@@tonystoccoYou have a very refreshing take on music and Straykids is the perfect group for you as most people who love KPop just go for the bubble gum aspect but then l shouldn’t generalise here as the music is changing with some exciting new sounds emerging It’s just a shame that Korea wasn’t ready for them when they Straykids debuted
The thing that makes me the happiest about your reactions is that you notice A LOT of sounds that we don't even notice, which makes them go kinda unappreciated... But you do appreciate them, and I feel like the Stray Kids members will just feel soooo happy about their work being recognized like that
For Slash, 3RACHA wrote all the lyrics. Composition by 3RACHA and VERSACHOI; arranged by Bang Chan and VERSACHOI. VERSACHOI is an in-house producer at their company that they've worked with quite often since 2019. He's the same age as Bang Chan and they're good friends. Alongside 3RACHA, he's co-produced so many of their songs, and they're often fan-favourites. So far, you'd also know him from his work on Cheese, Domino, Red Lights, Surfin', Wolfgang, Mountains, and Runners. A lot of Stays consider him almost an honourary member of the group at this point haha
SLASH is a super example for this thought of mine: QUEEN did arrange their songs as rock operas, Stray Kids arrange their songs as full on movies. Bang Chan says, he is a very visual person, with a vivid imagination. I think he has a visual picture of the song in his mind and creates the songs like a symphony that tells a whole story just by sounds. Paired with his well trained ear and being a stickler for details, you can be sure that nothing in these songs is pure coincidence but carefully crafted in endless nights, in which he rather produces music than sleep (even this theme is beautifully perpetuated in the song "Up all night" - certainly with a matching funny MV...)
@@tonystocco have you taken a dive into the lore? When idiosyncratic (sp) mentioned Chan's attention to detail, it reminded me of the SKZ lore...It's a whole other rabbit hole!
You are now one of my favourite reactors. You have appreciated them as musicians. Watching you makes me even prouder calling myself a stay. This is coming from someone who is stuck in 80s rock bands music.
@@tonystocco If you like 80's music, I very Hiiiiiighly suggest a kpop soloist known as KEY, part of a very iconic kpop group SHINee. KEY does 80s, and i'd start with Bad Love!
I was going to say that these videos are often title "INTRO" to different albums and not always behind (they are usually released before and sometimes shortly after an album release). They have one for ATE and I think 3 for 5-STAR (their full album from last year). I do think you'd enjoy them! Also, awesome videos. It's been so nice to relive my first encounters with skz's music through you, and your takes on them are really refreshing! The surprise was great too.
Love the "it's so good it's disgusting" look on your face. And thank you for the very pleasant surprise of reacting to an M/V! Fun fact, Marvel didn't know that Ryan and Hugh were in this
@@tonystocco funny enough you have that in common with one of their producers/leader of the band BangChan, we all know that if he has a face as if it's disgusting he is loving the song 😂
@@Pao.sky31 LOL...I call it "Chan's stink face"...because he looks like he just smelled something stinky....but that IS the way we know he's lovin' it!
Dude!!! I didn't realize how much I was missing in Skz music until watching your reactions. Just bought new headphones bcs you made me feel like I was missing out on the sounds, and it was 100% confirmed. Soooo many sounds and vibrations that my earbuds didn't convey like the new headphones. It's like listening to them for the first time all over again. Thanks!!!
Amazing!!!! One tip for optimal sound in headphones --- always listen to the audio using your streaming service of choice (Apple Music, Spotify, etc) to get the best sound. I think some of the details are lost when they get posted to RUclips.
Me too!! There are some sounds he mentioned that I've never heard and even though he rewind the song I still couldn't listen to them, so I will buy my first pair of real headphones to listen to Skz as if it's the first time again. Thanks so much!
It seems you are already going deeper and deeper into the black whole of Stray Kids. And the SURPRISE?! That was epic and did not see that coming 😅 After i watch your videos I go and listen to each and every song again and really noticing all the details you pointed out. And its one of those "once you hear it, you are not able to unhear it" and I absolutely love it! Keep it coming please 🙏
Same!! I’ve been listening to these songs for a while now and I love that he’s pointing out things I’ve never really heard before! It’s like listening to them for the first time all over again! ❤
Honestly, Every Time you smile listening to SKZ, I do a happy wiggle. I adore how much you understand their musicality. Your quiet joy, brings me the utmost joy, because you get it lol. Also, if you've never heard/reacted to Thom Yorke "Bloom" live... you'd melt. Your reactions always give me that vibe... someone just melting into the sound!
Dare I say you are witnessing them in their prime. Years for many of them (and over a decade of hard work for leader Bang Chan) to get to this point in their careers. Late hours and many sacrifices made. Giving up their families and normal teen lives to harness their skills and pour everything into their craft. No guarantee of success- just their driven hunger for exploring artistic expression and human connection.
