I love how Elden Ring makes you feel actually cool and powerful, and like someone capable of beating the godly foes you defeat. I always had the problem with Dark Souls where no matter how strong a warrior or mage you are, you look so lame compared to the enemies.

Seriously man. Blood borne is my favorite in the series but I literally just use the same armor and weapon throughout the whole game. Elden ring on the other hand makes me feel like I’m getting progressively stronger and cooler looking.

@@Thydeepestfear yeah. In elden ring you use weapons literally made to kill gods, in bloodborne you use the cleaver some small white dudes gave you at the start of the game to kill eldritch gods.
I love how the Axe of Godrick's art or war is literally named "I command thee, kneel".

don't forget with the recent patch, Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear got a huge buff since now is properly scale with arcane. It can easily do over 7k damage.
I love how they made the boss weapons more relevant to the bosse's moveset. Otherwise the weapons worth is very similar to any weapon you get in the game.
Yeah you can fully cosplay as some bosses using some of their actual moveset
The over-the-top attacks with magic effects really sell it, unlike the rather mundane boss soul weapons you get in like DS3.

The white creature things in the capital attack you like the masked people from the secret area from Sekiro. It seems like a lot to be a coincidence. Why else would there literally be 0 information on Tamoe?

Hence, why we rely on established content creators to do their job thoroughly. The "do it yourself" comments are idiotic, especially when you're responding to someone who is giving valid criticism.

Backstep + attack is sometimes a unique attack.
Found its pretty useful to back step in alot of boss fights, your hit box moves just of reach and a quick a attack let's you get in extra dps, most boss fights and encounters find myself not even locking on but spinning my camera and avoiding, bloodborne changed the way I play souls games, also makes it easier during player fights since you can aim your attacks

I swear this game has some of the most coolest names from all of Fromsoft installments. Starscourge Radahn, Bastard's Star, Naturalborn Void, etc.

The Morgott's curse-blood slice is like the mortal blade. That's why I love this weapon.

Same dude... I've only beat the first boss and I had the game pre-ordered... it's okay though, took me like full 40 hours to explore all of limgrave on my own without walkthroughs. Feels like that's a more proper approach to this game anyway, much better experience for the first play-through, breathe it in, you know. After all that I'll probably start using the wiki-map and getting everything on it, as well as updating new-finds for the community, doubt I've found that someone hasn't already on their fifth play-through, but I'm willing to bet the wiki is far off from 100% completion... to be honest I'm sure of it, I mean look at the demon souls community, there's bound to be stuff to be found for years to come.

This feels like they finally made an effort to make boss weapons/spells relevant. Though I have not yet seen data on their performance, I at least hope they are good performance wise, they certainly look more unique than ever.
Some of them are straight up op on the right build (blasphemous blade has lifesteal when equipped)
unfortunately, they did not put effort in. They made them look cool, but most of the boss weapons are sub par to the regular weapons.
@@xelthos2051 quite a few of them are fairly strong radahn swords are amazing on a str int build elden beast sword can completely clear a room and the blasphemous blade can fully carry you even if it's on your back but yeah a lot of early ones are sup par (expect the spells which tend to be very useful)

Technichly Guts sword is canon that the sword is infused with magic from all the demons he's killed with it so he could prob do something like that

I think fromsoft saw videos about boss mods so they decided to give players upgraded boss weapons in order for them to be some sort of mini boss cuz these weapons are insanes

Damn, i cant believe how good, cool looking and different they all are, when compared to DS3, for example, where WA's was bleak and boring. Amazing work by FS.

Not really a proper comparison when DS3 was the first to add WA, and besides at the time it was a revolutionary addition. You see it was something they had to at least test in one game with and found out they can be a little more free with it.
There were a couple cool WAs in ds3, but yeah, most weren't so good
A note on Placidusax's Ruin, the move's initial activation where the head appears before it sweeps actually hits as well, and if you can somehow position the mob slightly to the left under the breath before the head begins sweeping that is optimal damage... That being said, this move is NOT like the other breath attacks which are channelled. This breath hits once per sweep and each hit does fixed damage. It can hit a max of 5 times... The initial activation, positioned under the initial uncontrolled breath, once on the sweep right, then sweep left, then the final vertical sweep.
Realistically though? You're not getting 5 hits... Be happy with 3. Most things die with 3 anyway.😎
By fixed damage, do you mean its dmg doesnt change regardless of your seal and stats?
@@jackvalior No the damage will scale depending on your stats. By fixed damage I mean you can't charge/channel the move unlike the other breaths where you can hold down the button to continue breathing for more damage. The duration of this move and the number of hits it does is fixed.

