For real though, Sorceries have always been better in the Dark Souls series. As a Sorcerer Knight in those games and this game I can attest to it being fun and strong, very handy. It seems like this is the game for Faith-type spells to finally overtake Sorceries with more power and variety.
That is true! I play Pyro/Cleric in DS3 and I love what they did in Elden Ring. They made it simplier. Now we just have to get Faith. In addition to that we also have Beast Incantations, Blood and Dragon. Omg
Too bad there are like 5 madness spells 2 of which are the same spell and one is an impossible to pull off AoE and they all have an insane recovery at the end so :/ also the sacred seal for them takes forever to get AND LOCKS YOU INTO AN ENTIRE ENDING OF THE GAME AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
So happy I went Faith/Dex for my first playthrough. The sheer variety of incantations is overwhelming. It doesn’t feel that way at the start but they really outdid themselves.
@@Someguy96Lx i am going dex faith. dual wielding winged schyte and normal (sacred ash of war) get minimum requirment for the weapon you like. after that get at least 40 faith
@@BallschanovChugavich one is found on a corpse near an abandoned churcch, The other two iirc are found by taking the secret hidden path past the boss at the Subterranean Shunning Grounds that gives you access to the three fingers. not reccomended though as it locks you into the frenzy lord (bad) endinh of the game where you kill everyone in the world

2:40 Scourging Black Flame quickly became my favourite incantation, I'm STR/FTH so it fits well with my playstyle. Quick cast, big area, very good damage against bosses. Really helped me with the Crucible Knight duo.
Yes but is not so good that build, you need tooons of mana and the damage to bosses they kill you easily becose of no movement and delay to use the spells/breath

Do you recall which are legendary in particular? My list is Flame of the Fel God, Greyoll's Roar, Comet Azur, Founding Rain of Stars, Elden Stars, and Ranni's Dark Moon.
I started as mage, but then I saw some of the incantations and respecced to faith and I'm loving it! Don't even care about the "lost" stat points bc of the wrong starting class, incantations rock!

Then focus on something else that could potentially not have this much hype surrounding it. This game on steam alone within the first 3 days sold 5 mil. On just a single port.. I can easily see this game reaching 20+ mil on all ports combined and thatd be a waste of a opportunity to not make more content with so many players on your game.
@@jinwoo7378 I think there will 100% be DLC but I don't think it's gonna be for a while. Obviously continuous updates and patches will be implemented but I don't see any actual game content being added for at least a year, I think 18-24+ months is more likely. The game is massive and likely you said a lot of time has been spent on it, I think the next project will be the main focus with DLC being worked on in the background but not released for a long time
I really appreciate how you show what it’s called on the side of the screen and all it’s info without showing u switching them. Also appreciate how u show some can be held longer for altered effect
Greyoll's Roar also does damage in a reasonable AoE around the caster. Its listed effect is to heavily debuff enemy defense and Max HP, but it also can hit. Basically pop this, then Placidusax's Ruin and that's the end of well, everything near you.
Get the tear for infinite fp and put it in your wondrous flask…then you can do that combo multiple times in a single boss fight without having to replenish mana
Wow, a pure faith build looks really practical in Elden Ring, so far I've been building towards being a kind of Paladin but being a pure cleric looks very interesting for my next playthrough
Yep i will play as a dragon lord when i get this game, those dragon incantations are just to sweet to ignore especially Placidusax's Ruin which is just Shin Godzillas beam lasers, this game is just too good to exist, such an excuisite game indeed.
Seeing the incantations and sorceries vids side by side low key hurts as a mage, the incantations looks a lot cooler and diverse! The last few sorceries in the last vid even requires faith so all the less options for int/dex build, damn!
You will probably find Sorceries are a bit more usuable and the incantations are a bit more flashy. Keen to make builds for both pure int and pure faith after my first playthough either way!
@@douglasdiggins8296 why not both? Int/fth use holy damage with special scared seal scale both, necromancy spell with staff scale with both. That staff and scared seals dual scale is available now
I like how incantations in Elden Ring have variety to them, like for instance Fortissax's Lightning Spear has a unique look to it(reminds me of Kalameet's head) .
I love using the frenzy flame related spells along with the dragon head that shoots all over the place, really gives the rush of a "lord of frenzied flame" should have.
I've watched an hour of videos showcasing all the different spells, incantations, abilities and I still haven't even gotten to the weapon yet. How many ways are there to kill in this game? Hats off to the developers, the options for builds is insane. Hope there's enough enemies in the game to try them all out on.
Now THIS is something I’d love a guide for. Not just for “how to find the cool ass thing” (which admittedly I would need, too), but a breakdown for the different seals and their properties. This IS the most epic stuff I’ve ever seen.