Since you did us the honor of a video - here is a mini intro for the new babyStay to put the 'voices' with the faces: - There are eight members: 11:17 Bang Chan, 10:2111:34 Lee Know, 10:34 Changbin, 11:25 Hyunjin, 10:27 Han, 10:22 Felix, 10:5012:23 Seungmin and 10:4412:17 I.N - "3Racha", the self producer team of SKZ [ Chan, 11:58 Changbin, & 12:53 Han] write, arrange & produce pretty much every song for the group. The others are following in their footsteps. Their music videos are all amazing, love to explore new sides & genres of music & there are a lot of them. Their directors, editors, choreographers/dancers, stylists, staffers, all are top tier S-class professionals. - 12:42 Chan & 12:32 Felix are Korean Aussies, fluent English speakers. All members are bilingual, understands English, Korean, Japanese, it's their speaking fluency levels are just different. 🖖🏽Looking forward to the next one.. 😁
@tonystocco I just wanted to add beside 3Racha there are 2 other subgroups Danceracha and Vocalracha So you asked... Do they do chorography? YES! That would be the Danceracha!
I'm sure someone has said this before, but Bang Chan, the leader of the group, handpicked each member. Kind of unusual as most groups are formed by the company. He had an extensive training period of 7 years. He was 13 or was it 14 when he moved from Australia to Korea. He took that time and learned everything he could, including production.
I love how you find all these details in the production and sound and how you understand and appreciate their music. Chan would be happy if he saw your reactions :) I love the surprise! Can't wait to see more :)
I enjoyed your reaction to SLASH! I've lost count how many times I've listened to it. 3Racha are just such amazing writing, composition and production geniuses.
Oh man okay so THIS SONG. I love how crisp sounding their voices and the beginning instrumentation is, added with how bass-y it is, and the way you can feel it in your chest but also it sounds like the song is inSIDE your brain. I also love some of the vocal effects they use towards the beginning of the song where it makes it sound like...a huge empty space in a way? But not super echo-y. Just adds something slighty eerie to the sound. Especially in Changbin's "drop it" right after Felix's verse. Also love how much empty space there is in the song in general. Obviously there are certain moments where it's like sensory overload lol, but especially at the beginning it's very "less is more" both in terms of the track, and in terms of the space given between rap lines. That intro, Felix absolutely killed it. One of my fav rap verses from him for sure. Also love the contrast in how crisp and bass-y the beginning of the track is and then the switch into the SUPER airy and minimal start of the pre-chorus. Plus just the whole VIBE of the song is so brilliantly done. To me it gives this feeling (especially in the bridge section) like you're being hunted, and you're surrounded by shadows and all you can see is the eyes of some kind of predator animal reflecting back at you before they pounce lol. Edit: Wait omg a TWO FOR ONE?? I hadn't finished watching before I wrote this ahahahaha I was wondering why there was still so much of the video left 😂
You explained my thoughts exactly and everything I like about Slash, this is also my fave Felix rap verse🤌🖤 Ever since I heard it I randomly go "Gwiyeowo (not sure if that's how it's spelled but cute basically) pat" 😂😂
This song is so underrated, I forgot where I watched it, but Bang Chan said this was something they had already prepared for DP in case they ever got the opportunity. Ryan asked them if they had a song that would fit and they gave it to him. They were gonna be in the movie as well but it just didn’t work out 😭 the surprise of Chk Chk Boom mv. I didn’t know if you’d dive into their MVs at all 🔥🖤 Ryan said Marvel didn’t know they even did this, obviously they do now. Filmed in NYC, SKZ MVs are expensive, ooooh they post “the making of” videos for their MVs all the time and we even get them for albums and songs which would be cool for you to see.
I’ve had this song on repeat for weeks now. There are so many sounds in it that are just so satisfying to me. Legit obsessed with the “shing” sword sound they make
Headphones for SKZ is a must. It’s a whole experience, like the IMAX version of a movie. SLASH makes my brain happy. Knowing that 3Racha made this for fun with Versachoi as a gift for Ryan, & then he wanted it in the Soundtrack is so sweet. I love their friendship/fanship. Mutual respect & admiration between Ryan & SKZ.
So glad you've discovered our favorite group! Your facial reactions to their sound and "sounds" are a ton of fun to watch - since we STAYs have already had those same reactions. The best TMI about the video is that Marvel had no idea Ryan Reynolds had taken the suit to wear in this video!!!! Enjoy the ride - you're just getting started.
