I have had my 72 plate for 15k miles now, and can honestly say it is the best car I have ever owned. 12 cars previous, and none are as easy or as fun to drive than the Jazz. I never use the Econ mode, and over the 15k I have averaged 70.4 mpg. I don't hang about either, and this has been averaged over mixed A & B roads, and Motorway driving. The 9.5 0-60 is conservative, because I have done it in 8 seconds, and once you suss out the gearbox, you don't need to scream it. Most starts from lights etc are done in electric mode, so you get the oomph of a pure electric motor. I always drive around town/country roads in B mode, which keeps the electric battery topped up, and use D mode on motorways. The whole electric/generator/petrol drive system is seamless, and we love it.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Glad you have videos on the VW Polo, Peugeot 208, and Hyundai i10 - those plus the jazz are in the mix for my next car. Looking forward to watching those!
@@AutoBears haha that explains it! I confused the polo with the golf, explains why there’s more touch buttons than I thought I’d seen on CarWow. So far it’s a strong 1st place for the Jazz followed by Hyundai’s i10. Got more reconnaissance to do on the other cars. Appreciate your focus on the nitty gritty details and not just the high-level stuff!
Now i ordered the 2024 Jazz Crosstar, and i am very satisfied with the car.i have never a car driving so smooth and quiet drive with all the pro's .no need more car as this.😊
Thanks for the full, honest review. Always been a VW fan but the latest versions with the need to use multiple menus on-screen, unreliability & cost has tipped me towards the Jazz 👍
Actually the eCVT works totally different as explained in this video, the 90hp that delivers the petrol engine are not actually used when driving below 50mph, but you are actually using the 100hp electric motor with its 230nm of torque. The petrol engine 90hp and electric motor 100hp are Never combined.
It's still immensely ugly though at least they've finally got rid of the former Miss Piggy nosejob. From every angle the whole thing looks disjointed, as if designed by a committee unable to agree on the dénouement. Honda: you can't polish an automotive turd.

Comprehensive, clued up and clear review. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the comment. I hope you enjoy them. I will note I have not reviewed the VW Polo but have reviewed the Seat Ibiza.

No mention of heated seats and steering wheel which I believe this version has.
I purchased my Honda Jazz Hybrid for RM67K. My repair bills after the car got caught in a flood about 2 years ago was RM46K.
I have a Honda Jazz. I've owned three. But £27k, for a Jazz? No.
Thanks for the comment. The Jazz is a quirky car. The expense is due to the hybrid tech.
@@AutoBears Yep, quirky for sure -- the hybrid was £22-£23k last year, nearly bought one. Wish I had now!
I must be getting old as the Jazz really appeals to me.
I would have saved up to buy it if it weren't an automatic only.
