    Nope. Doesn't work for Windows 11 devices. The instructions say, "Under family, select your child and press 'allow'." That "Allow" button isn't there for Windows 11 devices and so you cannot connect it.

    I have done all the steps, but after signing in to child's account it doesn't show the windows device on Family Safety.

    ,I'm a little confused. Bought the kids laptops and made them an account. I somehow connected them to my account, but I don't know that I made it as a kid account. However, they are still admins on their laptops even though I made myself admin. I'm trying to follow the instructions given through Microsoft Family Safety but when I get to the part where it says to select their account from Family & Other users, to change it, I don't see their account, only my other child's and mine. Do I have to completely sign my child out and sign myself in as admin on her laptop in order to change her account type?

      probably yes. You will need to add it once more to your family. You can add it with their email on your acount

    Doing this way didn't block the chrome browser from my son's profile. Though chrome was shown in the blocked apps list, he was able to open chrome, Mozilla etc and browse any blocked website while logging in from his profile

      This works only on Microsoft Edge. You can delete the other browsers or you can disable any apps

    But if your child has local account in Windows 11 - internal parental control does not work?
    Why? Should I use others parental controls, eg Time Boss, Net Nanny or others?

    • @DexterTutorials
      @DexterTutorials  2 года назад

      Yes. This works only for accounts managed by Microsoft as you will have access to some tools online. You can use any software you like.... but i mostly suggest creating a microsoft account.. it will help much more.

      @@DexterTutorials Also, the child should not have admin rights. Although of course some programs allow this (Time Boss). By the way, your video is very good!

    Is there a way to set time limits for apps on my own account? I'm not a kid, and just want to limit my screen time for myself. With apple this is very simple to do, windows i'm not finding anything

    • @DexterTutorials
      @DexterTutorials  2 года назад

      I think the best way to do it.. is just to create a main account as a family organizer(a new email is fine as well) and add your current user as a member of the family. With that account you can setup for your account screen time. Family organizer can not set time limit for himself

      Any gaming kid has a Microsoft account anyways. This feature actually works so much better than apples and it shows you how much time they spend on a game and you can limit the game from working at certain times or days. You can't do that or even game on an Apple computer. And their parental control features suck, they don't work!

      some options from Mac are good. Some from Windows are nice,
