Its strange ,to me, that I lived next door to the Circle G ranch AND in the same unit,1/32 Armor... in Friedberg and the Same town of Bad Nauhiem. :) Elvis, Myself and anyone that served in THAT unit are called "Bandits"

@Spa Guy Hey Billy, this doesn't have really anything to do with this vlog per say, but in a way it does because it it Elvis related......... So I'm watching the T.V. Show TMZ and they just mentioned YOU! There was a story and some guy had on a Elvis mug shot t shirt, and the person (Harvey) on the show asks i didn't know Elvis was ever arrested , then one of the girls on the show must've google it and she explained that it was from when he was at a gas station a fight broke out, when the guy asked how do you know that the girl replied back SPAGUY!!!!!!!! I was like did you just hear that???? That's my friend Billy! Well i just thought I'd tell ya, God Bless ya Billy you made the BIG TIME!

Billy - Happy belated Thanksgiving! Love your videos and all the Elvis history you illustrate and preserve for us! I've been binge watching them all weekend! My take on the wall photo is that more than likely the area where Elvis was leaning against the wall is by the vertical red line in between the window with the shutter and the window without. In the photo with Elvis, there are 3 windows to his right. It would make sense that third window was converted into the doorway and the building was later added on to. If you pause your video around the 5:02 mark, the perspective lines up correctly. Also around the 5:34 mark, it is more evident to see where the break in the building (the red vertical line) is and where the addition begins. What are your thoughts on this theory? Tighten up my friend =)
Billy, you were right on your first guess that Elvis was standing at the corner of the building. I believe you are too far along the building. He was closer to the corner not the doorway opening. There are three consecutive windows next to Elvis and if you look towards the corner of the building there are three consecutive windows and no doorway opening. @@SpaGuy First, you are GREAT, I love your videos. But with all due respect, ( and you deserve much) how do you explain the height of the arch in comparison to the height of Elvis. In the Elvis picture his head is well higher than the arch, in your picture your head is well below the arch. Also the 3 downspouts in view at a good distance in the Elvis picture, yet in your picture, you are directly beside the 3rd downspout. And if I may say, adding a door way to subdivide the building within the last 60 years is VERY possible, notice the nice smooth stucco finish within the doorway compared to the cover coat on outside wall, that indicates a newer finish. As far as the chips in the corner go, the added doorway wall corner appears to be stone and would have suffered 60 years of punishment, and the damaged corner in the Elvis picture appeared to be a mudcoat corner and would have undoubtedly been refinished upon the stucco process. Thank you for all of your excellent research and great videos.

The Army kept Elvis hidden and restricted the publicity so there was not much to do there for the Colonel.. They allowed a few interviews in the beginning and then cut it out.. The roof over the arch was redone recently and now features 2 small windows. There is also a large spray painting inside the arch of the picture used for the album cover.
What- I live there lmao Every year there is a day that’s called ,,Elvis Presley‘‘. They are doing concerts with his music and literally the whole town hears it! I can‘t believe that I leaned myself on the same things as Elvis Presley… Oh and his grave is here. I literally was by Elvis Presley‘s Grave 😳

Love the way you worked through the possible points that Elvis could have been photographed with the arch in the background that's part of the fun of your videos is the way you work it through like a detective. Think you got it in the end but I could see that was way too close with the doorway photographs can be very misleading when it comes to judging distance. The perspective changes according to how close and distant the photographer is to the subject.
Hey, I didn't get to read all of the comments yet, but did I find myself an "Easter egg"??? The photo of "A Big Hunk O' Love/My Wish Came True" shows a 45, not an album. Lol....I don't really care, either way, just trying to tighten up. I have been trying to pay closer attention to the potential "eggs" after your video addressing it. Thanks again. Given his showing rank here he could not have been much more than a year into his service to his country and out of the CONUS. To me it is a telling thing that he was wearing a standard non-tailored uniform which is clearly showing in the fit of the uniform. He simply wanted to be a soldier same as all the others he was stationed with there.

and if you look at the tunnel now in 2023 and compare the photo of Elvis, you will now see that 2 dormers have been placed on the house. 6 years ago when this film was made, these did not yet exist
Great work! Only thing I am not getting is the tunnel profile of the inside wall of the tunnel. When you move up to the doorway it shows so much more of the inside of the tunnel. At least the way it looks in the vid..
Me and my brother think that the spot is close to the 30 km sign you see there the windows and also the angle of the road seems correct from that.place
What's the story of him filming "G.I. Blues"? Did he get out of the Army do the Sinatra special and fly back to Germany for filming or did the film before he left Germany when he was discharged?
Everything looks slightly different also because of different photo lenses used then and now. Your (phone or camera) lens is slightly wider angle than was used to take original picture. Also original picture is taken from slightly lower angle. Anyway Those are the right windows behind Elvis. On a second floor we see 4 windows (2 of them are shorter) and 3 windows on first floor. You got the right spot in your first try Billy . Marker on the wall is in the wrong spot as was your picture taken by the door opening. What is the street name of that place ? Maybe we could get a better view through google maps .
Mark I have not released them yet because the shorter versions are not being released in order so I don't want to let the cat out of the bag so to speak until the short ones are complete.. Thanks again. Given his showing rank here he could not have been much more than a year into his service to his country and out of the CONUS. To me it is a telling thing that he was wearing a standard non-tailored uniform which is clearly showing in the fit of the uniform. He simply wanted to be a soldier same as all the others he was stationed with there.

Great work! Only thing I am not getting is the tunnel profile of the inside wall of the tunnel. When you move up to the doorway it shows so much more of the inside of the tunnel. At least the way it looks in the vid..

Everything looks slightly different also because of different photo lenses used then and now. Your (phone or camera) lens is slightly wider angle than was used to take original picture. Also original picture is taken from slightly lower angle. Anyway Those are the right windows behind Elvis. On a second floor we see 4 windows (2 of them are shorter) and 3 windows on first floor. You got the right spot in your first try Billy . Marker on the wall is in the wrong spot as was your picture taken by the door opening. What is the street name of that place ? Maybe we could get a better view through google maps .
