She was so beautiful and fun loving. Her style is timeless. Her hair style and clothing look great now. She was ahead of her time. She was used by so many people. I just watched the movie Factory Girl. So sad but she did a lot in a short amount of time. RIH pretty lady.
Very interesting clip--looks like museum quality--could see this in a museum about 1960s American culture. Music background just great. Thanks for posting.
Ever hear the recording of her talking about how her fashion choices around that time were all trauma freak out related? Those weren’t fashion choices for her originally, from the way she described it.
Thank you for posting this. Excellent editing and choice of music...haunting beautiful-as was Edie. Such a timeless, fragile beauty though-like a freshly picked Orchid. You are at once amazed at the breathtaking loveliness, but also painfully aware the beauty will tragically not last. Rest In Peace dearest Edie
Why can't someone be able to make a friggin' statement of _their_ opinion anymore without a bunch of naysayers running up to talk foolishness? I think she had a captivating quality in her style, looks, and movements too.
@@kendallevans4079 yes, I am quite satisfied now....thank you Kendall ;) BTW....do you think of the deepest, darkest depths of the ocean?...because it is the only thing that rivals your endless complexity? 😁
FABulous Work!!! From the Editing, to every Sound in the Best Song Ever to REALLY go with the Whole Scenario. This is the Best I've seen of Edie...And caught her Dancing to The Rascals. I just saw them 2 Nights ago. Best about Edie, Lovely Dear RIP She just might be Dancing Somewhere .. Thank You for Sharing your Artistry.
Great pick choosing Edie dancing to the Crystal Stilts. Edie was part of Warhols Factory, she danced alongside Gerard Malanga in front of the Velvet Underground, and for a short time she was dating John Cale, the real genius behind their sound. And pretty obviously the Velvets had an enormous impact on the sound of the Crystal Stilts, as they also had on so many other artists and bands.
Hi Fellow Edie Fan!!! I watch this so many times. I found a Jeweler who makes her Earrings. He just made the Black ones in the Photos from that Party you show after I asked him. FABulous!!! Available now to All. As a Musical Artist, I Feel you really caught her & the Time then. Wish it was the same; Dancing & Styles. Inspirational; Edie Lives On in All who be different Love her, & do what Art you have done. Love your Work, D
I wish a “time machine” existed in this world. I would journey back through space/time to meet this unbelievably lovely woman...the perpetual enigma, Edie Sedgwick. I know I would somehow, against all odds and reason, try to somehow change the life course that led to your demise. Even if the means existed to visit you in your era, I’m sure I could easily list 100+ reasons why my efforts to save you from your early downfall would fail. I likely could not name one strong valid reason why I would succeed in trying to save you from your fate...yet...I would try anyway. Your free spirited, chaotic, talented, insightful, and eclectic ways DID leave an impression on this world. Those you left behind, a brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and casual acquaintances still remember you and miss you nearly 5 decades after your passing. That is quite a legacy. As for me, I will love and miss you forever dear Edie.
Oh my, this has to be your best work so far! I loved the last half of it the most, you really made her dance with those photos. the footage was great, of course. ah, its a fave for me. :D
A sad story yes, only they did make a film of her it was called "Factory GIRL" with Sienna Miller the Director unfortunately passed away too.. and ever since that film came out girls and actresses alike have been imitating Edie's style like Emma W. Michelle Williams...only i always thought Keira knightly resembled miss Sedgiwck the most ~
Her dad molested her and when she walked in on him screwing a neighbor, he had her committed to a mental health facility to PROVE she was lying. He had sex with anything that was alive. Two of her brothers killed themselves.
@@audrahollis5364 Is that right Audra Hollis? You ink a picture so small and simple that we can call it a blot. Go stain your crotch and point your stink finger at something plausibly suspicious. You can even deny the holocaust.
James Kristoff , twice frozen Hershey bars..... what a great description but I can’t say I really know what that color that is, lol. I’ll have to try it.
Lovely video, pretty girl, so sad what happened to her in the end :-( If they want to make a film about her life, then I think Emma Watson would be a great one to play her. I don't know if it is just me, but Emma Watson reminds me very strongly of Edie.
Every girl I knew had some style from Eddie danced, dressed and lookalikes and yet still had their own freedom and personality to be themselves Eddie was is phenomenal.
Maybe you don´t know the 60s enough. short hair was very in fashion during the mid sixties for cool women. Check the model Twiggy. On the other hand if she was "current" she will have tatoos and she will be twerking.
This time period was before my time, but looking at it, I do not like it ,much--it is like some sinister siren drawing people to their death through flimflam, like the tragedy of Edie. Some of the music, dancing, fashion, and other art was great though. Great video. I can keep watching this.
Edie Sedgwick would be 80 years old today, 20 April 2023. Thinking of her today. 🌷
and people still think the manic pixie dream girl is a 21st century creature...
Omg this gives me so many damn memories. I was obsessed with this video years ago when I was a teenager. You introduced me to this song

her personal ideas of fashion are timeless, she's wearing things that the industry will use tomrw. amazing. ....and that smile... damn
Ikr! I'm in love with her style, I bought long dangle earrings and an arm cuff because of her and I never wear jewelry.
That smile. Pure incandescence.

The song playing is as beautiful and tragic as she was. Man what a human being

Every time I listen to this song, I think of this beautiful angel
Everything about her is epic.
LM Kit Carson absolutely nailed it in an interview when he said Edie was a major soul.
Loved Edie she was way ahead of her time

She really was a great dancer....had her own unique style, and it was always changing...like she had her own internal rhythm

thank you for putting this together! i love Edie, she was such an amazing person!
This is nice. It's good seeing someone (Edie) having a really good time with such unhinged abandon. She just went for it. I admire that. :))
She was so beautiful but so damaged and so lost. I have such compassion for her and wish her life coukd have been different.

What gorgeous music you have found for this video collection. Poor girl. Such a shallow, empty life she lived.
Edie a go-go.
Very cool soundtrack by Crystal Stilts to accompany the beautiful and haunting images of the late Edith Minturn "Edie" Sedgwick Post.
