    Great video 👍 loving the content....little tip cut about 4 inch off the end of a wooden broom handle and use it to point them bricks up will look 👌 much more rustic than a bucket handle.

    Where you clamped the level for plumb. Did the inside corner turn into expansion joint. You can also clamp a pole,level,board etc to the face of the existing wall. To avoid all the pin holes. Nice trowel skills. Bit different than here in Texas. But none the less 1 on top of 2. Keeping head joints and bead joints full. Nice video. Looking forward to the next 1.

    The part where you put your thumb on the bend of the jointer is generally known as the heel of the jointer ,and the tipping of the bricks on the line is known as grinning and shining, I'm not trying to be a know all and in no way trying to be critical of your work, I just like the idea of terms I was tought 40 odd years ago being passed down the generations, great video look forward to seeing more, and good on you for getting into the trade, I have two daughters and everytime i showed them my work, all they said was whatever dad, seen one brick, you've seen em all 😅

    Good job although personally I would use a bit of hose pipe as it's more flexible to follow contours of brick but preferably do a flush joint with them brick would not use a metal jointer but not a criticism and have subbed to enjoy future content good idea with pins to hold bottom of profile, simple and effective and I never have thought of it but every day is a learning day👍

    • @robsonger1
      @robsonger1 3 года назад +3

      yes I agree, a jointing iron is just for straight arris bricks, handmade and slop moulds are much better jointed flush, with a stick or fan belt, (highlighted flush looks awesome but takes twice as long..) and..no expansion joints? but loving this channel....bring it on...

    Sorry if this is a person question but I'm looking to get in to bricklaying and was wondering what they usually pay I saw somewhere that it was like £20 an hour I feel like that's too good to be true ahah is that correct ?

    Hi when jointing the end of the wall put your thumb on the wall but draw the jointer to your thumb instead of away like your doing. Nice to see a young lady in the trade.

    The only good thing about this wall was the fact that you laid the bricks frog up. Plumb is in the vertical, level is in the horizontal I learnt that on my first day. Marshall town jointers do not help you to produce a good finish. Try using a a WHS or Tyzac jointer and a 15 mm diameter rail runner for your bed joint you will see a vast improvement. Pleased to see a young lady giving bricklaying a good go though.

    Why is it that people in UE region lay brick backwards and awkwardly? Lol eachs own but it's just really slow and sloppy and alot of mud wasted.