You listen to Stray Kids the same way I do-fascinated by all the little details and weird ass sounds 😹 I am really enjoying listening to you pick their songs apart. I bet you and Bang Chan could talk for DAYS about their production process! I’ll definitely be checking out your other videos as well, because my favorite genres of music are metal, EDM, and Stray Kids 🤘😝
With him I hear things that leave me like "What?" "Really there was such a sound?" It's really impressive that he is so attentive to sounds, a professional like him makes me love Stray Kids' songs more
How fun with the surprise m/v reaction! I love that you really seem to appreciate their music, so I hope you find their appeal as performers, too! I love their m/v's for so many reasons, but am also grateful because (despite the multiple scenes) they always have a central focus - so I don't experience the slight nauseating effect that shuffled scenes from MTV hits used to give me...
Another amazing thing that you will find as you watch their videos is that they somehow sync the music, the video visuals, the choreography and the lyrics in the most mind boggling way. I liken it to the "which came first - the chicken or the egg" paradox because it hurts my brain to think of when or where or how the storyboarding of it all began. If that all makes sense?? Like did Chris (the leader who it's mostly behind all their beats) think "oh let me add this little odd sound or beat here and then we'll do *this* in the choreo and add *this* to the video when that part happens..." because the way they all get tied together is astounding. It really has me sometimes thinking that they may be an extremely integral part of video planning possibly as well. Along with their choreo - it actually tells the whole story as well. It is just literally a visual masterpiece to EXPERIENCE (I won't say watch or listen to or whatever bc it is truly an experience more than anything!).
14:21 they don’t typically but they have in the past. They have a member that leads dance practices and helps teach the others but mostly they work with choreographers and pick which choreography they like and adjust it to their needs. So very much involved but not the primary choreographers. Some of the dancers in the group have self choreographed pieces but that’s for a minority of songs. I think the only member to choreograph like a (sort of) title track was lee know (the dance leader and the guy who is shown first in the mv) who choreographed their pre debut track hellevator (edit: common misconception but apparently he contributed but was not the sole choreographer)
It’s not actually true that Lee Know choreographed Hellevator!! He led dance practices in their survival show but it was explicitly stated that Ali (an in house choreographer) was responsible for hellevator:) Easy mistake though because so many people just rolled with it😅
@@lorenlane1319 ahh thank you for the correction! I tried to double check it but everything I looked at confirmed it was him. I still wasn’t 100% sure tho bc why wouldn’t a person at jyp be involved so yeah that makes a lot more sense
@@lizzieheart709 Yeah he had only even been in the company just a little bit prior to the whole thing, he wouldn’t have even had the time between everything else. I think a lot of people just saw the videos of him leading the dance practice in the beginning and ran with it, but it’s an easy mistake! It was either their first showcase of it or their busking mission that labeled all the choreo credits with the writing credits during the show and it just got overlooked. As much as I love Lee Know, I hate to the hard word of the people behind the screens go unnoticed. He was very much a key part of the rehearsal and cleaning up process, but Ali, a long time dance teacher from JYP and 3 other of their in house choreographers were the actual creators🤝 For some reason when you google it a lot of random reddit and quora posts with wrong information come up which doesn’t help. ruclips.net/video/bib7IYOsTy4/видео.htmlsi=ZswWSaE56naBXFaT Timestamp 4:03!! OMG…I was JUST listening to this on my walk home from the subway. Wild. Was waiting for another full album react but SO EXCITED you decided to check out this one!! Can’t wait to listen and see what you pick up on. Edit: AHHH it was SO MUCH FUN listening to this with you!! I’m amazed (though honestly not surprised) at the number of things you pointed out that I hadn’t noticed, despite having listened to this song at least 30 times since its release-including mere minutes before clicking on this video! Edit 2: 9:02 MY MAN WITH THE SURPRISE MV(!!!). What a move. Mind-blown. Well played sir. What a perfect way to pay homage to SKZ. You are without a doubt my new favorite SKZ reactor!!! If you are in the mood to check out another MV for one of the songs you’ve heard so far, I would highly recommend the MV for Thunderous. I think it will surprise and delight you as much as the Chk Chk Boom MV (even without any MCU cameos!). Also still looking forward to the next audio-only full album reaction, or honestly whatever SKZ media you decide to check out next!! 🤘❤
Ohh thank you so much... Your reaction was perfect.. you were able to catch so many new, fresh, experimental sounds that 3Racha threw in there.. They have a clear vision of where they music should go and shove you in, right along with them. For weeks, I've been hearing that boomerang sound, but no other reactor talked about it. Love the underwater bass rumbles, then the vocal knife slashes.. and then emptiness with the final 'ting'.. ah perfect. The heavy bass/base beats..GeniusBang is on🔥. Oh, love the surprise❤🔥!! Thank you!🖖🏽
I loved the surprise MV.. SKZ's directors/editors/chorographers/set designers/stylists/etc.. are 1st rate awesome... Their MV transitions are amazing & we love to hear when people catch them. Some of them that I love, less obvious catches are like , when during the alley choreo, whenever they say 11:26 'boom', the lights flash red!! 11:44 when Han [singing] throw the spray can airborne then slaps Chan's hand & then catch the spray can - so cool, transition by a speeding Dead-Vanpool; 12:55 the Full Deadpool suit on the intersection billboard. There are so many others & I would like to see you catch even more. You can even see this attention to details on their teasers & trailers for the albums, Title tracks MVs & B-sides. 🖖🏽
They do have a bunch of behind the scenes videos on their stray kids youtube channel, even for their recording sessions. Hopefully you can take a look at those sometime! It's actually really cool to watch their recording videos.
