This story is so confusing.. it sounds like the dad is never home & he allows his kids to do whatever they want so the neighbor steps in to help, it's hard not to get involved because you want to make sure kids are being taken care of. Clearly they are being neglected.

She’s a great woman for caring for the kids he’s neglecting. But she also can’t be surprised that he’s not helping. He’s not even caring for his own so what could she expect from him! I commend her for stepping in. She should have taken the proper steps to foster them, then she would have gotten help from the state.
There’s no reason to call in ACS if someone from the community is willing to step up and fill in the gaps.
But it's hard to fill in the parental gaps without money.

What reason is there to call if the parent has engaged the support of another trusted adult? This guy is saying all that because he doesn’t have her money. He knows where his daughters were.

hate when people make that distinction. it feels harmful for the kids, distinctions like "half sibling". if he has 1 biological child with that mother, any other kids she has is also part of the deal (particularly if they are still minors, if they are grown children that's different). If he doesn't want that many kids he shouldn't have had the 1 😂 DNA similarity does not make a family, it's often what starts it, but it's a choice after.

I feel for the lady. I do feel like she was willing to help him with the kids because she thought there was possibility of a romantic relationship with the dad. And he kind of exploited the feelings she had for him for free child care. He is taking advantage of her. But she is letting him.

It’s dark outside and no child should go unescorted home. Plaintiff u sued for money and property, WRONG! You should have removed yourself out the equation so child services can remove the children, then a parenting plan, parenting classes, counseling could be implemented. If the community can’t protect those children with a positive care plan from the father/step dad cooperating with the neighbor, then the government must step in. 🇺🇸❤️🙏🏽

How do you NOT know where your kids are spending the night, and how in hell does a 9 year old come and go as she pleases? She took on the responsibility to care for and feed children that she didn't have. The nerve of the Dad to KNOW his children were with her and assume no financial responsibility for their care. The judge should have brought him to task about kicking out underage kids and she should have praised this woman. I don't think the judge listened enough. Oftentimes, these judges throw questions out and don't take the time to listen to detail before throwing out another question after obviously having their own preconceived notion about the situation. She should have listened more. Seemed rushed.

All my "fosters" are grown with kids of their own now. They still call me Ma and I'm Grandma to the kids. I only have 2 natural grands but many more out there.

We dont know if the children were really locked out of the house? We only know that SHE said that they were. Child protective services didn't find anything wrong. She's probably just one of those ppl that lets anybody's kids stay at their house because they want to. I know ppl like that!
