Michael's luck in this game was just wild, man. Great use of banshees, and really cool defensive play against such aggressive spellcasting. And those charge rolls, dude! I was stoked to see that Lord Executioner cut through those acolytes after that chonky charge, but was friggin' heartbroken to see those wound rolls. 😭 I'm not sure it would have made a big difference here overall, but I think Michael could have benefitted from the double-heroic actions in the first three rounds. At the very least, the Spirit Torment could have gone Heroic Willpower to dispel those endless spells, combined with Heroic Leadership. I like how he used Finest Hour on the one hero that it made no difference for... 🤣 I'm frustrated that Finest Hour is half-useless for Nighthaunt, and totally useless with a Guardian of Souls around. I think Nighthaunt's weakness here was their dependence on being a castle. They just couldn't move up to the objectives that they needed without splitting up, which can dramatically weaken them. Good call on David for focus-firing down the Hexwraiths. Awesome battle report, guys! Excited to see more Nighthaunt. 👻 Cheers!

You are right the cast both helped us stay alive but it cost us scoring points and ultimately the game. A couple key moments of not getting rid of those endless spellls and getting stuck in with spawn after spawn really slowed my roll. I think next time I will have to be more aggressive with the nighthaunt and really yeet them before more lords of change come in.
Fun report as always! The second Lord of Change couldn't have been summoned, it can only be summoned by mortal heroes with Guild of Sums. I had been misunderstanding the tides of anarchy tactic, so thanks for helping me learn about that one. I had been thinking you had to gain control of it in the hero phase. There was an opportunity to go for the banshees early on by walking forward with a lot of shooting and sky sharks, woulda been worth it imo.
Good call! I did not need LoC number 2 to clinch the win, but I feel foolish for overlooking that it has to be an Arcanite hero. Thanks for watching our stuff 😀

As for this match up I lean SLIGHTLY to Michael. He pilots Nighthaunt so well and even though David has some games under his belt, that edge goes to Michael, imo. However, I think if David can utilize that allegiance ability quickly it will turn to the disciples very quickly. Cheers, guys!

Don't forget arcane sacrifice is at the begining of hero phase, not during, also your general can take that mortal wound. And because you decide order you can take mortal then use heroic recovery or even better if ogroid is in combat you can take that mortal and then fight in hero while having +1 to hit and to wound - it could score you cheeky battle tactic or two, this one is mine because opponent cannot use all out defence in hero and they cannot use finest hour before you resolve all you "at the begining" stuff. Increasing range also works with endless spells, on last tournament my opponent set up in corner with his key hero thinking he's safe. My Ogroid was 53.99" of his hero - arcane sacrifice to boost range, umbrall spellportal 27", his warscroll spell with 27" through the mirror, rolled 6 mortals and took out his hero.
1:00:00. It might ease the play but presumable there was room between terrain and tzeentch models? Terrain can be used to slow down flying charges. Especially tall ones.
There was plenty of room on the other side of the terrain for the models to be placed. but it would have been difficult to for the viewers to see what was happening through the terrain
Are there more Tzeentch battle reports behind the membership wall? I will sub if so. I love your Tzeentch content! Please do more. It's both informative and immensely entertaining
There is a recent member report that is Tzeentch vs Seraphon. That is a very good report focused on two technical armies and is a very close game. We plan to add more Tzeentch content soon, they are a very fun army to play. Stay tuned :)
Am I the only one to notice that Nighthaunt should have been able to choose 2 battle tactics in multiple turns (I think turns 3 and 4) because of the scenario. I don't know Nighthaunt units that well but I could have sworn that the guy, whatshisface, Spirit Torment is a GC?
You are correct Nighthaunt could have chosen two tactics. Off screen Michael lamented over this for some time. Its a challenge because in this season its hard enough to complete one tactic some times let alone two. Ultimately Michael decided not to declare two tactics because he thought he would fail them both so better so save one for later.
Looking at the member names in your intro, I realized my first name in youtube was in all lower case. Fixed it so if you can plz correct it too in your intro. Hreat game guys
Voting for nighthaunt banshees counterlist and tzeentch can only summon LoC from Mortal Heroes which they have only the Ogroid so i guess once He is dead there is no additional Chickens. Lets See the outcome
Shit guys! I forgot that this is arcanite heroes only 😞 although it wouldn't have changed the outcome, I want to play my armies correctly! I like this tactic! I didn't think to use the spell portal plus added range. That is a hot little combo! I'll try it next time 😉

Love the battle! Just one quick question...cunning manouvre doesnt require enemy model/units to be in the objective to be "contesting it"?
its does not. Main rules 18.1.2 if a model is within 6 of an objective it is contesting that objective. Hope this helps.

honest question, if you have a unit within 3 do you get the "option" to not pile in and fight? I thought this was required not a choice.
Pile in isnt required fighting If in range however is. He didnt piled in to Stop more Attacks from going Into it.
