I’m a kitchen and laundry appliance contractor and the ONLY dishwasher I recommend is Bosch, hands down! The Frigidaire will fail with 5 years (control panel), and the Kitchen Aid will fail at less than 5 years with a defective circulation pump. Buy a Bosch and you’re assured of 10-15 years of trouble-free service.
just bought my first home and got a kitchenaid washer, it is absolutely fantastic, super quiet, washing my dishes perfectly, my wife stood next to it and said she couldnt tell if it was on or not
My first KitchenAid was great. I moved and bought another one for the new house. It was a piece of crap. Buying home appliances is a gamble these days.
I’ve owned 2 Bosch dishwashers, and not the cheaper ones. The first lasted 10 years. I replaced it with a $1200 Bosh and it worked great till it didn’t. 4 years old and a e07 code pops up. That’s a fan failure. The Bosh service guy is coming out Monday and it’s going to cost around $500. Almost HALF the cost of the appliance. Not happy at all and the Bosh warranty sucks.
Well, it is 3 out of 3. The info I have gleaned from my own appliance repairman, Consumer Reports and now Boulevard Home all say Bosch. I am gun-shy about purchasing a Bosch appliance. Several years ago I purchased a Bosch washing machine and out of the gate is was defective, every part including the electronics board was replaced within the 1st year under warranty---hated the thing.
I'm pretty sure that was my dad's wedding vows to my mother: "I DON'T CARE ABOUT QUIET. I CARE ABOUT HOW WELL IT CLEANS". To think, I could have possibly not been conceived if my dad had just bought a dishwasher instead....
i have a Frigidaire currently. Its not this particular one, but the thing just doesnt clean at all. It came with the house I bought, but at only 3 years old and MSRP of over $1,000 i expected MUCH more.
I have this exact model Frigidaire, came with the house and was only 2 years old. The orbiting wash arm failed at 3 years, went with a standard 3 arm and it did just as good. However it's at about 5 years of life now and it's just not cleaning well at all, and I take the filter screen out and clean it pretty regularly.
What about the infamous door leak seal issue that I keep hearing about. Is this just a batch of those manufactured or an ongoing issue that Bosch has not addressed?
Pro tip: dont get an 18 in dishwasher wveif your space is limited. They offer fewer features than the same version in 24inch. I have a brand new bosch 800 series 18in. Its rack dont have the adjusters nor does it pop open after cycle completes
Oh no. Never buy an LG dishwasher and this is coming from an LG fan. I purchased new 2 years broken several times in that time and now has to be replaced because the parts are more expensive to purchase than go and buy something new..... 😢
I spent 1300 dollars on a top of the line LG. Piece of shitte died after 13 months. I bought an old GE with buttons on the front for 75 bucks. It cleans 🧼 like a champ. Kicks the ass of that overpriced, efficient garbage.
Eh...weak list. No mention of LG, Miele, or Whirlpool, or GE, all of which also are some of the best and in the case of LG, Miele and Whirpool some of the most reliable (Bosch was mentioned, but no mention of Thermador...).
"Dishwasher saves energy." You're telling me a dishwasher uses less energy than the light bulb above my sink that I turn on for the duration of me handwashing my dishes? Huh?
Energy usage will depend on lots of factors such as the method you use to hand wash your dishes, but often times dishwashers can be more energy efficient because it takes lots of energy to heat up your water, so if you have it running while you hand wash--which many people do--you could be using a lot of energy that way. Today's efficient dishwashers can run an entire cycle on only a few gallons of water and very minimal electricity, potentially saving energy. We actually are working on a video comparing the two, so stay tuned for that!
You had me until the kitchenAid the glorified whirlpool with a kitchenAid handle. Costco is coming to get this piece of overpriced junk out of my house. The 3rd rack is so big it makes the 2nd rack useless. It’s a gimmick that does not work in the real world. Had 2 run it twice to get clean glasses and the door is so cheap is flexes when you open it.
You know what drives me bonkers? No? Well I'll tell you anyway because this is the interwebs! Reviewers and manufacturers who do not tell you how many gallons the appliance uses on a load of dishes. Seeing as spraying water around is the ONLY function of the thing, you would think this would be an easy number to find.
Bosch Dishwashers? All kidding aside, worst god damn dishwasher I have ever owned and I'm 67. On AVERAGE 1/3 of dishes do not get clean, regardless of how or where they are positioned...after six month of practice you can still count on rewashing 1/3! Second, NOTHING fits! There are too many tines, all going different directs, all slanted and too close together. Seriously, after paying a grand, my wife wants it out and back to our old $400 Whirlpool. The Whirlpool Quiet Partner out performs, easier to load, etc. Tines are all vertical and in simple rows and widely spaced...makes it a breeze to load. ONLY advantage, it is quiet...I've heard that if you buy one your eligible to get a "SAP" tattoo across your forehead! Glad to see someone has had success; have had mine for over six months, tried EVERYTHING, just unloaded, a typical load...RESULT: 5 Bowls, 1 Spoon, 1 Cup, and 2 Plates have to be rewashed, i.e. HANDWASHED...that's about average! I'd show a picture/video if I knew how. I know it looks good, but bottom line...at least the 500 series…SUCKS.
Please dont buy any LG. They suck in every way. Unreliable...mines needed parts several times in then2 years i had it. Purxhased new and now broke again this time requires new electronic board that cost $ 278. Not gonnna put any more into this garbage LG. I would be embarassd to put my name on it and im an LG fan. Got a great micrwave, tv and some other LG stuff. Never again will i buy another LG dishwasher. Stay far far away fromnthem if you value longevity. 😮
Just an FYI, most people don’t care about water and energy savings. We want something that CLEANS.
Or I don't care if it sounds like a small truck, as look as it cleans and reliable

