Go thd might Del , u FOCKER!!😃

    • @NatsNackersYard
      @NatsNackersYard 14 дней назад

      I looked for days to find a Yamaha approved torque spec for the dot/spot and came up dry. I will happily remove the short if proven otherwise. As for the source that it is potentially dangerous, it is a main brake fluid seal! If it is under or over torqued there is a significant risk of failure.

    • @rickyapearman
      @rickyapearman 14 дней назад

      @@NatsNackersYardwhy would it matter if it was Yamaha approved tourque spec? As long as it is calculated correctly the torque setting will be ok. No torque setting is an absolute, just a guide. How often are your torque wrenches calibrated? Are they even applying the torque you think they are? This could be just as dangerous even if Yamaha gave you the correct torque setting. P.s I think delboy is a dick and shouldn’t be advising people to do this.

      @NatsNackersYard 13 дней назад

       @rickyapearman no torque setting is absolute but, for something as critical as brakes, why risk it on guesswork? The blue dot is essentially a cap that two pistons are hydraulically pushing back against to stop your bike. If they fail, you are in a heap of trouble.

    Hello Nat, its a very interesting subject. From an environmental point of view (not from a taxation point) any measure that stops people burning fossil fuels, especially in built up areas is going to be a step forward. I live in the West Midlands and Iv never known the roads so busy. Another matter is the large numbers of big heavy off road vehicle being driven. No matter what your point of view its pretty obvious that VED and fossil fuels at just £1.60 odd per litre are not encouraging motorists to drive less, if they were the roads would be half empty

    I've used the parts website where you enter your reg and then they send out the correct item only to find its the wrong bit. Annoying.

    The fun begins! Standard Super Dream bores are 62mm so you're about 0.5mm oversize. With a 41.4mm stroke, that will give you an increased capacity of about 254cc. Do you think you ought to uprate the clutch to deal with the extra power? 🙄

    Rye has gone for the Yank style of channel, not really my cuppa tea. I prefer something a little more relatable and educational. (Also why I like watching Hudson, although I can't relate as he's a wizard).
