      I remember everyone dancing like this. It was the style so no one thought anything of it. Funny that looking back to other eras than the current, styles of dance, hairdos, clothes etc. look like the olden days. I love all the differences but boy times just moves on and reality always changes!

      eugene brodeur The "he" in question wasn't Warhol, it was referring to Edie's dancing partner -- co-star here, Gerard Malanga.

    Strong beat of mid 60's Motown music- would take you over. Well done in this clip. Even with no back story, the record replays because there was no stack of 45's - so play the best record you have. It was real and immediate.

    Shame that we hardly see men dance anymore. Not surprised really with all the negative comments from women making fun about they way men dance. Just let people be and enjoy themselves.

    I love this song but the 1971 Stanley Kubrick version is a whole lot better. Greatest film by the greatest director. The greatest film of all time no doubt.

    Edie is the one to watch here! Gerard’s dancing is unintentionally hilarious, but I give him credit for the effort & not being afraid of looking girly.

    The people living off Warhol's fame are trying to convince us that Warhol's awful and unwatchable films are wonderful, and that we don't understand what Warhol was trying to do. Keep trying.

    I've always thought that Warhol exposed how shallow and transactional American Culture is by producing cheap shallow images. But I just inherited a 'Blue Marilyn' print so I guess I'll have to refine my point of view.