What a fun surprise! I enjoyed watching your reaction to their video. Their videos are like mini movies! This has been fun watching you learn about the Stray Kids and what amazing talents they have! If you want to learn who is singing which part, I recommend watching a lyric video. Those really helped me when I first came across the Stray Kids. I have been listening to them for four years now and I am (almost) 50!
Thank you for the surprise!! That was so fun, you’re definitely one of my favorite reactors :) If I could recommend something I’d say it’d be interesting if you went back to their first album and start up from there just to see how much they’ve improved/ changed over time. Awesome reaction as always !
Slash is one of my favorite SKZ songs of ALL time. The production value is insane and it's so theatrical. Also, fun fact - SKZ have a pretty long friendship with Ryan Reynolds, dating back to when they did an INCREDIBLE Deadpool themed performance of their song God's Menu on a Korean music show called Kingdom. Ryan saw the performance and reached out to SKZ, and they've kept in contact ever since! If you're ever inclined to start watching SKZ's live stages, Kingdom is a great place to start, along with a bunch of their awards show performances (e.g. MAMA, GDA). Also, I love your analyses because you notice SO much! Even though I've been listening to these songs for so long, you point out new details I've never noticed and it makes me appreciate the songs even more. So glad you're diving deep into SKZ's discography and sharing your journey with us!
Slash, on repeat - such a great song - I have been obsessed with it ever since it came out. Thanks for the surprise, can’t wait to see what you discover next.
Chan also does that "stank" face when music is good btw 😂😂❤im just so happy you keep reacting to them youre so detailed in what you notice too!its very fun and interesting to watch🥳
You are giving me a new perspective and I’m loving the boys even more….im energized…..and omg you watching the video, I screamed…. You made STAYs so happy… thank you 🙏
i’m seriously experiencing these songs i’ve listened to obsessively in new ways thanks to your reaction! i’m so appreciative to be able to experience my favorites’ songs like hearing it for the first time again 💗
Big thank you 🫶 surprise was 🔥🔥🔥 When you get to their album “GO LIVE” title track there “GOD’S MENU” - iconic to watch. With that one they gained big international popularity 🤌 oh and they so good with “food theme” like cooking their staff/lyrics/music and roasting haters in the same time: the scenes with the construction site are a response to the haters that say SKZ music is loud (in Korean = construction, for workers) PS:since they released Slash - this song is the first when I go out with headphones 😅 i kind of knew you will like it 🤝🤝🤝
I really love the way you talk about yhe prodution of the songs and all the diferent sounds they used that sometimes we don't notice. By the way that was a great surprise :)
I was not prepared for the surprise music video reaction! I agree, it's so crazy that somehow all 8 of these super talented guys ended finding each other and making this group together
Another one of my absolute favorite SKZ songs, so your reaction was a joy to watch!! The BASS in this song, all the open air around these sharp sounds, and the way they use the vocals to echo the blade effects... A feast. Also the switch up??? OMG??? The gasp I gusped!! So so cool to see you react to one of their MVs! Just an FYI, the guy singing the line, "filling up my truck yeah you want that ride" while on the skyscraper is Bang Chan, the leader of the group, and the one responsible for their deliciously insane production choices. If you're interested in more MV recommendations (from the tracks you've already listened to), Red Lights & Thunderous from the NoEasy album are phenomenal and really build out the stories of those two songs. Cheese has a video as well, which is so chaotic but a goddamn delight nonetheless. From the ATE album, I think you'd find the JJAM video especially fun, as it's got a playful horror twist and some absolutely ridiculous choreo!
That is such a nice surprise! You finally able to see the members.. love your reaction as always.. literally w8ing for your next Stray Kids reactions ❤
This was such a good surprise! I love slash and what I personally find really interesting is that 3racha (the main producing team in the group) already had the song when they got asked if there was a song that might fit. They had just decided to make something Deadpool themed as a fun song idea.
