I haven’t read the book, but I’ve heard of Sparks. I’ll definitely pick it up now though. 89?!? You are officially my hero now. God bless my friend and keep it in the short grass!
Great Bob, thanks! The key is lifting the left heel to facilitate the body turn amd important weight shift for older golfers. All the greats of the game from Bobby Jones and Sam Snead to Jack Nicklaus did this! "Easiest Swing' golf also talks about this.
Nice video. I’ll check out the book. Obviously you have kept learning as at 89 you’re using technology and posting instructional videos. Keep it up and God bless you!
Good stuff. Other than the “danse” what did Brian teach about the arm action in the backswing? I find myself overly flat going back. Is he lifting the arms?
As you turn to start your backswing, when your left arm is parallel to the ground it should also be parallel to your target line. Continuing to turn, your hands get to shoulder high. You do nothing to do that intentionally. Allow your arms to get there. If your backswing if too flat, you're using your arms to swing the club back there. I can do that but I have to do it intentionally. Former Easy Swing Coach. I went back to my program, Golf Made Easy, which allows the student to find out what works best for him. As long as he/she turns and works consistently for them, we incorporate it into their golf games. For example, there are 3 methods to fine tuning distance control for pitch shots. The Easiest Swing won't allow those on their site when I was one of their coaches because it conflicted with the lead coach's video. Sorry, but there's more than one way to execute a pitch shot. What works best for you?
Common problem with loss of flexibility When you lift each heel-be away of the chain reaction….. Knee goes down…lowers shoulder Left tilts going back… right tilts going forward Clubface shallows with linear rotation Learned sequence Like a teeter totter/see saw Practice with eyes closed Three forces in play: Horizontal, vertical and rotational Tilt…tilt…tilt Eliminate that flat swing!!!
I wish my tack was a 10 penny nail… Now at age 89 a good drive is 200 yds I play tomorrow on a short course and qualify for the forward tees…. No problem shooting my age👍
Nice work, Bob! Thanks for the intro to this book. I've not seen this one. I've got the rest of them though! Thanks again.
You are most welcome!
Nice video. And you Dear Sir, are an inspiration. Thank you.
Thanks👍🙏❤️

Just as we walk ….only one heel touches the ground at any given time !
You set a high bar for the rest of us. Young people need wise old people. I'm old, but I'm still working on the wisdom part. Thanks, Bob.
We grow with our experiences👍
Good stuff Bob! Looks like you can play for quite some time yet!

You don't intentionally lift the left heel. You allow it to come off the ground.
That’s how we walk…

Late happy birthday 🎊
Happy to be helping people become happy with there improved golf swings at the ripe age of 89 👍😀
Amazon has 2 of Mr Sparks books. Which one is better? Which do you recommend?
