She extends everything and takes risks. I've been loving her since Rio. Her beam routine from Rio is still one of my favorites.
Well, one important part that was lost in the translation; she said that she LOST ALL THE LIGAMENTS IN HER ANKLE!!! DAMN!!! How scary can be that??? 😱😱😱 I'm glad she found such a competent doctor able to perform such a surgery allowing ehr to compete again!!1

É interessante porque tanto a Flavinha como a Rebeca não era mais para estar fazendo ginástica artística, ainda mais nesse nível porque as duas tiveram várias lesões graves que o retorno delas desafia o corpo humano! E também temos que dar os parabéns para a medicina esportiva do Brasil se reinventando quando todos dizem que não tem mais solução, claro que a força de vontade é a resiliência das duas para voltar a fazer o esporte que amam também somam! Fiquei mais tranquilo com essa entrevista, só acho que seria melhor ela não participar dessa final do solo, precisamos dela 110 % em Paris 2024.
Wow. I had a major knee injury in 2008, and had 75% of my knee liagaments & tendons replaced with sections of my hamstring, which is more common nowadays, so it's cool to hear of someone having something similarly innovative done!
He's the brazilian team orthopedist. This medical specialty here in Brazil can do both clinical and surgical medical assistance (I don't know how it works in other countries). So, he's able to perform/indicate conservative treatments and he's also able to identify injuries that must be treated surgically when going abroad with the athletes.

Personally, I fell in love with with in Rio & root for her. I actually pick her, then Rebeca as my favorite Brazilian gymnast.
