No, he does not. Put Conroy in a suit, put him in live-action, and the illusion disappears. He was a great voice actor for the animated role. Nothing more.
Shortly before the release of 1989 Batman, many were shocked that the lead role was awarded to Michael Keaton. His slight physical stature and past comedic roles, such as Beetlejuice, had fans more than a little concerned that he cold not pull off a convincing dark knight. Safe to say he disproved the naysayers and rose to the occasion.
OK, I can accept Adam West at 4. He really was perfect as a silver age hero and while Batman as a character has become better over time, no one else hits that perfect combination of their time period. A Batman that has no negatives just time wore on.
Objectively, Ben Affleck is the best 21st Century Batman. DEFINITELY. As for the 20th century,...it is between Adam West and Michael Keaton, but they are too different to compare. And Kevin Conroy is and will always be the best Batman voice.
@kalebmcdaniel9147 Pattinson is good, but he isn't better... He's slower than Ben's Batman. He isn't good at keeping a dual identity. He isn't as good a detective. He isn't as strong. Pattinson's Batman has been doing it for two years and Affleck's Batman has been for twenty, so there is literally no realistic way he could be better at anything than Affleck's Batman. He has less technology. He isn't as scary. He isn't as prepared. He isn't as skillful. I could keep going on, but I won't because comparing them is not fair at all. Point is,... Pattinson's Batman ISN'T better in literally every way.
His Batman is better tho 1. Pattinson suit looks way better fleck looks bloated and his trench coat and goggles looks so dumb 2. Fleck is definitely not faster lol Pattinson was by far faster fleck was hooked up to machine so he could jump across the room but other than those small parts he wasn’t 3. Pattinson actually uses the detective side fleck just shows up like he has spidey senses 4. Pattinson has way better fight scenes flecks are lame the one warehouse scene is alright but he practically shoots everyone while wearing the goofiest trench coat and goggles 5. Pattinson has one of the best Batman voices and his is actually real 6. Pattinson looks in shape and fleck looks like he has been eating at McDonalds for 5 months
@@kalebmcdaniel9147 1) Rob's Batman suit might look more stylish, but Ben's Batman suit looks more menacing and comic accurate. 2) You realize Ben's Batman fought a warehouse full of trained assassins and parademons and evaded the likes of Doomsday right ? That takes more speed than Rob's Batman portrayed in him movie. 3) Batman does detective work in BvS ultimate edition. Go watch the movie. He finds out about Lex's Kryptonite. (Sure Lex wanted him to find out, but he let Batman do it without any secret help or making it easy for him) Whereas Riddler wasn't only leaving clues, he was waiting for Batman to solve the mysteries. 4) Rob's fight scenes are realistic and noir, sure, but Ben's fight scenes are violent and epic. Oh and he barely even shot anyone in the warehouse scene. 90% of the warehouse scene was hand combat on Batman's part. Again, go and watch the movie. 5) Rob's voice as Batman and Bruce Wayne are exactly the same. At least Ben tries to hide his identity. 6) How could anyone tell Rob's Batman is "in shape"? He wears armor that covers his entire frame. Ben's Batman is not bloated, he is buff. If you watched the movie, you would see Ben's Batman shirtless is very muscular. And, those muscles translate into the costume very comic accurately. 7) stop whining about the goggles and trench coat. It was in the Knightmare timeline in a desert world. They aren't looking to be stylish. Look, unlike you with Ben's Batman, I'm NOT hating on Rob's Batman. I LOVE his Batman... But again, he is in year two. Ben's Batman is in year twenty. There is nothing that year two Batman who fights gangsters can be better at than year Twenty Batman that fight aliens and monsters.
You know, in my opinion, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these batman, I mean, they all portrayed the character perfectly in their own way, which is what I love batman no matter who plays him hel always be there to stop those that try to harm the people of Gotham.
My opinion & generation Kevin Conroy, Michael Keaton and Christian Bale are still the best to play the role. Some were good like Adam West and even some were the wrong choices like George Clooney and Ben Affleck.
The Batman character is easily 3 different roles. Bruce Wayne’s true self, Bruce Wayne the phony billionaire playboy, and The Batman himself. No one pulled that off better than Keaton and Bale. Afleck and Pattinson were trash as the Bruce’s. Even Kilmer did better.
He did not get carried by the riddler let’s compare both Batman’s, battinson has one of the best looking Batman suits fleck looks bloated and has a weird neck and the whole trenchcoat and goggles thing looks goofy af, 2 battinson has way better fight scenes fleck just shoots everyone which isn’t accurate at all, 3 Pattinson has one of the best Batman voices ever fleck doesn’t even have a voice his is fake, 4 Pattinson actually has a detective brain fleck just has spidy senses and just shows up lol

Might as well rename this video, chief. You're totally missing two major Batman actors in Lewis Wilson and Robert Lowery from the 1943 and 1949 movie serials.
Bale was featured in three films, but Affleck got four cinematic appearances (technically five, considering Josstice League 2017 was basically its own thing compared to the Snyder Cut). We shall see how far Reeves and Pattinson get in their cinematic journey with Gunn's DCU Batman film on the way.
I think all are just different Batmen who fit their context, story, and production. There is no "best." Some things you just cannot rank. West was great for the 1960s' television show and Bale was great for Nolan. Keaton was great for Burton and Affleck was great for Snyder. And Pattinson was great as a Year 2 Batman. The Bruce Wayne persona is also a development character (if Reeves ever even makes a sequel). Although, Schumacker did Kilmer and Clooney no favors. One can certainly argue a worst.
Affleck should not be ahead of Bale. Bale was really the only live action to play the three personas Batman, Wayne (real), Wayne (outward persona). Bale also had the only true character arc of any batman.
Disagree on point #1, Affleck clearly had sequences where he played all three personas in BvS. Agree on point #2, but only because prior Batman actors (Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney) all had their cinematic arcs cut short due to outside interference from the studio.
Michael Keaton is the best Batman Christian Bale is the best Bruce Wayne. Adam West had the best car Aaron Eckhart is the best two face/Harvey Dent. Heath Ledger is the best joker, Jack Nicholson a near second. Michelle Pfeiffer is simply stunning.... and the best Catwoman. Sean Pertwee is the best Alfred Pennyworth. Danny Devito makes me want to vomit as penguin, but only because he played it so well I refuse to watch Clooney as batman, it looks terrible, even though Alicia Silverstone is in the movie.... Robert Patterson? That movie was cr@p. The car was decent, the movie was an hour too long, and Nirvana/something in the way she moves was over used.
Ben Affleck at #2? His Batman better than Christian Bale?!! Batfleck isn't bad, but a little too violent. He's more of Flashpoint Batman than Bruce Wayne's version. Plus, Christian Bale's Batman has more character development. Batfleck should be at 5 or 4.
Keaton benefits too much from nostalgia and Bale gets too much criticism for his voice.
Nope. The flash movie shows peak batman even though hes retired and 70 years old.
I agree,Keaton gets too much love bc nostalgia,he’s not a comic accurate batman at all
@@debbiebrantley61 This is a movie not a comic book.
I agree
Live action is no contest, its Adam West all day long.
Animated, Kevin Conroy was THE VOICE of Batman.
Not being a movie prevents Kevin Conroy from being entered, but we all know he belongs.
I'd call it an egregious oversight.
