- buy an epilator with cord (requires no lengthy charging) General: - use at night (after epilating skin is sensitive, avoid sun) - epilate when the hair is short (is less painful) and 1x/week (so that it never grows too long) - can be used all over the body, even face (do patch test first, in case your skin is too sensitive) Before: - take shower in warm water (opens pores, makes less painful) - scrub before epilating (avoids infections, ingrown hairs, bumps) - clean skin (no lotion/powder) before epilating (clogs pores and epilator) During: - pull your skin when epilating (less painful) - move opposite of growth direction, move slowly, hold at 90° After: - apply ice, aloe vera gel, ... after epilating - scrub the day after epilating (avoids ingrown hairs)

My experience with Philips epilator had been pathetic. It hurts. Finally i bought braun's epilator which hurts less. I found calamine hack very very useful. Thanks for sharing ur hacks
I had Philips Satinelle in 2000's and used it exclusively for underarms. In 2015 I bought Braun cordless. I love the freedom it gives me to sit anywhere and epilate. Biggest pro is that these costlier models can be used wet also. I literally put all epilator heads and attachments in water with dettol and sanitize everything. Also it comes with a trimmer, shaver, smaller heads etc. which makes it so easy to use for bikini areas and upper lip. Just stretch your skin properly.
Uhh, I am very much into the topic. Generally I never had a shower before using it, moisture causes the epilator to litterally jump! Better wait the next day to improve this problem. There are two most important steps: 1. apply a specific lotion after each session to restore hydration and reduce redness; and 2. don't forget to sanitize the rotating head of your epilator (mine is a Silk-épil so it can be removed for better cleaning. In any case, rubbing its tweezers with a cotton cloth and alcohol provides good results). I said cotton cloth because it doesn't break or gets stuck into mechanisms like other materials. I'm reading a lot of comments about being so painful that stopped using it. Well, it's true. My very first time was terrible, it took a person to hold me safely in place and another one doing the job! And for the following 8 or 9 years I hadn't been able to manage the issue on my own (mon had still to shave me, but at least the pain was slightly manageable and I could maintain a certain composure!). I started epilating alone at about 18 or 19 years old 😊😊

Hi. Did you use a face epilator? I've seen online and found an epilator which looks like a stick, can the Phillips one that you're referring to does the job of that epilator ( epilating eye brows to be exact)... Please reply
Hello! This video is amazing, I've always had a little struggle with this thingie and your tips helped me out so much. Thank you! The only part I skipped was the aloe vera/ice cube because I handled the pain ❤
Your tips are really useful. I have brought an epilator after watching this video. While it does a good job, but just like waxing, in epilating also few hairs remain. You have to spend a lot of time on it.
Your video got me to invest in an epilator, it's the best decision i made! I'm a chronic plucker, if i feel my body hair's grown i HAVE to get rid of it. I love waxing but its too much work to clean up and i cut myself shaving multiple times. I was soo scared to try epilating because of the noise but i realized they were just tweezers not blades. Despite the initial pain when plucking, they are harmless. Thanks so much for this video! I will be epilating from this point onwards.
@@allyouneedisgodandjesus hey sorry for the late reply but i got philips satinelle. It worked amazing on thick hair but it's a bit harder for the epilator to pluck thin hair down to the roots. Its ok though because my hair grew back much thinner and it bothers me so much less now!
No problem, I thank you for the response. I ended up getting the Emjoi erase and it works but not quite as well as I expected. I just might try the Phillips one.
I use both epilator and waxing. Waxing when done by somebody else is easier . Epilating whole body by yourself takes a long time. Epilation is basically involves plucking of hair in small areas. Waxing more area is covered. Both are initially painful but you get used to the pain eventually.
Great summary. Where I live, spa services are very unprofessional. Your suggestions of keeping up with and without professional help is very sensible and doable.
Really helpful video. I was so skeptical about this. Now i think i might give it a try. And u r easy on d eyes,u know. Thats wat i like abt ur vids.. not overdoing ur looks and all. Minimal makeup.. feels like some friend, just sharing her experience. Keep up d gud work😍

Then use Lacto calamine to moisturize Then use the scub again 2 days later i epilate my legs and underarms. And only have to use one time a month. After epilating 5 years

I thought this epilator can remove the hair root altogether, such that they wont grow again?
@@drax432no, they grow back again, but with constant epilation, there's a high possibility you have less hair and the hair gets softer and finer.

Before:
- take shower in warm water (opens pores, makes less painful)
- scrub before epilating (avoids infections, ingrown hairs, bumps)
- clean skin (no lotion/powder) before epilating (clogs pores and epilator)
During:

- move opposite of growth direction, move slowly, hold at 90°
After:

