    My step father passed to colon cancer, and my mother took care of him the entire time and it was absolutely horrible. They were married since I was a toddler. You dont realize what all goes into taking care of a terminally ill person for half a year until you have been through it, it is scarring for so many reasons. His two sons were upset because they felt they didnt get enough (they got plenty), even though they only ever called when they wanted something from him, even when he was dying. One of them even stole from him multiple times, neither came to help take care of him at all. Its easy to sympathize with the child because a step parent gets the money when they pass, but you dont always know the whole story.

    • @josephine4611
      @josephine4611 Год назад +11

      The entitlement is crazy.. children are provided for when they can't provide for themselves.. when we marry someone, it's meant to be for life.. children need to stop acting like their parents owe them after their grown.. a marriage for a couple yrs, fair enough, but 10+ yrs and they looked after them in cases of terminal illness, just disgusting to see the entitlement..

    Sadly, some people think that when a loved one dies, it's _finders keepers, losers weepers_ when it comes to the deceased's property, money, stocks/bonds, etc. This sucks because unless the other family members have the time and/or money to take them to court, they end up getting off scot-free.

    • @Kaboomboo
      @Kaboomboo Год назад +15

      Sadly, people at a glance would look at the plaintiff and think it's wrong for him to sue his step daughter. Some nonsense about "never sue family, that's terrible." I don't care if you're related to me or not. If you do the wrong thing, I'm going to hold you accountable. I told my brother after I entered college: "you steal from ever again, I'm taking your ass to court. Don't think I won't." He knew I wasn't playing around and he never stole from me again.

      @@RXbee2 my mother is a death vulture. I saw her trying to take everything from her parents estate after they passed. She didn’t want to share with her sister or anyone else. She actually got mad at my cousin when she found out my grandmother left her money to my cousin (who took care of her) and not my mother (who never visited). I decided to stay out of it. My mother actually called me to ask if I would take a bunch of antique furniture because she had run out of room and didn’t want anyone else to have it. I said no. My cousins split it up between them. My mother was mad at everyone and now no one has talked to her in 10 years because she showed her true self. It’s pretty sad that a little bit of money and some nicknacks can tear a family apart.

    I am going to offer up my opinion. I think the daughter is going to claim she is on "Disability". She is quite young but is sitting down and she doesn't really seem to be that bright. But I think her friend, " I Don't Care, I Don't Even Know Who You Are!", put her up to it and took advantage of the fact there was free money.

      Oh the chances of her not working for some BS disability claim are about 99 to 1 you got that right

    This seems like too big of a deal to just let the plaintiff win. I think this would be a perfectly adequate time to send the defendant away like she does sometimes to call the bank and ask for proof.

    I have a POD bank account. Every month I get a bank statement. The name in the address lists my name then POD My Daughters Name. Right on every statement. Im surprised the plaintiff doesnt have that.
