The MOST COMMON REASON why an Interviewer will deny your visa application is -- mukhang mag-TNT ka.

I live near DisneyWorld I see many many tourist groups from China, Japan, etc. maybe the answer is to have an detailed itinerary of your trip when you are interviewed. This would include where you are staying and the activities that are planned for that time. Which could be 5 day trips at Disney 3 day trips at Universal. Visit clearwater beach, St Augustine, NASA, Orlando soccer, etc. This over a 30 day period. Just my $0.02

In my humble opinion, it all depends on the interviewer. For example, I invited and sponsored my niece to come to the US so I have a family support (my loving husband just passed away), I provided invitation letter stating that I will pay for her airfare and expenses for her entire stay, my proof of funds, my niece also provided Cert of Employment from her job, her proof of funds and all other credentials, but the interviewer did not even look at the addtl requirements she brought, instead told her that she should be paying for her airfare because shes employed, so she wasn't granted a US Tourist Visa.. Per my niece, the lady immigration officer was not even friendly.. I knew several of 1st time applicants also have denied visa

@@josephinebrabante3664 Because first world countries look at every third world " visitor " as an immigrant first, not as a tourist. As per experience & frm others, i believe past travels in various neighboring countries can help the consul decide to approve B2 visas as travel is the utmost goal....also if older and have properties in the country where the applicant resides ....

Yes. Travel history and social media accounts are now asked for in the DS160 form (they weren't asked ~5 yrs ago). Travel history as a tourist indicates financial capacity, also real estate/ vehicle ownership, which are some of the factors for tourist visa approval.

  • @desertrose7919

Requirements are just a plus factor. when you apply online requirements are already stipulated in the form. I think it depends on the person who will conduct the interview and by his/her judgement and the sincerity of the applicant just looking straight to their eyes they already know the intentions of the individual.

Honesty is the best policy. You cannot lie your way to a visa.
Consular officers are very strict towards those from Third World countries. Their default stance is to assume you want to migrate to the US regardless of status or reason.
Having no job and the like is another sign you can be denied a visa.

      Too many red flags.
      - what is she gonna do for 2 months in US? Where is she gonna go/stay?
      - who will take care of her kid who will be left behind for 2 months?
      - this is seen as someone who will go to US to find an American to marry or overstay and find work illegally
      - 500k - not enough; how about her kids expenses in PH for 2 months; airfare; possible medical expenses in US; food; accommodations?
I would say establish a good travel history (within neighboring countries) to show that you actually come back to PH. Also have real properties in her name. Save more than 500k.

I guess if you have a job that guarantees you don’t want to work in the US and that you’ve got previous travels then the visa officer will be happy to give you one. Don’t apply if you have other plans apart from visiting, simple as that because they’ll know it for sure.

@emily and @lily - I also think it's after 6 months BUT there must be change in circumstances (example better financial capacity, became regular in the job, travel history, etc). If the applicant's situation is the same, he/ she will likely get denied again. Even Robin Padilla (the actor & now senator) got denied several times (but it was because he had a conviction & was imprisoned). He later got approved to be with his wife for the birth of their child. The wife had a delicate pregnancy & preferred to give birth in the US. (just trivia, lol).

Usually, hindi sila nagbibigay ng visa for compassionate (awa) reasons. Try nyo i-register sa DTI yung rice field nyo as a business (or mag regiater kayo ng business). DTI permit can be applied online, sa DTI website. Kuha rin kayo ng barangay or municipal permit. I've heard na 3 to 6 months ang waiting time ngayon for the interview slots. So kahit mag apply kayo ulit, di kayo makakuha agad ng interview schedule. Tsaka nagtaas na yung visa fee, $185 na ngayon (around 10k pesos).
Kung di talaga kayo mabigyan ng visa, then maybe your partner can arrange to have assistance from the airline. Then pagdating sa US, arrange for a relative or friend to assist him. Mahirap po talaga magkaroon ng US visa. Dapat may sariling pera, strong ties & travel history (plus factor).

If the reason is "to visit BF/ GF" the applicant is usually denied. Another thing to consider is does she have prior travel abroad?