Thank you for not scaring me . The other videos from other you tubers had me scared 😟 but your so calm! ❤️
Excellent tutorial! I am ready to buy my first epilator. I can deal with the pain but the ingrown hairs was my main concern. Thank u for taking the time to do this video ur advice was very helpful😁
Update: i love my epilator! I followed all instructions on this tutorial but i use tea tree oil after to prevent ingrown hairs. Within time u will get use to the pinching feel but so worth it! Especially if u struggle with having to shave all the time i will never use anything else.
Hey.. does tea tree oil really prevents ingrown hairs?
what scrub do u recommend buying? im having trouble finding one
Congratulations on 1M subscribers
Your voice is so soothing... I watched this video few times before but I am now on my bed tired and ur voice is like a lullaby ❤️😂
Please make a tutorial fr underarm n facial hair removal using epiliator..
Thnks..
U r awesome.. Love u!😘
this video was so so helpful for me coz i’ve purchased the same epilator today without even knowing the methods of using an epilator and i was so damn scared.. thank you prachi you made it so freaking easy for me❤️🥺❤️
From where u bought it?
Hi.
Did you use a face epilator?
I've seen online and found an epilator which looks like a stick, can the Phillips one that you're referring to does the job of that epilator ( epilating eye brows to be exact)... Please reply
Does it darken the skin like razor does
Aishwarya Rathod are you asking..?
I want to ask that how often we need to change an epilator...
also wanted to say, this is a great video! very well spoken and just overall straight to the point and helpful, thank u!!!
My epilator that I had for nearly 10 years just stopped working. So I need to buy a new one so thanks for the video 😊
May I know the model, that lasted for 10 years?!
@@snehajagadeesh1650 It was the Remington Corded Epilator. Model No. EP6010
@@moongoddessjikook can I use eplicator for bikni area hair?
@@HimaniPassionkitchen Yes you can. The area can be very sensitive, so just follow instructions so it causes less pain
@@moongoddessjikook waxing se jyada pain hota h isme ya Kam
Your video got me to invest in an epilator, it's the best decision i made! I'm a chronic plucker, if i feel my body hair's grown i HAVE to get rid of it. I love waxing but its too much work to clean up and i cut myself shaving multiple times. I was soo scared to try epilating because of the noise but i realized they were just tweezers not blades. Despite the initial pain when plucking, they are harmless. Thanks so much for this video! I will be epilating from this point onwards.
Can I ask you which epilator you got and if you used it yet? I want to get one that can remove short coarse hair
@@allyouneedisgodandjesus did you try angling it at 90˚? mine sometimes just cuts without pulling the root if i don't angle it properly
@@dianan.4231 I'll try, I feel that I got at it in different angles but maybe not good enough. Thanks again, I truly appreciate your help 👍
@@maryflanagan6819 Is it painful the sound is scary don't blame her I have had mine for years not getting courage to put it on my skin😂
You're gorgeous and thank you so much. I just got my first one and wanted to educate myself before trying it.
Really helpful video. I was so skeptical about this. Now i think i might give it a try.
And u r easy on d eyes,u know. Thats wat i like abt ur vids.. not overdoing ur looks and all. Minimal makeup.. feels like some friend, just sharing her experience. Keep up d gud work😍
Epilators hurt at first. Use as she said take a shower or bath to open pores. Then Wow face scub remove dead skin. Then epilate. Slowly. Then use Lacto calamine to moisturize Then use the scub again 2 days later i epilate my legs and underarms. And only have to use one time a month. After epilating 5 years
Great tips.. Thanks. Do you have any tips for difficult areas elbows and knees
just a question can we use it for our private area
Yeah but it is 10 times more painful
Greetings from South Africa. Thanks for all the tips. I jusr bought an epilator and really needed some tips.
things i wish was taught in school: exfoliating prevents ingrown hairs and the pain that comes with it
same I'm suffering from ingrowns after epilating and gosh the dark spots ew, but this is the most suitable option for my thickass hair anyways could you please tell how many times a week do you exfoliate and also what do you apply after epilating
I'm new to your channel. I discovered this channel around 2-3days back and I'm so much impressed already. It's like whatever tip i need, I'm firstly searching if Prachi is having any video on this topic. And if I find your video oh I'm sorted then!! Thank You.
omg i just bought an epilator yesterday and I'm so scared of using that shit! but this gave me some confidence ty xx
It feels prickly rather than actual pain and also keep telling yourself that it’s only for a second in each area and it’s less painful over time. It’s not pain, it’s funny prickling type of sensation. You get used to it.
@@emacwakeup thank you sm this certainly helped me i was literally thinking about epilating a minute ago and thid popped up! xoxo
Oh man she is such a good explainer😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Can we use epilator on bikni area but my bikni area's hair is too hard. When i saved it come out within 2 or 3 day and its so poki and irritating. please tell me ma'm
Pull the skin and push very firmly the epilator on the skin
I tried it's very painful I couldn't go through with it 😭
Someone advised me to wax the bikini area and they used epilator for all the body except this area
@@anumakram9164 I wouldn't recommend this epilator. There are ones with for twisers and are better. Also, it is better if you've waxed before. If you've been shaving it will hurt like hell cause the hair is too thick and maybe more than one hair is growing from the same spot. I've used it a couple of times cause of the situation but I wax myself usually 😊
If it is that bad then better wax it for one or two times then start using epilator.
Just purchased the philips satinelle epilator! Can't wait to use an epilator for the first time! 🤞 This video helped! Thank you so much
You are so beautiful! You're like the indian version of Fazura. ❤
Hi

I too use this ...on my legs..bcz I am a girl having hairs much on legs and light on hands ..first time users this may b little painfull if ur hair is thick or more..if its less then no pain...regularly removal will not pain at all
