'THEY CAN BOTH BRAIN FIGHT?!' - greatest sentence in human history! Well done lads!

Paul Anderson as Moriarty's right hand man is great casting with him later on going to Peaky Blinders. He's a menace in this film and is one of the few times of where a henchmen keeps coming after the protagonist and doesn't stop.

Fun (actually sad) fact: Years back, after working on the script for the third film, they finally got one that had Downey sign off on. They also had a window, between his work on Infinity Wars and Endgame. Alas reshoots got in the way so they couldn't get to it. That's the last I've ever heard about it, I really hope they get around to it.

They hired professional chess players to help with the storyline and used some of the strategies as inspiration for the direction of the characters and story

Such a good sequel. Moriarty is up there with the best of cinematic villains, and that forest chase with the slow-mo and focused shots... magical.

  • @MetastaticMaladies

A rare instance where the sequel is as good or better than the first. I wish they had filmed a third, especially with the ending being done like that.

You guys should really watch The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It's like a literary Avengers movie.

Good second movie. Too bad we didn't get more.

Reichenbach Falls was the author's attempt at ending the Sherlock series. However, the readers were so upset, he was forced to write a continuation of the hero.

at the end of the train fight, Holmes' make-up was very Heath Ledger's Joker-esque. A tribute to the actor who had recently passed.

  • @torkpenderloin

I must admit the music in these Sherlock Holmes movies absolutely slaps.

"How much power does this man have?"

  • @billbill6094

You should've been there in the theater during that final fight. Sherlock had barely narrated any of his mental fights in this movie unlike the first one, but when he started speaking the whole theater cheered. Until Moriarty started speaking too...

Man, Jared Harris was great as Moriarty in this. He was also great as Valery Legasov in Chernobyl and Lane Pryce in Mad Men.

"Where's the fire? It's not as if Germany's going anywhere!"

To this day, my favorite ending to a movie I’ve ever seen. Had my jaw dropping in the theatre. Phenomenal movie

Chris almost falling out of his chair before the movie killed me. 😆

Only caught this after watching a few times, the slow mo omelette fight being “interrupted” by the knife throw sets up the slow mo fight at the end being able to be altered unlike the first movie where Sherlock is always right.

RDJ originally used an English accent for his portrayal of Charlie Chaplin in the biographical drama Chaplin. Besides Tropic Thunder, he used an Australian accent in Natural Born K!llers. Other portrayals of Sherlock Holmes include Young Sherlock Holmes, The Great Mouse Detective, an animated series and two live action series
