    My wife was well-prepared and was only asked 3 questions then denied. The girl after her was only asked 2 questions and denied. I think it is a unfair to get people to re-apply and pay more fees for denials. Paying for the application, hotel, and flight to Manila deserves a reason of denial if nothing else. Otherwise, how do you know what to improve next try. All we received was a slip of paper with a list of general reasons.

      You get 30 day visa on arrival. You MUST show travel to another country before your 30 day visa expire. You can take a real trip to a near country for quick trip OR you can buy a throwaway ticket to show immigration when you first arrive. Then before your 30 days expire go to any immigration office to extend your visa.

    • @rfbos
      @rfbos 9 месяцев назад

      @heywoodjablomee6551 You must apply for 29 day extension nearing expiration of your initial 30 day free visa. Afte the 29 day extension nears expiration, you must now file for an extension of 1 or 2 months and also you will be required to apply for an ACR card as it's mansitory. There is no more 6 month extension as of early last week. BI has not announced this anywhere but everyone going for a 6 month has been denied.

      Hi. You may apply for a tourist visa now but in my opinion your chances of approval will be higher when you're already a regular at your new job and have travel history. They (the consuls) look at your rootedness (strong ties to home country, like a regular job or business) and travel history plus financial capacity.

      There is no special visa for a parent of a person in US under a work visa. The parent will have to apply as a regular tourist.
      Only a spouse and/or unmarried children (under 21) of the H1B visa holder are considered dependents and can apply for a different visa.

      It should be enough to cover your whole stay in the US, around $150 per day. However, money in bank is not the only requirement for a visa. Sometimes (or most times) they don't look at your bank certificate. What's important is that you have own financial capacity and strong ties. Travel history is a plus factor.

      Pwede po pero baka mahirapan ka kasi unemployed. You can always try - but remember that the visa fee ($185 or ~10k pesos) is non refundable. Your friend can provide you with a letter of invitation & support. You'll need your friend's name & complete address for the DS160 form. If you get denied, try to work on these things: financial capacity, strong ties & travel history. Good luck.

    Great day Madam. I have a delimma regarding the travel agency who processed my US visa application. It was submitted last August 21 and I already have the confirmation. Fully paid na, but until now they were not able to get me an appointment. What will be the consequence if I cancel my application? Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you

      You can’t cancel it since it paid.
      No refund either

      Hi! Same case here. Need to schedule my interview before December for the holiday season. I applied and paid last July unfortunately the earliest appointment on the dashboard would be Feb 2024. I sought assistance as well with different travel agencies but they cannot provide me earlier schedule. Until one time, I checked the site on a Sunday early in the morning and to my surprise there was available schedule (Oct, Nov, Dec). I immediately booked my interview on October! You just have to be patient on checking the schedule coz when I check in the afternoon (same day), there were no available slots. I don't know with the agency on how they check the schedule. Maybe you can ask the confirmation number so you can check with the site?

    • @kitty_s23456
      @kitty_s23456 10 месяцев назад

      @catherine - the cancellations usually take effect after midnight, so some slots become available in the early hours of the morning (pag madaling araw). As the other poster (xtine) said, maybe you can get your confirmation number from your agency & try to get a slot by yourself.

      They sometimes ask for documents/ proof but usually they don't. They've already assessed you (and did a background check) based on your DS160 form. As an applicant, it's still advised to bring all supporting docs.

      @@brucesanderson7773 prior to covid, spouse visas took 2 to 3 years. I don't know now - they're still processing covid backlog. K1 (fiancée) visas pre-covid took 6 to
      9 months, now they're taking 1 to 2 yrs. If a tourist visa applicant has a pending fiancée or spouse visa petition, it's usually denied.

    US embassy interview officers are mostly local Filipnos, so your chance of a tourist visa being denied is extremely high especially those officers who have been denied themselves. The position is supposed to be un biased but its not. Appears that maybe the embassy may possibly have some type of quota for denile as 80%+ get denied, sometimes many times.
    While i understand the history of why its so hard to obtain a tourist visa, you would think that having a bf with documented evidence they can support the entire trip easily, would have a positive impact. It doesnt. The embassy doesn't even look at the entire application most of the time and while only asking 2 or 3 questions, how on earth can they decide a persons intentions? Its like they already know before you show up their going to deny you. And to futher irritate you more, they give you no reason. And you loose your application fee as well.
    Hopefully US Embassy will soon be audited to make sure their denile practice is above board because it surely seems to be something else going on. However, untill then or some other change presents itself, many will continue to feed the Embassy their hard earned money for NO consideration. Sorry, but thats a fact.
