From Georgia to California and Texas to Chicago, Chick-fil-A Operators all across the country share a personal message to their loyal customers and fans.
Thank you, Chick-Fil-A! We love that you refuse to back down on standing up for what you believe! You have our support! We wish you a wonderful Christmas - Happy Holidays to those who may celebrate a different holiday this December!
I've been eating Chick Fil A since 1970's when I lived in East Point GA. Thank all of you for being so nice to us, your customers. Keep smiling and brightening our days. Whether you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays - Have a blessed holiday season. We who call ourselves Christian cannot argue & split our mission on earth over the use of words. When we look at God's Calling - these words mean little in His eyes.
Thank you so much for that adorable message please, please keep that positive spirit, your food is awesome and WELCOME TO CHICAGO!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
Linda - I also eat at that restaurant and HAVE to agree with you! Their customer service is phenomenal and the food is always perfectly prepared. I'm so glad to hear someone else appreciates this excellent store.
I would like to extend a wish for a beautiful Christmas and Kwanzaa and a very happy New Year and Tet to all the hard-working Chick-fil-A employees in Bay County, Florida. I have not seen a bad attitude at a Chick-fil-A around Panama City yet!
Merry CHRISTmas to all. May the peace & joy of our Savior reach all of u wherever u are. Thank u also Chick-fil-a. We appreciate ur service. God bless u!! :-)
We have the best Chik-Fil-A in the world (El Con Mall in Tucson AZ). The food is great, the promos are great, but the folks who work there, tirelessly and cheerfully, are fantastic! When they ask to help, they are sincere, and when they say thanks, they mean it!
And I appreciate the superior service I always receive when I go to a Chick Fila! You have totally ruined me from going to many other restaurants ; ) I pray God's blessings for this awesome business, operators and employees who make Chick Fila the "new" standard of doing business. Keep standing by the founding principles of S. Truett Cathy and you will still be standing as 100+ year-old companies fall. "There are many more for us than against us."
Merry CHRISTmas from the Macedonia, Ohio store...and we love everyone! By the way, Over the past week, I heard nothing but "Merry Christmas" to our customers from all of our counter help. I believe this video was more of a thank you message, and was meant to cover Christmas and New Years (end of another year). Lighten up folks and enjoy the giving season! Again, Merry Christmas! From a CFA employee.
Chick fil A, Thank you for some delicious lunches and a calendar that keeps me smiling each month! Next year, tho? How about some more West Coast managers. Would have loved to have seen our guys in Ontario, Industry, and Oxnard in your video! "- )
Thanks Chick Fil A...why so many negative comments, it was a simple wish to everyone for the happiest of holiday seasons, no matter which one you celebrate..really people? I also want to say thank you to them for the incredible amount of care they take at my local restaurant when they prepare my food, as I have Celiac & this is the ONLY place I have never gotten sick because of cross contamination of foods. They change their gloves when they handle my food & I appreciate that more than you know
I don't think it matters whether they say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. It doesn't change the meaning of Christmas in my house. Some people find a problem with everything and ungrateful. Chick-Fil-A always gives away free food and host free children events all throughout the year. No other food chain, at least where I live ever does that! For those of you who expected more ..Why? They don't owe you anything! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all of you guys at Chick-Fil-A!
No denying here. In fact, one of the operators did say MERRY CHRISTMAS. Get off your high horse and quit trying to be a Pharisee. THANK YOU, Mr. Cathy, for your company taking the time to tell your consumers THANKS!
Paul W. and others, I AM a Christian and proud of it, but I don't go around rubbing it in people's faces. In fact, I'd say the reason there are so many "non-Christians" out there is because of people just like you, who give Christianity a bad name, and complain about EVERYTHING. People get sick of having other peoples beliefs pushed off on them, and do anything in their power to not be like those people. DIVERSIFY! Thanks Chick-fil-a, what a beautiful message! You're food is still boss! :)
Paul, it isn't like they stood up and said "We hate Christ and don't believe in Christianity" all of the sudden. I work in a customer service type position (not the fast food industry or a store, however), and we are told to say "Happy Holidays" unless someone wishes us Merry Christmas, then we can say that in return if we wish. It is more to avoid "offending" someone than to deny Christ is part of "Christmas". I DO say Merry Christmas when I have a chance. So, Merry Christmas to you, Paul! ;)
Thank you! I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't see them as trying to be politically correct. I don't get why all these people are having a COW over this video. Just be grateful that a company such as Chick-fil-A is taking the time to say THANKS!
It's a "Thank you/ appreciation" gesture, not a Christmas card. Why must we all find something to argue about? It is a fabulous company that has stood the test of time by standing on God's principles. Now peple actually complain when being told thank you??
A little disappointed as well. Great business and hoped they would take this opportunity to differentiate themselves from all other "Happy Holiday" businesses. Merry Christmas Chick-Fil-A!!
I once was happy to brag on Chick-Fil-A for sticking by their believes. Not anymore, it saddens me to say they caved to the pressure. Mathew 10:33 says "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven". Shame on you Mr.Cathy. " MERRY CHRISTMAS "
Matt, Thank you! It's a self-righteous attitude and spirit. In fact, didn't Jesus say that he without sin cast the first stone? It saddens me to see some of these comments on here. Some of these people have their noses stuck up so high in the air. How can you reach people or be a light to others with the attitude that "I'm holier than you!"?
