Project update and why I dislike adventure bikes so much!

- This channel is dedicated to all of the other ‘tits in a shed’ out there. Unlike many RUclipsrs and ‘influencers’ out there, my motivation for this channel is not to be on RUclips. Bikes are a hobby for me and I love my hobby and it is a welcome distraction from, lets face it, the rest of the real world.
For me, this channel is a welcome by-product of my hobby. While, in contrast to a busy personal/professional life, I love the relative solitude of ‘titting around in a shed’. RUclips allows me to share it, gain insight from others and, just as importantly seek help when I get stuck or mess something up.
It might surprise you that there is no Patreon link in this speal as it is where most people stash it. I don’t have Patreon and nor do I have any intention in starting one. This is my hobby and I don’t see why I should try and get money out of others to do so. My channel is monetised which brings a tiny income but that is mainly because RUclips put adverts in anyway; why not use it to by carb cleaner once a month! You may also notice that very rarely come out with the ‘click like and subscribe’ comment either. This probably doesn’t do the channels slow growth a great deal of good either but I find it annoying when other RUclipsrs do it all the time.
All I ask is some interaction. If you like what you see, please let me know. If you know a better way of doing something or spot (one of many) mistakes, then drop me a comment and help me or others doing a similar task do it better next time.
Above all, I am Nat and welcome to my nackers yard. I hope you enjoy the journey.
P.S. I know that Nackers should start with a K to describe the old horse yards but NKY sounded a bit too much like a lube!
Great Central London shots. Thanks for posting
Your welcome to it.
Forgot to add. Your CX appears like it would ride around the world and not knock its sump out. Cracking bike!
The big adventure bikes are for older ex sports bike riders who have the cash and still have need for speed with a bit more comfort
Hi Nat. I agree with your comments on the blurb. I am another tit in a shed and get as much enjoyment from bikes, repairing and servicing them as I do riding. Stereotyping takes away our individual humanity. I have a BMW R1150 RT and would happily ride it through Africa. I wont therefore have a BMW tourer with the same engine as a GS, but with a bit less ground clearance. I do a bit of soft off roading on my Himalayan and riding down the shops. I think I look like a fat Steve McQueen, very unlikely to jump over the Swiss border. It is a 400ish cc and plods along like a tractor! I don't get why anyone would want a 1000cc+ bike to go off roading. It would be on its side and hurt me!!
Take Care
Nat ffs stay out of cycle lanes it's illegal and with cameras everywhere you lucky if you don't already have a ticket
And seriously be more careful how you filter you are lucky you haven't been hit already I would advise you look at some advanced riding lessons before you get hurt.
I think Nat was half asleep, he didn't appear to be aware he was doing it
It's London, The Rat race.
Ted simon went round the world on a 500 triumph bike, it was just a road bike. So i think adventure bikes are just moneypits and not essential.
adventure bikes = only decent if you're actually riding them offroad and using them as they are designed to be, not just for wandering around cities/urban areas in, they just look so out of place
All of your bikes turn out to be an adventure, Nat.
If you want to go off road, get a proper off road bike. If you manage to find one, an XT550 is a scream. Ugly as sin but a stupid wheely machine.
