heater hose connector 2012 dodge durango rt

  • I was losing coolant and discovered it was the heater hose connector but dodge doesn't make anymore and you have to buy a whole hose assembly which cost $90 at the dealer and $60 on Ebay. after some research I found this connector that's only 13.99 at carquest/advance auto

    This helped a lot, saved me a lot of time was going to head to the stealership tommorow, spent all day autoparts stores and they claim the part doesn’t exist, looked up the part number and it turns out they do have it 🤣🤣

      the dealership discontinue parts and you have to go aftermarket parts or get creative glad i could help

      do you have any thing after market thats electric installed or any exposed wire or any wire touching your exhaust system

      yes slowly on the driver side at the back of the motor where the heater hose is located. the durango is also know for a hair line crack where the upper or lower radiator hose connects to the radiator that leak will be up front

      @@96reddemon Yea mines leaking up front seems like right where the reservoir area is at is that where the radiator hose is?

      @@FreeSmokeEA right next to it check to see if the leak is also possible coming from your reservoir. but look right by the radiator cap let your truck warm and run up so pressure can build so you can see where the leak is coming from

    Mine is making a hissing sound, just noticed that specific area was leaking. white fluid is leaking out of the part the hose connects directly into.. if i change that hose will it fix the issue ?

      it should but make sure there is no air pockets by bleeding the water pump. a steady flow of coolant means no air and your good
