Au début je croyais que les paroles étaient pour Nico. Dans ce clip on voit la top modèle dont il est question. Un destin tragique comme beaucoup d'artistes qui gravitaient sur la scène Underground... Cette chanson est juste parfaite, un petit bijou, un concentré de l'âme de l'époque
Tout à fait ok avec vous..ils mélangeaient tout pour tenir 24h/24 sous les spots de la Silver Factory en 65..et ce rythme la bousillée à petit feu entourée d'autres superstars et de paumés qu'Andy invitait...voila voilà c'est dégueulasse pour cette merveilleuse Edie Sedgwick à jamais dans nos coeurs.
@@chabrake Êtes-vous bien sûr qu'elle fut "merveilleuse", autrement que par son physique, et sa façon d'en jouer, effectivement fascinants? Tout ce que j'ai pu lire ou voir sur elle m'a donné l'impression d'une jeune fille complètement paumée (sans doute en raison d'une vie familiale merdique), mais également arriviste, fascinée par les feux de la rampe, essayant d'être la maîtresse de Bob Dylan et d'autres, et n'ayant guère de substance, comme tant d'autres fantoches filmés par Warhol pour les besoins de son art. Sa fin précoce la transforme artificiellement en ange, mais je ne suis pas certain qu'elle mérite "nos cœurs" (plus que n'importe quelle épave moins glamour).

In later verses he makes it quite clear what he thought of Warhol, as he took everything he could take from Edie and then threw her away. He was not impressed with The Factory scene at all, but I believe it's been said he did like Edie quite a bit. May she rest in peace.
I've spent (wasted?) my life chasing/pursuing this type of girl. Hard to explain but although it's never worked out in the long run (maybe because girls like this aren't meant for "the long run") I wouldn't change a thing.
Edie was an adorable person. Poor edie, to caught up in everything. Bob Dylan wanted her to leave the factory , come with him but she wouldn't leave. In a few years she was dead. Poor edie.
I agree, the Warhol connection ruined her (and other people as well) Warhol was like poison, an absolute narcissistic creep who somehow conned a LOT of people.

Andy Warhol was an egoistic fool. S much ego, drugs, lost people he drew in and and created a pretentious, big drug, sex scene that scewed so many up, fatal for some. But blame is there from me. Warhols motivation for money and notoriety was lethal for others. 🙌🙄

I hadn't ever heard the actual group sing this song only an acoustic guitarist at the bar I use to work at. This song is like fingernails on chalkboards combined with the amplified sound of howler monkeys being skinned alive by hyaenas with Tourette's syndrome....
