All this time I thought the fates and the Graeae were the same. But after reading this, I did some extra research and found that you’re correct. Thanks for teaching me something new!
@@mustafalatif498 The Graeae were three sisters in Greek mythology, who shared one eye and one tooth among them. Their names were Deino (dread), Enyo (horror) and Pemphredo (alarm). They were the daughters of the sea gods Phorcys and Ceto, and sisters of the Gorgons. They took turns using their eye and their tooth. They appeared in the myth of Perseus, who was trying to find out where three magical objects were located, in order to kill Medusa. He went to the Graeae's cave, and stole their eye. He then told them he would return it if they told him where the three objects were
Being a bit of a bloody show, I love that they use the art style they used on Castlevania. Story also adapted to be similar to Castlevania tho, not sure if I like that :/ But I am looking forward to this anime nonetheless
1:56 actually the fates have normal eyes, the greek godesses with one eye are called the Greae, commun misunderstanding caused by the movie Hercules by disney
5:02 Yup, that's Hera alright :3 5:25 I totally agree, I was like: how is Hera connected with these crows/ravens? 5:48 Actually, Hermes has winged shoes, but his staff thingy just turned into an arm accessory 6:00 That's Talos (If that's what he is called, he is Hepaestus' robot that died)
Well pointing out that Hera doesn't have any element and it was the Queen of the Sky before Zeus made his move. So I think telekinesis is quite ok from my perspective!
In Greek mythology, Erodius (Ancient Greek: Ἐροδιός, romanized: Erodios, lit. 'heron') is the son of Autonous (son of Melaneus) and Hippodamia. He was the brother of Acanthis, Acanthus, Anthus and Schoeneus. He was transformed into a heron by Zeus and Apollo
I feel like this is mostly Netflix playing around with Greek Mythology and seeing what they can do with it, how well it'll do etc. But its still a good show.
Hades is probably just sitting in the underworld with a decent book, a bottle of wine and Cerebus dead asleep while this is going on 😂😂 Probably just sitting there like "Not...my problem"
I like Heron, Apollo, Hermes, Zeus, and Artemis in the series. I skipped a few episodes to see if there was a good ending. I considered the ending to be fine, but the episodes I skipped I didn't want to watch because of their summary.
I see Hera more as a villian than Zeus usually. In fact, Zeus did save Hades and Poseidon and did have a heroic child Heracles. But Hera, she wanted to destroy those women which makes her Envy. But to be fair, werewolves are Zeus' fault. Well, what I heard it was his fault. I don't know. I'm just a Christian who knows Christianity way more than Greek Mythology but I'm working on it. It's ok to not know stuff because once upon a time, you were that person and maybe still that person.
I thought this Heron guy was suppose to be a placeholder for Heracles, but nope. Apparently Heracles already exists in this movie's universe and it's not that guy. Heron is just a made up character. I mean with how many characters are in greek mythology do you REALLY need to invent a new one?
I doubt it..seems like Hera. Why would hecate try to kill zeus or shown to be rageful? We also see hera in the fight with the titans towards tbe beginning. Makes sense for hera to be angry towards zeuz
@@Alphapkmn ya they pretty clearly made him the evil lord of the dead, who enslaved and manipulated a child into becoming a monster. Sounds pretty Satan-y
@@FoxHound-ut1hu I don’t know where you’re getting this, he does nothing in the entire series besides offer the Underworld as a neutral place, and reclaiming his bident at the end. There’s no mention of enslaving or manipulating a child. He’s not mentioned to be evil, and is certainly not portrayed as Satan as he literally looks like an older version of Zeus.
Of course the main character has to be new and original. How else are people going to immerse themselves into the story if not through the eyes of a newbie, unasuming, ignorant character?

A few inaccuracies can be excused cause the myths have been a few thousand years old and some miscommunications can be passed along as well.
