Namaste, Try practicing it in the morning however you can also try in the morning. Its important to note that one must keep a gap of 2-3 hours between meals and asanas

In Sarvangasana-your ankles, knees, hip, and shoulder are in a near vertical line. Your hands are pressed against the low back or low ribs vs. Viparita Karani where your hips are being held/cradled by your hands, legs aren’t vertical but angled out. Viparita Karani is essentially a modified version of shoulder stand (Sarvangasana)

If you do hastapadasana, then its safe to do vipritkarni. Else, pls avoid

Breath normally. and maintain the pose for 6 seconds or more
Inhaling, lower your hips
For how long we should hold the pose
