood for us as we just moved recently. Thanks! God bless you and yours.

My act of service is to encourage you to pursue your education. Are you still working on your Doctorate? Thank you for your joy and how secure you are in your ability to make fun of yourself, but with kindness. You are always willing to laugh at yourself, making it easier for the rest of us to take ourselves a little less seriously.

At our church, some of the Sunday School teachers give the kids a piece of candy. My Hubby works in the 1st - 3rd grade Boys & Girls Children's Church after Sunday School. He always comes home with candy that the kids share with him even though he tells them to keep it. It's so sweet. 😊

My hubby is acts of service. But I don't know how or have the skills for all the things he would like done. 😔 For example he has a project airplane he would love it if I went to the hanger to work on it. 😂

Make sure you have both beef and chicken for the meat. I don’t eat anything that used to have fur, so whenever people intentionally have chicken with a meal, I am so very appreciative! You may also want to use frozen raspberries instead of strawberries in the drink, because of allergies.
I normally do much for others, but I'm at a place in life where I live with chronic pain. I've had to pull back on some of my previous activities. There are still ways I can serve others, but my options are more limited to things that don't require physical activities.
Remember to put hand sanitizer on the tables at each end. I can’t eat food that others, especially children, have possible touched, yuk. But I would just bring my own plate of food and eat mine :).

Actually I m in a phase where i must feel valid like Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus. I feel like a lot of Christian people are so extroverted and do and serve actively
And i just like to listen or encourage or say something positive and be attentive...
But sometimes i feel attacked just like from Martha, her sister to come and serve.
Need to let that sink in that Jesus said she chose the better thing and that should not be taken from her! :)
