As excited as I am about Barbosu coming to Stanford, I'm so nervous about how she'll be recieved. I've already seen so many nasty comments under post covering her commiting to Stanford. People seem to think Jordan has personal beef with Ana and want her to "destroy" Ana in a competition (that is in a completely different scoring system, so it doesn't mak sense to begin with). I just hope the gymternet understands that what happened wasn't Ana's fault and they'll be kind to her
It’s more the racist posts she’s made on instagram…
spencer ❤❤
love Gymcastic as a lifelong Gymnastics fan though more for international elite World Cup/World Championships/Olympics etc. Believe the Compulsories were dropped after either 1996 or 2000 Olympics can't remember which the furthest between a Gold Medalist and a Bronze Medalist in Women's individual all around in the perfect 10 era was .66 between Nadia Comaneci and Ludmilla Tourischeva in 1976 Nadia's score was 79.28 and Ludmilla's score was 78.625 or for ex Simone's average score over the 4 events in individual all around is 60.8 from the two Olympics she won the Gold Medal at Rio 2016 and Paris 2024
I actually feel as if the handspring pike half is scored less strictly than the Y1.5 - the chest seems low on the landing for A LOT of the handspring pike halves.
Funny when Selena was at UCLA she was ur #1 target for criticizing her scores. Now she’s at FL & had by the far the most controversial beam score and u ignore that (SO ODD).One of the biggest gymternet stories this wk & how FL was overscored and not a peep from u guys. Instead Chae’s(UCLA) beam routine is ur target now. Make this make sense! Disappointing