It says it only scaled with faith an no arcane, so do I get the most damage out of it with a erdtree seal? Or do I still get the bonus damage from a dragon communion seal?
@@Jesse_Barrios Those are only stats requirements. The spell will scale to whatever your seal scales towards.
Actually for Axe of Godfrey, after you use it's AoW, your Strong attack animation is changed

Malenia's sword is incredible
It's also incredible in practice. If you upgrade it to max, and you use it's Ash of War in PvP, the only way you're losing is if you decide to throw yourself off a cliff. Get hit once by that combo chain and you are dead - there's absolutely no way to escape or roll out of it, so if you get hit by one of the first hits in the combo, you're eating the rest of it too.

@@VendettaSoundtracks I have it too, and I'm a pure DEX build so I use it. You can both roll out of it, you can position yourself far enough away, and the weapon art is so delayed and telegrapahed it ends up always being cancelled by the other player, assuming they are not braindead. Any damage stops the animation, and it lasts so fucking long that the only way to get it off consitently is timing it right, and baiting someone to run into it.

These are absolutely amazing! The only one I can say I was disappointed in was Morgott's sword. I was really hoping for a melee/sorcery staff weapon that would let us use the golden magic summoned off-hand weapons that Margit uses during his fights...

@@daDarkElixir Maybe. I was picturing something like Friede's Scythe, but as a staff and the weapon art is like Elfreiede's Stance, but with the summoned gold greatsword on L2-R1 and the hammer on L2-R2

yeah right on my friend, i did knew about them since about a week ago and truly was very surprised with how good and reliable was Hoslow's chain
it really was mostly what i was hoping it to be, a badass Metal chain with good impact and staggering properties
but also damaging, plus you can never go wrong with that sexy BLEED build
and also was very beautiful looking
only real problems is that for some stupid reasons lacks the critical stab animations
and that is not as fast as Medium swords
which something will get me into trouble
with that said, is cool that you could get Petal really early, If you kill Diallos, which i felt truly bad on doing since you can tell is a very cool character and very Belmont inspired
i can guarantee that Devs got inspiration from Richter Belmont
well he always makes me think of him
but i did a Simon Belmont build and killed to get the the Petal as soon possible
truly feel terrible for it and i usually don't like killing the NPCs
but i had to have the weapon and i lost patient having to wait to complete the Volcano Manor Questline
but i did a promise to him to complete his Questline on New game+
without killing him this time of course

Fromsoft saw the entire community maje fun of faith builds and said "you want faith? I'll give you faith" and made every single cool weapon and spell scale and require faith lmao
Its more the fact that most of the powerful bosses your facing are characters with faith to something rather then studying. There are meany weapons for int builds.
But over all yes Faith did get a lot of love in Elden Ring which as someone who always does faith hybrid builds i dont mind.

You can sneak into r1 r2 instead of wasting spacing/time/stamina running, for anyone that didn't know, especially useful for pvp.
Edit: Hand of Milenia has got to be my fav at 11:54. Also it appears everyone is using Sacred Relic Sword for the late game rune farming.
Yeah, for example, the Greatsword's Sneak r1 is a nice thrusting stab, it actually rounds out it's moveset perfectly.
I really enjoy the video, but I think it may be nice to put up on the screen what type of attack you are doing at the time like light attack, heavy attack, charged attack, etc.
If you do a charged attack with Godrey's weapon after using the weapon skill you get unique attack animations
Great job but one bit of feedback would be to show the button combos being used on the screen somewhere 👍🏻

Bit of a bummer that there seems to not be enough Walking Mausoleums to get everything in a single playthrough, but still better than having to do 2 complete playthroughs before having a full arsenal, even if some aren't that great.

There is a sword called Night Flame, or night fire haha i forget but check it out how to get it, its amazing

Its not a boss weapon but is cool af, the magic katana is really good too, bleed and an amazing weapon art
@@chriskoloski32 yeah but is a staff not a weapon, also it requires 60 Int to use it and it just starts to be worth using after +6, before that, mateorite staff scalling is better

The Axe of Godfrey actually changes the heavy attack moveset after you use the Ash of War. It really makes you feel like Godfrey 😁

The carian regal scepter’s spin attack scales purely with int.
At 80 intelligence, 4 spins hit for 1,250 damage.

Time to re-customize my tarnished with long silver hair to perfect match with Hand of Meliana
Regal ancestor spirit deserved better remembrance items. What they should have made instead is for its talisman to restore 3 fp whenever you hit an enemy instead for each enemy killed. Then the greataxe's ability should've been an aoe life drain effect, similar to what the spirit does during the fight, dealing damage to all nearby enemies while healing the player

1- Mohg's sacred spear
2-maliketh's black blade
3-morgott's cursed sword
4-blasphemous blade
5- Either godfrey or godrick's axe
U need to do jump and roll attack also. Btw this is a good content sir

The blasphemous blade might be a reference to Blasphemous, and the sword Mea Culpa! (which is covered in thorns) I love fromsoft
Tbf the Thorned Greatsword has existed in ds2 in fact Looking Glass Knight is just very similar.