ALL of their videos are as methodically chaotic as their music. Pretty sure other STAYs have said this, but the leader Chris/Bang Chan hand picked each one of the members in Stray Kids. As well as the name and logo :}
one of many other things i love about your videos is the way you made me notice sounds i haven't really noticed after listening to them so many times before (i really had to grab huge headphones to watch your videos). the attention to music and honest opinion is what i've been looking for for so long and i'm so glad i found your channel. much love from stray kids fan and a big tool enjoyer
14:42 the way I giggled but real bc it wouldn't surprise me either😂😂😂😂 I saw a clip of you reacting to SKZ on Twitter and had to check you out because you appreciate their music and notice things that a lot of us miss even after listening to their songs multiple times😅 Like the cellphone thing you caught idk how I never noticed it until now🤌
I was a little nervous before I first listened to this because I feel like songs for soundtracks often compromise an artist's sound or vision but I love it SO MUCH. I love that they made it a song that fit the movie and was absolutely SKZ to the ground. I also feel like they wrote it knowing it was gonna be heard in dolby surround in a theater and took FULL advantage. It's just phenomenal.
I loved the surprise of you reacting to the Chk Chk Boom mv because I'd love you to see the others too. My favorites are Thunders, God's Menu, Case 143, Maniac, CHEESE and a few others because Stray Kids only makes quality music videos
14:24 To answer your questions they are mostly involved in the music aspect, composing arranging and writing is completely them (mainly 3racha (Chan, Han and Changbin) They don't do the literal directing of the videos, though😂 (with a few exceptions) And as for choreography, they dont make it from scratch (most of the time), but they do have a lot of say in the final product Overall they're veryyy hard working and soo talented! Loving these reactions from you and looking forward to seeing more!
Only kpop star I know who does the literal directing of his music videos (which are mind-boggling!!) Is DPR IAN. His most recent one Saint is......a masterpiece.
I loved your comments, I loved this video (as always), I was literally waiting and checking my notifications because I was so impatient to watch another Stray Kids reactions of you haha, and I'm really happy about this surprise, I wasn't excepting you to watch a M/V already. I hope you will surprise us even more, maybe? lol Can't wait to see your next Stray Kids analyses :)
I love Slash, its such a good song and now i love it even more. I really enjoy your reactions, i personally tend to listen to the music as a whole and it's difficult to me to identify different sounds and effects so your ability to do so and your approach to music really facinates me, it helps me to discover a whole new aspect of the songs and makes me appreciate the music even more. Also i really loved the surprise mv reaction hahaha
Usually one of the members (Lee Know) is involved with the choreography since his a professional dancer even before being a kpop idol so yes, they do almost everything hahaha
So (pleasantly) surprised you picked Slash next, it’s in my top 5 SKZ songs at present. Somehow I had missed the sword swishing sounds so thanks. You catch so much it’s fascinating. Nice bonus MV. I read somewhere that Chan does throw sounds in as the song develops in a nod to what will happen in the music video, like the van swish sounds during Hans rap. Fun video, thanks.
I was so excited that you added an MV reaction to subvert us all! I am a bit of a granny stay being a ripe old 38 years of age and I have found your reaction videos so good because you appreciate the elements that brought me to kpop and skz specifically - hearing their breakbeat/drum and bass sections were like meeting old friends again. Stray Kids are a very talented group of young men who continue to delight with their immense skills and range. I liked when you were discussing The View (I think it was) on No Easy you mentioned you could imagine everyone with their lighters in the air. I totally get that vibe - except they have lightsticks now! Same thing different generation
I was already super happy with the Slash reaction, but the surprise just made my day! Thanks from a metal-fan STAY for your reaction an attention to details as always!
I'm so happy you listened to this! I had a lot of the same reactions when I first listened to this, and actually I needed to listen like 5 times to actually process any of what I was hearing. They also have a song on the Arcane season 2 soundtrack, I can't wait for that to be out!
Yoo this is one of my favorite songs of theirs recently! I’ve been listening to it on repeat lol Love your reactions! Seeing you appreciate their music is something that inspired me to go back and relisten to their albums myself, and there’s always something new to discover in their production! I’m looking forward to your exploring SKZ’s other albums as well! I rediscovered them last summer after taking a break from kpop, and their 5-Star album really drew me in. As for requests, after you’ve listened to a good bit of their music, you should definitely check out some of their MVs, especially to the songs you particularly enjoyed, producing behind the scenes, and solo work! In particular Felix’s song “Deep End” and Hyunjin’s various dance covers like play with fire and his AOTM performance are great and had me in a chokehold for a good part of last year lolol. There’s a lot to explore when it comes to SKZ, but my best advice is take your time and enjoy what you want to enjoy! Peace ✌️
Oooo love that you finally showed watching a video because you appreciate the music so much it makes me want you to see them in mv and live because they get even cooler with stage presence and their dancing and visuals. Definitely surprised me love the reacts!!!!
