This will be a magical games for Simone and Ledecky to have their goodbye in front of the home fans, that's something nobody will want to miss out on. Look at how the French crowds have erupted every time one of their own competes at every event. I'm dead sure as long as they're not injured they'll be there.
I think Simone might want to retire at home. She wants to say goodbye in front of her home crowd. Who wouldn't?
I hope I can go to see it. I'm thinking about coming to America for the L.A. Olympics. But it will cost a lot of money. I have to get a place to stay, I have to rent a car, get groceries, then I have to buy the tickets.
Do you know if they have like a season pass? Like you pay one set of money and you have access to all the events or do you have to buy tickets individually.
I think so too, this is a huge opportunity for her to retire in front of the home fans. I think if the next games weren't at home, she would've hung it up right here, but there's a chance to have a big swan song and get that big standing ovation in front of the audience after her final performance. I think that's why Katie Ledecky said she's going to race too. Michael Phelps talked about not having that opportunity to ever race in the Olympics in front of his home fans and how much it would've meant to do so. They have to take advantage of it.
I would love to go myself and record the events, but it'll be difficult because I'll need to cover them from home. It's very expensive to travel and have the money to get through everyday out there. At least there's 4 years to plan, though. Which country do you live in right now? Were you originally from America? I lived in Canada for a few years, but I'm from America and still live here.
That's a great question, I think they do have a season pass like that because I have to believe the people who travel to the Olympics have to have some type of package they pay for so they can afford the tickets as well.
@@retrowarehouse2554 Yeah I think lots of American athletes will retire in front of the home crowd. I think Simone wants to go out on top the way Usain Bolt.
I'm from the Caribbean so I really would like to go. I know lots of Caribbean ppl will go up for that Olympics. It will be like London 2012. I don't want the Olympics to come so close and not go. I don't know if it will ever come this close again.
I hope they have a season pass because I want to go to the events. I was talking to my cousin and she told me that we should only go to the finals. We could watch the qualifications on TV at home which makes sense, that would be the better thing to do. I kinda already have mapped out the events I wanna see. I wanna see the gymnastics for sure and the track and field. I think I might also want to see the cycling but other than that I will be enjoying the city. Yes it might be expensive but it will bring amazing memories ones that will last a lifetime.