People, people, people..... Why is everyone so hypersensitive to the lack of "Merry Christmas?" Christian business or not, not every employee they have is Christian nor is it "law" everyone must say "Merry Christmas." Chill. You all missed the "gift" they gave. The gift was "Thank You!" That in itself is beautiful. No other business I shop thought of saying, Thank You." This was thoughtful & kind. "Thank You" Chick-Fil-A for your thoughtfulness & gratitude to we, the consumer.
With that said, I also don't agree with all the gay bashing that Chick-fil-a and people who call themselves "Christians" do, but, on the other hand, I think this summer's big debate was blown WAY out of proportion by BOTH sides. As a Christian, I personally believe what Christ REALLY stood for was unconditional compassion and understanding for others. He would not be proud of either side's reactions, I wouldn't say.
I Appreciate the Well Intended Message BUT, You Missed the Opportunity to STAND BEHIND YOUR IDEOLOGY MERRY CHRISTMAS The SEASON To DISPLAY The CELEBRATION "That Is" of the BIRTH of CHRIST!!!
Maybe because Christmas is a manufactured and rather new celebration. Jesus, for example, was born in the Spring. Many faiths celebrate many events during these months, and they all deserve a happy holiday. Nothing wrong with that -- but this is a business, they need to serve all Americans, not just Christians.
I'm sorry that I even thought for one minute that you could be Christian. I boycott all the businesses that don't say Merry Christmas along with afa.net, because I am not a lukewarm Christian. All of the companies that say "Happy Holidays" in their ads is not acceptable to any Christian, because by omission, you are taking Christ out of Christmas. But you go ahead and have your happy holidays. You don't have to change your ad, unless you want to, but God is watching you! I won't be back
Yeah, 1 out of 14 said Merry Christmas. Do you think it is just coincidence that they are sending this message out on Dec. 24th a day before Christmas or do you think it is because it is Christmas time. No denying it is because it is Christmas time, the celebration of Jesus' Birth. If you are a Christian Organization such as Ckick-Fil-A, you should include Christ in your Christmas message. However, if you are not a Christian, then it not a surprise that you don't.
how exactly was Chick-fil-A gaybashing? Did i miss something? Because all I heard was a man stating he does not believe in same sex marriage. Did he say something more?
Gosh, PRN, lets not get all technical here, but what do you think "gay bashing" means? In my definition, it means "to put down a gay belief". Also, Mr. Cathy did so (twice, actually) as a representative of Chick-fil-A, not as a "private citizen". As I said, though, I don't stand behind either side of the fight on this one, both sides are totally wrong, his statement means no REAL harm to anyone, but he simply should not have said that. It isn't his place to tell others how to live.
I'm all for Merry Christmas but let's get the facts straight. Christmas did not begin with Jesus being born. Church History tells us it began with two bishops looking to find a day to celebrate Jesus' birth. A bishop of Rome responded to a bishop of Jerusalem and wrote Dec.25. Come to find out he chose Dec. 25 back in the mid-4th century in order to sanctify pagan winter feasts and celebrations such as Saturnalia. Let's be thankful for Chick-fil-A and celebrate Christmas by being a true witness.
mattyg1306, you can't help but to question somebody’s Christianity, if they are willing to support somebody that takes CHRIST out of Christmas. If it offends you that I would stand up for CHRIST, that is your problem. The Bible says we will be persecuted for defending Jesus Christ. I guess your proof of that. If Chick-Fil-A is going to claim their a christian organization, they need to stand up for Jesus. " MERRY CHRISTMAS" mattyg1306
I have always this--Claim to be an atheist, Liberal, or whatever, but the TRUTH IS the WOTHOUT THE HISTORICAL AND BIBLICAL FACT THAT JESUS WAS, IS, ALWAYS WILL BE THE ONLY TRUTH, WITHOUT JESUS, EVEN YOU WOULD NOT BE HAVING THIS JOYOUS TIME OF THE YEAR. SO---go ahead and buy gifts, say happy holiday, or take time off from your job, then say--THANK YOU, JESUS!!!
Did you not hear? One of the operators did say MERRY CHRISTMAS. God is watching YOU, too, and He doesn't like self-righteousness so get off your high horse and quit trying to be a Pharisee. So-called "Christians" with a holier-than-thou message distort the true meaning of Christianity. And I'm a Christian, by the way.
Only one of the many "thank you" messages said the words: "Merry Christmas". What's with that?? Lord Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.. so.. "happy holidays" doesn't quite deliver the message in my view. Please stop yielding to all this "political correctness" crap and just say the words: "MERRY CHRISTMAS"
Quite disappointed in this message from such a faith based company. Need to get back to their roots and support their foundation, versus political correctness.
Foolish of me to have wasted my time, I guess, but I DID watch this message only in the hope that you were announcing a more humanity-loving, less-judgemental, (gee, I guess I could say, "more CHRISTIAN") viewpoint being adopted by the owner. I loved your chicken, but can't spend my money with you knowing whatever profit you made from my purchase might be used to support hate-mongering, anti-gay groups ("you" being Chick-Fil-A's owner). BTW, I'm not part of that demographic, just anti-bigotry.
Thank you, Chick-Fil-A! We love that you refuse to back down on standing up for what you believe! You have our support! We wish you a wonderful Christmas - Happy Holidays to those who may celebrate a different holiday this December!

Beautiful comment. Thank you. I don't understand some people who are having issues with this video.
how about Abilene, Texas? :) Merry Christmas!!!

No Merry Christmas from Chic-Fil-a?
I am surprised at the video with Happy Holidays excuse me it is Merry Christmas !!
I really expected a Merry Christmas and not a Happy Holidays! Geez!

Where is the Merry Christmas?!?!
Merry Christmas!!! You are a Christian business, so drop the political correctness, support your beliefs.