They do have some videos (called street videos) from their earlier years that they filmed, but largely they don’t film their own music videos lol. Street videos are all known as iconic bits of skz history.
I don't usually subscribed reactors, but this one is different. I really like your reaction because I can see myself in you when I heard stray kids' songs too
Okay now that I finished the bonus video as well, I can answer a couple things you mentioned! The members don't make the choreography for the vast majority of their dances, they have other choreographers that they work with! However, the three members of the dance unit (Hyunjin, Felix, and Lee Know) all have made choreography for other projects before 😊 We also sometimes see in behind-the-scenes content some of the members making small changes to the choreography's if they have a new idea. In terms of other production for the music video, noooo they are not behind the camera and lighting and such! They're very talented in many ways...But yeah, no, HUGE team of people behind the music videos they put out! And the members are always very mindful to give credit where credit is due to all the many people who help put together the polished final product we see on screen. They have a behind-the-scenes video for one of their other music video's called "LALALALA" that actually showed some of the process the staff goes through with story boarding and set contruction and many other things. The sheer level of planning is insane. Very cool to see some of the people behind the scenes work their magic though so I'm so glad they decided to include that aspect too, rather than just the members involvement in the process.
I think you would really enjoy their recording sessions, each album they do a behind the scenes where you can actually watch them recording and see how exacting and talented they all are but especially how they are behind the scenes while carrying out the recording process themselves. Theres also a live or two from bangchan showing how he goes about making a song. I reckon you would really enjoy those!
As a metal head. I cannot WAIT for you to hear battleground. This song is on their Japanese album -The Sound. Keep it in mind. I headbang to this song it’s so good. They opened a concert with it too. With fireworks and jumping over people. Just crazy good.
Slash is such an amazing and interesting song, tickles my brain which I listen to it!! Loved that you added the Chk Chk Boom MV to this reaction!!! The more you find out about Stray Kids, the more you become a fan from their talents to their personalities, this group is one of a kind!! Thanks for continuing to react to them!! Us Stays show up!!
Sadly a lot of people miss where Slash appears in the Deadpool Wolverine movie. They used the very beginning, so it's quiet & barely heard. It's where Wade steps outside to talk to the agents during the party. You can just barely hear Felix's voice through the door. And some of the sounds they used in Slash are so good. Like the whooshing of a blade slicing through the air, or the end fight scene (implied) with slow motion sounds....Like we can imagine the visual effect during the song. So well made. So glad you watched a MV for one of the songs....Now all you have to do is watch a lyric video to understand what they are saying. (Watching with subtitles is kinda distracting with the Music Video behind it) They have such a way with words, and they tend to play on homophones. (Words in other languages that sound the same, but mean different things.) Like with their song JJAM. They were using jam, (the edible spread) jam session (Musical or dance, just getting together & jamming) and the Korean word for fun (jaemi) with differing lvls of inflection in the song. They have a song called Any, and they use a play on the English word & the Korean word aniyo. (which means no in Korean) They have incorporated Korean, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Chinese into their songs over the years. They pack so much into their lyrics. And we, as non-native Korean speakers, miss a good bit of their wordplay. I will, again, say that you might like to actually listen to their musical growth by listening to their albums in order. They have grown so much & experimented with so may things, it's wonderful to hear. And you might like watching the album Intro videos that they make. They talk about their thoughts & feelings that are put into each song. And we get behind the scenes of them directing the recordings.
I know nothing about production but watching your videos has made me go back and listen to their songs again to pick up on more layers and it's like getting to enjoy it for the first time all over again! Thanks so much for this. Also, smooth switching up to chk chk booms mv, well played.
Ohhh I love your reactions so much, because I notice a lot of things that I didn't notice before in the songs and your reactions are so honest and good ❤ I recently discovered your videos and I'm binge-watching them. Slash is a masterpiece that I've been listening to for a long time, seriously I went crazy when this song came out and even though I've listened to it 1001 times, every time I discover something different AKAKAKAKAKAKA I would recommend you to watch the lose my breath live video, where they show off their vocal range a lot.
Hey :) just wanted to say that I love your videos on Stray Kids, your notice soo much things I din`t until now and I love how you analyse their songs. This deserves a chef kiss🤌!
I love your reactions..... Since you are praising SKZ for their music so much, wouldn't you like to know more about them and look into a SKZ guide from 2024, a longer one, cause only the longer ones do them justice. They are long but worth watching and very informative. Greetings from Germany 🌸🙂
Hello! I've been loving your videos. As some one who grew up with a father raised on Led Zeppelin, you point out everything I crave to hear in music and the reason I listen to Stray Kids. I never had the exact reasons but you put these feelings into language so beautifully. Since you like the weird ass noises, I think you'd love P1Harmony. Thank you for letting listen to Stray Kids for the first time with you. Incredible work here
Omg I was so pleasantly surprised by your music video reaction!! I love love love how much you notice within the music, it makes me appreciate their craft so much more!!
