Recently I started clipping a little metal litter scooper (for cats) to my surf pack. It’s made to separate things from sand, so naturally works really well as a portable, cheap sand crab scoop. Highly recommend.
Awesome vid as always man! Cool to see a lot of fish were biting on the first day, just needed one more cast to find where those monsters were chillin at haha glad you got that perfect water size striper though!
man i remember foul-hooking a shovelnose in SD on a quick lunch session once...that guy ran me up and down the beach for 15 minutes, maybe a 10 pounder. i can't imagine contending with that big boy on my surf perch rig
Can I make a little suggestion… look at the camera… and not you… makes for more engagement… just a thought… love everything you do… you care, compassionate, heart and love fishing and help so many! Also, learn so much! You inspire and can be very patient! Thank you for sharing your passion!
I recently caught a 22" stripe with a very similar "Scar". Not the first time too. I wonder if it's actually a common genetic mutation. Mind had the deformation on both sides, not just one side. It was visible on the skin/scales but all the skeleton looked a little deformed.
Catching rays is like pulling a sheet of plywood through water. My biggest weighed 55#s... eating it is when I discovered my first seafood allergy. A sad moment.
Perch pouch? Rather specialized gear.😁 When you go to the coast do you pay for parking? Where can you go and park for free and not have to walk a mile?
Wouldn't it be better to toss your fish on ice though? I don't think a bit of water will keep it cold enough, maybe if it was always in the bay water but just dangling from your waist idk.
Hey Adam, a bit of advice. When talking to the camera, you should talk into the lens and not the screen. It'll make your videos more personable, like you're making eye contact with the viewer. Just a thought. Keep it up. Your videos are awesome.

Loving fishnotify, awesome video, tight lines, 🤙🏽
Hell of a sting ray. Used to catch em at coyote point years ago tight lines
Solid recovery bro! 💪💪 I hope people are taking notes ‼️🔥🔥
Fishing for spotfin croaker in the 70s in Mission Bay we always had to be ready for the surprise ray that would come along.
Thanks for keeping it real, Great Adventures Adam.
I love my Perch Pouch. Way to go Adam! Thanks for sharing that.
Excellent website! Thanks!!

I'm always thinking that next cast is the one! haha
Had a Spanish mackerel bled and it was really good.
Those pile perch are way better eating than other types of perch, really good table fare.
Good to know!I'll try them out next time!

Good catches ///// That fishnotify site is clutch 🎯
My goal is to catch a striped from shore up here in Ventura. I’ve been getting the corbina. Love the videos man!
hell yeah man, croakers and king croakers slam here in the 805

Steve Irwin probably saved 100 lives preventing people from playing with bat and sting rays.
Can anyone tell me if you can catch perch all year in the bay I don’t get the dfg website
Thanks Adam this web page is going to be so helpful I'll try this out here at Marina State Beach,,,,,
Bummer about that bat ray. I've hooked one on a boat, and it took me around the boat one time too before we could release it.
Do you like fishing the low tide? I forget to ask you fish mono or braid?
What kind of rod are you using for perch and striper?

What is your favorite surf rod+reel setup?
What kind of rod and reel are you using?
Wow - thanks for the info
Is that the 1 3/4 oz or 1 1/4 oz minnow ?
I'm not sure on the weight but I know its the 6" version
@@DieHardFishing
Thanks 6” is the 1 1/4
Great video....come fish and make a video in Monterey Bay .... would love your info on the area.... keep it up 👍
What pole are you using?
What color fluke were you using?
what rod and reel combo would you recommend for both what your doing, and fishing for rockfish from cliffs?
something medium to medium heavy in the 9-10 foot range
Sweet! I get confused about reel size 4000, 5000, 6000 size?
Thanks for the website info … hitting Manresa tomorrow!!!
You create great videos!
Good luck!
That croissant looks tasty! Where can i get it in the bay area?
Howdy, what size reel is that please?
What size is that lure?
Will be in Lawson landing this weekend.. is there surf perch or striper fishing from the surf?
I believe so!
Lawsons landing has a fish report on there web site. Stripers and perch can be/are available there.
Perch Pouch needs an over the shoulder sling!
Not a bad idea!
Well, I must be stupid, I have watched every surfperch video and I still can’t tell what you were using for bait. Might be my ADD kicking in.
Tried the website. sadly, It did not work. And, for some reason it triggers my work's web block. Will keep trying
I tried and it's back up now
Where are you fishing
P̶e̶r̶c̶h̶ bass pouch!

Most parking in Santa Cruz County is free unless you go to a state park. Finding open parking on the weekends can be an issue though.
@@HunterParkinson Santa Cruz! I was thinking HMB or Pacifica.😁
Bass Bag
nice!!

Ice is always better, but you’re not going to lug a cooler to some spots.
Is a stingray sting a medical emergency? Do you have first aid for it?
I would definitely go to a doctor if I got stung by one
One slip and fall in the water and there goes your pouch n string of fish. Plus blood spilling to attract them sharks.
Videos over 10 minutes never survive
Keep it tight. ♥️ time is always tight.

Looks like you could use a haircut. 😅
Already done! haha
@@DieHardFishing Adam; don't pull a Samson and lose your fishing ability/luck charm!
The straight disappointment you couldn't flip that ray over. You been fishing for a long time c'mon man.
I mean to be fair, those things are heavy. And adding the element of the surf. I can understand why.
It flipped bruh ,w’dyou mean ?? It went on its way
Tell me you're a dink without telling me you're a dink 🤣
FISHNOTIFY can't get it as an app..right? like SURFFORECAST
