Great video. I will get mine on october/november...we are a family of 3 with an low number of km per year, but we need a car for weekends and hollydays as for small moves(school, supermarket). For our use it seems the best solution, over full electric( always avalilable, best use of electric drive, low consumption). And the interior is so luminous, the first time we get in it was...wow...it doesn't seem like you are in a small size car...really good. the coffin seems a bit small but as we only have one child it's not a real problem. I also love the gaming side of this car : with the displayed mode of engine, and the consumption value, it makes you want to drive the better way to spend less fuel....so if like me, you're not in the fastest drive anymore, but the confort, you will want to drive smoothly as possible to maximize the time you use electric mode.
Yep the jazz is not a great looking car, but...I don't care because I'm driving inside the car, so I can't see it :-)

Good review and together with the Yaris Cross, these two are what I will be considering. ... Seems to me it will still be more elderly drivers going for this, but the facelift does look more easy on the eye compared with the initial model. Regarding the steering/lane position factor, I think a lot of drivers will be experiencing the warning steeering wobble what with the abundance of potholes seemingly everwhere now.

Owned one for just over a year and have covered 10,000 miles (SR trim not Crosstar). Mix of motorway, fast A roads, and residential roads, and it's averaged 63 mpg. Best was 69mpg. Worst was 55mpg. Surprised that first service said 20% brake wear as I use B to regenerate and slow down. Front tyres down to 5mm (I should really stop booting it off the lights due to its instant torque). Front end looks hideous. But in terms of ease of driving, comfort, and noise levels, it's one of the best cars I've owned.

A big thank you Harry for this video, i've searched for month a video that could help me to understand the dinymic of the veicle and how it goes. My only concerns are if is worth to take the crosstar over the advance sport for a more proportionate veicle against a sportier one with paddles on the steering wheel and i would like to know if the new engine of 2023 gave to the crosstar a comparable performance to the advance sport. Thank you, an hug from Italy!

The Jazz is the new Civic, and the Civic is the new Accord.
I'd still rather have the Civic, but it's something like another 10 grand for one of those.
And while the facelift does look a little better, there's no escaping the fact it'll always be a pensioner's car. It may be a better car overal than the Toyota Yaris, for instance, but oh, how I wish it looked more like that...
Edit: It's all well and good to excuse the price because of the generous standard kit, but a lot of that standard kit is stuff I could personally do without. It would be nice to have the option of getting a cheaper version instead of paying extra for stuff I don't particularly want or need.

There are very few brands selling those cars any more though because there's not a great business case for them. The Fiesta is gone, the Polo is in its final generation and a top spec Corsa will now touch the 40k mark.

It's not a mini mpv. It's just a 4/5 seat hatchback. An mpv is only multi-purpose if the boot can have extra seats or luggage space, like the original espace. I think people started calling them mpvs because of the sloping windscreen/short bonnet which makes it look like a baby espace. But no 7 seat option so not multi-purpose.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  8 месяцев назад +1

Well Honda says the seats are made from a special foam that negates the need for adjustable lumbar support and I must say they're very comfortable on a long drive. I'm not sure why no height adjustment on the passenger seat is a deal breaker for you but it's also missing on plenty of cars that are over 40k and the spare wheel has gone from nearly all new cars. Partially because car wheels are so large these days it's a packaging nightmare, partially because a lot of people aren't confident enough to change a wheel themselves but mostly because it's a liability nightmare, not only do you have the risk of someone injuring themselves but also on a hybrid if they accidentally jack into the battery it will cause a very nasty fire.
Also Honda would probably be thrilled to hear a pensioner didn't want one of their cars for once because then they might enjoy a slightly more youthful image

Honda have made a lot of great cars over the years, I think I could count on one hand the ones that could be considered beautiful though

Perhaps the Jazz is not a beauty, but it is certainly a car that is very, very good.
There are still people who choose a car by appearance, a "beautiful" car. A car is not an object to look at 🧐 but to drive!
And as for choosing by appearance: I once did. My first wife. She was "traded in" a long time ago.

@@dickschuurman4684 I do like Honda as a brand, excellent engineering. I’d never buy a ugly car, it’s a mixture of looks, value and capability for me. A bit like your choice in a partner I suppose. (Joke). I drive a 2016 Honda Civic. And a few others.

Well i agree that this little Jaz MPV is a great little car but as with the Toyota Cross, there is no way you can accept a nearly 30,000 pound price. With that money i can pick up a 2 year old E Class Estate. They have to do better with their small cars. They have to realise that 30,000 pounds is a lot of money.

No one buys them for 30k though, they buy them for X amount a month with a 4k deposit/trade in