The bass on this shakes the windows in my car 😂 yay more mv reactions please, their videos are insane. Some of your favs that you listened to already w mvs... Thunderous Red Lights Cheese Jjam
As a rather longtime Stay I would like to thank you for making me discovering new parts of/in their music. Slash is a banger, and you're in for a treat when digging into their discography. Their music, singing, dancing, MV's, live performances are of another level. Apart from that a group of most wholesome, polite, humble anf goofy guys and on the other hand hard working perfectionsts constantly improving their craft. You might like; The Tortoise and The Hare, Freeze, Venom, Megaverse, S-Class, Super Bowl, Easy. Enjoy😊
I'm obsessed with how much you notice! Such a great dissection and appreciation of music!
Oh thank you!
Thank you Jennifer
The thing that makes me the happiest about your reactions is that you notice A LOT of sounds that we don't even notice, which makes them go kinda unappreciated... But you do appreciate them, and I feel like the Stray Kids members will just feel soooo happy about their work being recognized like that
Thank you! Their music has so many elements in a single song it's fun to try and find them on the first listen. (But I miss 90% of it)
For Slash, 3RACHA wrote all the lyrics.
Yes! I definitely agree stay should give versachoi his flowers and recognition
YES! I was thinking of Queen too - obviously Bohemian Rhapsody with its unconventional sound and construction.
Ooh up all night would be an awesome Halloween suggestion for someone to watch given the wardrobing.
I'll literally fight anyone who disses 80s music.
@@tonystocco If you like 80's music, I very Hiiiiiighly suggest a kpop soloist known as KEY, part of a very iconic kpop group SHINee.
KEY does 80s, and i'd start with Bad Love!
They have a lot of videos of their studio recordings and production process too. I think you’d love those.
Oh this is true! They are “behind or recording” of albums
If you want to know the magic behind their songs I'll recommend watching them, you can react to it or even watch on your own if you want to 😊
Maybe the behind/intros of ATE might be a good starting point for those?
💯
I was going to say that these videos are often title "INTRO" to different albums and not always behind (they are usually released before and sometimes shortly after an album release). They have one for ATE and I think 3 for 5-STAR (their full album from last year). I do think you'd enjoy them!
Also, awesome videos. It's been so nice to relive my first encounters with skz's music through you, and your takes on them are really refreshing! The surprise was great too.
Love the "it's so good it's disgusting" look on your face. And thank you for the very pleasant surprise of reacting to an M/V! Fun fact, Marvel didn't know that Ryan and Hugh were in this
I do that a lot with Stray Kids. Can't help it.

@@tonystocco so exited for ur next reactions 🔥❤
Follow Up: You don't know how much joy this comment gives me.
That was epic and did not see that coming 😅
After i watch your videos I go and listen to each and every song again and really noticing all the details you pointed out. And its one of those "once you hear it, you are not able to unhear it" and I absolutely love it! Keep it coming please 🙏
So nice of you to say that. Thank you!
Same!! I’ve been listening to these songs for a while now and I love that he’s pointing out things I’ve never really heard before! It’s like listening to them for the first time all over again! ❤
Slash is an EXPERIENCE - loved your reaction and take on the production! Thank you for the surprise that was so exciting! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Slash had me by the throat from the first listen. The bass is just filthy and I love cranking up the volume in the car.
I know Thom Yorke and Radiohead, but don't know that song. I'll have a listen thank you.
@@tonystocco if you like radiohead, Seungmin did a beautiful live cover of High and Dry (you can find it searching “Seungmin song by: high and dry” :)
Since you did us the honor of a video - here is a mini intro for the new babyStay to put the 'voices' with the faces:
- There are eight members: 11:17 Bang Chan, 10:21 11:34 Lee Know, 10:34 Changbin, 11:25 Hyunjin, 10:27 Han, 10:22 Felix, 10:50 12:23 Seungmin and 10:44 12:17 I.N
- "3Racha", the self producer team of SKZ [ Chan, 11:58 Changbin, & 12:53 Han] write, arrange & produce pretty much every song for the group.
Hope this gets boosted
@@elle_g29same this is great info for a baby stay
Thank you very much!
YES, the low part you can "feel instead of hear" - I'm obsessed with it and you described it so well! Great reaction, thank you!
Thank you!
I enjoyed your reaction to SLASH! I've lost count how many times I've listened to it. 3Racha are just such amazing writing, composition and production geniuses.