Lol no you won't, you'll be spending hours looking for them cause people won't tell where they're found and they're so far into the late game you'll be 100 hours in looking for em, the dragon spells are easy to get though

Faith may not be more OP than intelligence but It’s dafintelly cooler and useful in PVE I love how unique the animation is compared to magic where most of the time you just shoot blue stars but here you can swin a tale Bite with a dragon head Burn people with black fire etc And the Defensive and support incantations are amazing Like erd tree heal and flame cleanse me And I forgot to mention that the names are so badass like giant flame take thee, elden stars and the flame of Frenzy

Finger seal may be the worst thing to cast them with, it all depends on what Incantations you intend to use, the Dragon Communion Incantations are boosted by the seal of Dragon Communion, but it has half the incant scaling of other seals, and it also scales off of arcane, a stat you need to cast those Dragon Incantations, while the Clawmark Seal boosts bestial incantations and scales better with strength, find the seal that best matches what you intend to use, though if you intend to try them all, the finger seal may be the better option.
I have been testing a bit and spells don't really scale in strenght as you level faith it's actually just the weapon that it's scaling. Best damage for me rn is dragon communion seal with high arcane and faith. Just get the faith requirements for whatever the strongest spell you wanna use needs and then drop everything else into arcane, this is what gets the highest DPS for me, weirdly enough also on non dragon spells lol
So you can use dragon breathe, dragon laser, dragon claw swipe, dragon chomp, and dragon roar. So you can cosplay as Midir, for about 5 seconds until you run out of FP.

@@GalaxiaKnightX Arcane is the analogue to the luck skill from previous souls games, things like bleed scale off of it, afaik it is just a stat requirements for some of the spells in the game, primarily the Dragon Communion Incantations, though an arcane build in Elden Ring is much more viable than a luck build in any other souls game given the ashes of war that scale off of it.

I hope there is a way for the black flame blade to last longer 😭 it looks so cool but it went out so fast so I had to switch to the blood flame blade which last like 4 times longer
I definitely see pure faith, pure int, int/dex, faith/dex, and faith/str dominating the meta. Imma have you seen these spells and incantations- FromSoft really went all out!!
The amount of insanely cinematic builds you can do with sets of these and certain armor sets... Yet you usually only see the blue plasma spambois...no risk, but also no fun. A proper dragon-madness build however seems so fun.

its also more coherent now, pyro's - hexes - miracles and sorcerys were just too much when only magic was fully fleshed out

Frenzied Burst is definitely a sniper incantation since that range is the greatest of any spell and the flower was spectacular.

Flower is cool but useless. If you get hit anytime during the animation you get thrown out of it.
I really love how miracles went from « héhé holy magic and lightning » to « big boulder go smash »

Those dragon incantation is too cool, finally i'm able to have a full Dragonborn build.
Find Dragon Communion Seal scale with arcane and faith and boost your dragon spell too

There’s a crystal that negates FP consumption for a bit. Makes the build slightly more viable

@@Christian-jr1gn I mean sure. Cause sorceries are mostly aligned with intelligence and incantations are from faith. Since there's arcane. There must be spells that focus on arcane right?
@@GalaxiaKnightX I’m pretty sure I heard arcane is like the “luck” skill in other RPG’s. It just increases RNG of items u get form monsters I believe
@@GalaxiaKnightX Arcane is the analogue to the luck skill from previous souls games, things like bleed scale off of it, afaik it is just a stat requirements for some of the spells in the game, primarily the Dragon Communion Incantations, though an arcane build in Elden Ring is much more viable than a luck build in any other souls game given the ashes of war that scale off of it.

The amount of insanely cinematic builds you can do with sets of these and certain armor sets...
Yet you usually only see the blue plasma spambois...no risk, but also no fun. A proper dragon-madness build however seems so fun.
