I had exactly this scenario happen to me -- regulator broke in the evening with rain coming, window fell in. At the advice of this video, I used clamps to hold the window up and ordered a regulator. Went on a weekend trip with the clamps in place. Returned home and followed the second half of the instructions which went perfectly. A+ youtube content.
Wow! Good thing these trucks are bullet proof. A little flooding can't kill them. Thanks for sharing the story! Funny coincidence, my Avalanche rear widow motor went bad recently. Same left rear. Weird quirk about these.
You would think those window switches would be a dime a dozen, but they are scarce as hen's teeth. I'm going to have to try that JB Weld trick on my rear window switches for my 'Burb.
It's funny that you say that. I had thought I could just pick one up on ebay for a few bucks but when I saw what they were going for I was like, "Nope. JB Weld it is." :)
I got it from Amazon. Good luck! It's a fairly easy job. Be sure to verify which side and front or rear door. Here's the link to what I replaced: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DPS6RHK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Nice video. Going to open mine up tomorrow !
Thanks! Good luck on the replacement. It's a fairly simple job like most things on these 9th gen Suburbans.

Saw those prices too! My friend 3d printed them for me!!
Thank you for your upload.
Glad you found it helpful! I just had the exact window go on my 2004 Avalanche. Same process but cleaner video because I wasn't in a rush. :)
Thanks, Dude. Big help. Much appreciated.
Glad it was able to help! It's a fairly easy process.
Let’s get busy 😉

Thanks! These 9th gen Chevy Suburbans are quite easy to keep up with.
Currently fixing mine, where did you order your part?