I totally agree!
🤣
You explained my thoughts exactly and everything I like about Slash, this is also my fave Felix rap verse🤌🖤
Ever since I heard it I randomly go "Gwiyeowo (not sure if that's how it's spelled but cute basically) pat" 😂😂
Legit obsessed with the “shing” sword sound they make
"Baby STAY" Tony! You are so much fun to watch! I'm happy to follow you on your journey.
Thanks so much
Headphones for SKZ is a must.
While they don't physically shoot the video they are TOTALLY in charge of the vision they want to express as with every aspect of what is SKZ.
Lee Know didnt but He was very involved in the process of the hellevator choreo❤
Thank you!🖖🏽
There's a lot of components to that song. It's incredible.
I chuckled my way through this video, just going "I know, sick right??" over and over
They do have a bunch of behind the scenes videos on their stray kids youtube channel, even for their recording sessions. Hopefully you can take a look at those sometime! It's actually really cool to watch their recording videos.
What a fun surprise! I enjoyed watching your reaction to their video. Their videos are like mini movies! This has been fun watching you learn about the Stray Kids and what amazing talents they have!

Big thank you 🫶 surprise was 🔥🔥🔥
When you get to their album “GO LIVE” title track there “GOD’S MENU” - iconic to watch. With that one they gained big international popularity 🤌 oh and they so good with “food theme” like cooking their staff/lyrics/music and roasting haters in the same time: the scenes with the construction site are a response to the haters that say SKZ music is loud (in Korean = construction, for workers)
PS:since they released Slash - this song is the first when I go out with headphones 😅 i kind of knew you will like it 🤝🤝🤝
I really love the way you talk about yhe prodution of the songs and all the diferent sounds they used that sometimes we don't notice. By the way that was a great surprise :)
I appreciate that!
9:29 A La Stray Kids style! Unpredictable!😂
🎯 Predictability is boring!
This was such a good surprise! I love slash and what I personally find really interesting is that 3racha (the main producing team in the group) already had the song when they got asked if there was a song that might fit. They had just decided to make something Deadpool themed as a fun song idea.
4:35 I imagined a boomerang flying through the air 😁
Me too... boomerang... those Aussies... 🖖🏽
@@Resistance_Is_Futile1of3 Exactly 😃
ALL of their videos are as methodically chaotic as their music. Pretty sure other STAYs have said this, but the leader Chris/Bang Chan hand picked each one of the members in Stray Kids. As well as the name and logo :}
one of many other things i love about your videos is the way you made me notice sounds i haven't really noticed after listening to them so many times before (i really had to grab huge headphones to watch your videos). the attention to music and honest opinion is what i've been looking for for so long and i'm so glad i found your channel. much love from stray kids fan and a big tool enjoyer

Wish I could see you react to seeing their production credits hahaha 3 of the members produce most of the songs, love these videos thanks man
I was a little nervous before I first listened to this because I feel like songs for soundtracks often compromise an artist's sound or vision but I love it SO MUCH.

I absolutely love Slash. Thank you for checking out the video. It is a nice one.
14:24 To answer your questions they are mostly involved in the music aspect, composing arranging and writing is completely them (mainly 3racha (Chan, Han and Changbin)
They don't do the literal directing of the videos, though😂 (with a few exceptions)
And as for choreography, they dont make it from scratch (most of the time), but they do have a lot of say in the final product
Overall they're veryyy hard working and soo talented!

Loved the music video surprise! Right on point with the unexpected energy that SKZ have! 😊
Thank you! and I agree the breakbeats/drum and bass are irresistible.
It's my understanding that they have choreographer that submit their work and Stray Kids pick the pieces they want.
slash deserved to be a title track 🥲
Yoo this is one of my favorite songs of theirs recently! I’ve been listening to it on repeat lol
Love your reactions!
I reckon you would really enjoy those!
the surprise at the end made me so happy! Thanks for including! Really love your reactions and reviews and excited for more.
What an unexpected surprise! Thank you
YESSS mv reaction!!
Def should listen to their first full album “In Life” 17 songs!
Ohhh I love your reactions so much, because I notice a lot of things that I didn't notice before in the songs and your reactions are so honest and good ❤
I recently discovered your videos and I'm binge-watching them. Slash is a masterpiece that I've been listening to for a long time, seriously I went crazy when this song came out and even though I've listened to it 1001 times, every time I discover something different AKAKAKAKAKAKA
I would recommend you to watch the lose my breath live video, where they show off their vocal range a lot.
I’m glad you appreciate this song. I LOVE Slash! The sounds in it are incredible!

Slash is a banger, and you're in for a treat when digging into their discography.
Their music, singing, dancing, MV's, live performances are of another level.