Great input, thanks for sharing!
I have Frigidaire, the same model covered in the video and it failed after 3 years with panel issue.
My last Bosch lasted 20 years more than my 2 marriages 😂 oh, and so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Quieter than your ex wife?

Have had two Bosch. Both crap
I have a Kenmore built by Bosch in my apartment and I put it to work. I don't prerinse, and I get better results that way contrary to popular belief.
Correct !!! Watch Technology Connections about dishwashers and why you leave small food on dishes. Do not prerinse.
I don’t care about quiet. I care about how well it cleans 🙄🙄🙄
You will care if it’s too loud to watch TV.
This video was made in general and not tailored to you.

@@ellieandadambullion7708 probably what my dad's brother told him after his vows lol
I care about fucking reliability which is basically gone in 2023.
with the Bosch it is not hard wired in there are plugs at both ends of the electric cable so now you need an electrician to put in an outlet
i have a Frigidaire currently. Its not this particular one, but the thing just doesnt clean at all. It came with the house I bought, but at only 3 years old and MSRP of over $1,000 i expected MUCH more.
Me too! My Frigidaire is terrible and looking for Bosch or Miele replacement. Surprised it's on this video,
I totally agree with you. We had a brand new Frididaire came with house. only 2 years and done.
I agree 100%. Frigidaire is stupid crap! Mine only lasted 1 year! A year! That's it!@@jennifereddy2184

To be honest my dishwasher sucks, been lookin for a while so thanks for the viewpoint guess I’ll be looking at that kitchenaid
Great presentation!! Pro
the bosch popping open at the end of wash cycle is bad. All the steam that comes out after time will be hard under countertops and wood cabinets.
Bosch is competing against Miele for quality at a lower price. Having one and not the other in this list is kind of silly
I have a Frigidaire dishwasher, failed in a few months. My Frigidaire microwave failed in 2.5 years.
Thank you! Conflicted between number 1 and 3 and this was helpful!
Glad we may have been able to help with your decision.
Thank you
lets move to the future. . get LG with Steam. .

Perfect.
I heard bosch are horrible. Go with kitchenaide
Does USA not sell Miele? How can they not be on any of the list?
My biggest issue is with the racks both my Maytag (city water)and LG (well water) experienced rusting at the eight year mark. Is Bosch any better.
yes, it's a high end brand. I have a 10yo monogram though, and it works very good.
Very interesting. I saw online where LG actually beats Bosch in reliability. I'm a tad confused 😕

@@JfrogVlog oh no. My lg lasted 7 years but developed a leak under the motor
I replaced it with a Bosch 800 series. I’m happy 😃

Bosch 10 years and still going strong .
best is Miele, next Bosch
didn't get into hard food disposers
